slight ridge effect?

i wonder if anyone else seems to see what i am. with the screen off angle the screen to reflect white light. you get a kind of rainbow pattern. this afaik is fairly normal. but i notice on the top edge of the screen the rainbowing seems to compress. im assuming this is because the mesh within the screen is crimped within a frame. what im noticing on mine is on the top left hand corner theres a tiny oval blob of the rainbowing as if the layers are seperating underneath the glass
is anyone else seeing it in the same spot or just me

Loose screen panel

Hi guys,
Received my 6P today and noticed that the screen is slightly loose on the bottom left corner. It moves slightly if i pay close attention and push down with a bit of force.
Here is a picture where you can see the black of the screen slightly higher on the left side compared to the right.

Anyone else have this on any corners of their device?
Get a replacement. That is defective. Over time that will become a problem

A7 A700FD screen lifting off a bit issue

My screen / glass is lifting off a little bit (just a little bit) on the upper most right part corner of the phone near the front cam. Is this normal?
When I press that part, I can feel that the glass is pressing a little bit.

S8+ screen shadow on edges

Hello,
After I received the latest update which enabled more options like gamma in display settings I've noticed while browsing that on a full screen white background the edges tends to drop somehow a gray shadow.
While I think this is kind of normal because of the edge curvature, looking straight in the center of the phone, the right shadow is somehow more pronounced than the left one.
If I move the phone a bit to the left or turn it few degrees to the left, the right shadow disappears while the left is starting to be pronounced.
Also when I look at the phone horizontal, with the usb connector on the right side, the bottom edge doesn't exhibit any pronounced shadow while the top can be seen. The top shadow is the previously right one.
If I turn it with the usb connector on the left, the bottom shadow is visible while is also the top one. Previously the bottom was not visible.
I was thinking maybe this is how the crystals are aligned like in a tn screen when looking from bellow the center screen the top starts to get darken, but from left to right not top to bottom on s8 plus.
I know it's not a tn screen but still, maybe this technology has a small drawback.
I went in 2 retail shops to check their displayed testing phones.
One of them had a smaller gray shadow on the right side than mine, but had a very faded red shadow on the left side. While the other seemed somehow equal on shadows, I couldn't figure it out better because of the blue neon lights in the store. The best can be seen at home during the night or in moderate day light. Anyway when I put my hands around the screen it seemed to have a bit more shadow on right side but less than mine, but no faded red on left side. Also I noticed that the white was different on all 3 of them, but this is not an issue.
Did someone else can also test this shadow behaviour if it is more pronounced on the right than on the left side and also if it's not visible at the bottom with the usb port at the right while is visible top and bottom with the usb connector on the left ?
Thanks

Prox sensor only works when holding corner of screen

Hi all
Today I noticed that the left hand upper corner of my screen is lifting slightly above the edge of the frame, about 1 mm max. I can push it down but it lifts again after 10 seconds of so . I also discovered this affects the operation proximity sensor.
For example, when i make a call (phone, whatsapp, etc) the screen goes black and stays black until the call is ended, no matter how close the phone is to my ear. This indicates symptoms of the prox sensor not working. But if i hold the screen gently at the left top corner (effectively re-seating the screen) the prox works just fine during calls.
*#0*# sensor check confirms this as well. Prox does not work unless i hold the corner of the screen
Otherwise phone is fine.
Wondering if i need new adhesive on this part of the screen?
Any other suggestions please?
Solution...
Gently, very, very gently, lift the screen at both corners. Guitar picks are good for this. Only lift about 2-3mm.
Then get some double sided 2mm wide tape. Stick the tape along the top edge of the phone frame using thin tweezers. Best length is between front camera (on the right) and LED (on the left). Its a bit fiddly to get the tape into the exact position but it can be done.
Once in place remove the tape backing
Remove guitar picks
Gently pres on hold screen for the tape to bond
Hey presto.
