Hello this is my first post, i made it because i read these forums everyday and i been looking for a fix to my Gameloft lagging problems. Ex. Dungeon Hunter 2. Idk if someone has already posted this if so i'm sorry, i found that if you download the "hd" version of Gameloft games on play they will lag ALOT. Even if like me you have no bloatware and 280mb ram free it will lag like hell. But if you download the non "hd" version of any Gameloft game( as i tryed) so far no lag at all. Dungeon Hunter 2 lagfree, Modern Combat 3 no lag, and Order & chaos lagfree.
So for those having problems like me with lag try the non "hd' ones should fix your lag. again sorry if this has already been covered. and for those who have "hd" and have no lag well your lucky.
nvm i noticed alot of the non hd ones they dont show on there store anymore i got mine from... yea
where to find these non hd versions?
The way i found some is i noticed on andriid market some are non hd like order &chaos or mc3 you can tell cause you wont see hd in picture, as for dh2 you need to do some Google. For some reasin gameloft site dosent show non hd ones but andriod market does for some
This is absolutly stupid. The versions are not different. If evan if they would be , they would allways render only on the screen resolution never higher. So evan if some games sopprt higher resolution, that does not make a difference.
Also gameloft names HD not becouse of the resuloution but becouse of the qualety. The non HD games loook more like J2ME Games and are playable on low end phones.
On some games (MC3) Gameloft never made gave the name HD or they include a HD and a non Hd Version (Tintin).
Hi yall!
Just got my gs4/9505 it has version 4.3
On it but it lags as hell at games
Like dead trigger 2 and others...
I had before that an iPhone 5 and lg g pro
And never had any lag at games and any task as this device. .
Anyone has the same problem as I do with the 9505?
Or even with the 9500 octa?

I don't play that games, but reasons for lags could be many. Some video games are not optimized for all drivers / GPUs.
Samsung's phones are so filled with bloat I wonder they work at all. This with knox is a totally new dimension. I always root, and at least remove everything I don't need and/or go AOSP/CM as soon as I can.
Back to your problem. Activate developer options, by tapping Build Number (Settings - about phone.). There you'll find options 'force GPU rendering' and 'disable HW overlays'. Play with these and see if it helps.

Too bad..a great powerhorse being kicked in the nuts
By laggy software. ..
Im on 4.3 since day one is there any change from 4.2.2
To 4.3?
Changing my device to 9500 will do any difference?
Im not facing any issues on I9500

Done factory reset and the phone now back to normal.
Games are a bit lagging but not that
Serious.
Its a shame that the adreno 320 cant handle / not optimized
For games...with my older nexus4 I had no problems
Maybe because the high resulotion instead of 720p...
I play that game on High settings and never experienced a lag. Make sure you have turned Off Power Save Mode and give Antutu a try to know what's going on with your phone.
Im not on psm and for instance Dead trigger 2 is lagging on high settings.
My os is 4.3 XXUMK9 and antutu gives me 29663pts
Hello Everybody,
Well,I guess its over a month since I've bought my smartphone [Grand 2] but I am noticing very minor lags on even low end games.
Well,Grand 2 is well equipped with quite good specifications but Still games like Temple run,Temple run 2,GTA Vice City is lagging.Though,The lags are very minor.Touch is responsive but there's a lil lag in Graphics rendering.
I don't why its happening so,
I tried almost each and everything- Disabled Bloatwares [NO ROOT],Disable S Voice,No widgets at Home Screen,Tried clearing RAM before each gameplay,Changed Windows and Animation scales to "OFF" in Developers Settings but still there no such effect.
I also own a Nexus 7 but I am able to play each and every game without any lag even GTA SAN and GTA VC.
I don't know what's the issue with this Samsung Galaxy Grand 2.
Can anyone please help me out of this trouble?
I am really regretting right now that Why I am bought this smartphone.
Thank you!!
Thats weird. I've been playing a lot of Low-end as well as High-end games on Grand 2 and Rarely experience any lags.
I'm not really sure if this works :fingers-crossed: but you can try downloading Clean Master from the play store. It provides a Game booster feature which says that it'll speed up your games by up to 25%. You can add a game booster shortcut folder on your homescreen and whenever you start games from this folder, it'll speed em up.
I am sure you would have checked it but still, did you bychance have the power saving mode on?

update to the latest version this lag had been fixed. and while playing game disabled power saving mode ,close all the running apps and do force stop and clear ram and sometimes phone memory get fulled also caused phone slow so see ur internal memory as well.
Do you mean, HD games want to play well & smooth on midrange smartphone?
Just try to disable unwanted apps like samsung apps etc...
In my experience, maintain ram free above 500mb. Now i can able to play games smooth & without more lag.

the thing is...after the Kitkat update that is the 4.4,2 every basic game has some minor or considerable lag. Its not the device that has the problem ,its the update that has the bugs. Jellybean never had any such lag in any basic game.
I got solution

Hi I just bought galaxy s7 edge, phone is amazing but the biggest issue is performance, most games dropping frames below 30fps even temple run 2 or candy crush soda, sky force, heartstone etc. These games where running on may galaxy s5 smooth I'm really disappointed right now and don't know what to do. Is it a hardware or software issue? Can u help me please?
temple run and candy crush works fine on my phone
ye GS7 has the worst gaming performance in flagship device for years, there is not much u can do without root, and even with root the solution is not optimal to use.
U can however disable gameservice which might help or not, u need package disable pro in order to do so if u don't have root.
You mean best gaming perform. Zero issues here

no one of the worst, the fact that u don't have issues does not mean it's working perfect, u might not be able to see it.
Again not all games effected, mine games currently are Tekken on PPSSPP and Angry birds 2 on high levels 200+, both lags so bad it's not funny, Note 5 on 5.1.1 was light years ahead of S7.

i did everything, i can prove that it's the software that throttling the phone, not hardware.
If u disable DVFS via root, 85% of the lag is gone just like that.

Hi how U do that?
thank's
First u need to be rooted then install xpose, then u need the disable dvfs module, activate it restart phone, let it cool down and try your games

Thanks man. Just a question when u root u have to factory reset the phone?
Not at all but it will trip knox and your software warranty will wear off.
I just give up to play Need for Speed No Limits on my S7 Edge Exynos. Is just impossible to play after 5 minutes.
Just as a information I played the same game on a old Galaxy S4 Mini witch has much lower hardware specs, and no problems at all. Samsung just lie when says a S7 is a phone for games
the hardware is there, the software is limiting and yes that annoying, guys just spam their twitter account and try to go to higher ranks, if we all work together something might happen.
Make sure you don't have any accessibility services enabled. I had to have it enabled for a swipe down to open the notification drawer in my launcher, but discovered that enabling any accessibility service really slows down the entire phone.

Disabled Nova Launcher and Geenify services on Accesibility and now tha game runs smoother, and by the way the phone feels cooler, will test more.
At some point slow down a bit but not as used to be.
thanks
