So basically I want to watch TV without disturbing wife and kids at night by streaming audio from tv to my phone and listen to the audio through my normal phone earplugs.
I have a Samsung UA324500 smart tv and a Note 4 N910G. I also have a bluetooth audio receiver to basically stream music from my phone to my other non bluetooth speakers.
I connected the bluetooth device to my tv to the headphone Jack and paired the device. However I can't get to stream audio from tv to my phone.
Is there any way I can achieve this without breaking bank?
Dear Moderator, Kindly move this thread to Q & A section. In my haste I posted it in general section. I apologise for the mistake.

I just bought a new JVC receiver for my car. I want to use my Nexus 4 to play back music via Bluetooth Audio. When I use my iPhone 4 or Lumia 920, Bluetooth audio work fine and show media information, but my Nexus does not. (Actually, my Lumia locks up horribly, but that's another forum discussion)
I don't know how to explain, so I posted this video. On the screen, you see the track/artist info via BT streaming. When I use my Nexus 4 - no info at all, just the playback buttons.
Currently using Xylon with Franco kernel. Would this matter?

EDIT: Turns out that the AVRCP Bluetooth protocol is either unsupported or broken. *sigh*
I recently purshased the N7 ASUS dock, and I have it set up connecting to some speakers in my lounge. My question is: can I connect to my N7 through bluetooth and stream music through it to the speakers? I have friends over frequently, and I'd like for them to be able to play music if they would like. I know I could buy a bluetooth receiver, but it seems like this is something that could be accomplished.
Perhaps you should try it right now and see. But I doubt it'll work.

What would you be streaming from? Using something like bubble upnp you can stream music, movies, photos from one device to another. Don't even need Bluetooth. Just need both devices on the same network

I was hoping to use it as an A2DP pass through from my phone or my friends' phones. All the research I have done shows its possible, just incredibly difficult.
Just upgraded from a Note 2 to a Note 3. I stream audio to both my cars and have noticed the Note 3 in both vehicles, experience a clicking or pop during playback. Slacker, Media Player, Amazon MP3, all have the same result. Also it doesn't make a different if the screens on or off. Neither does charging during playback. Both devices I stream to are dmzmusic bluetooth dongles. My LG bluetooth headphones work fine.
Anyone else experienced this?
Removed my Galaxy Gear pairing and software when I returned the watch. No more clicks!

Hello!
Real quick question and haven't seen anything recent about it. Do Bluetooth headphones work with the nexus player yet?
Thanks for any info. About to set up an audio/video situation and this would be perfect for me!
Just paired my Jaybird X2's with it and they work.
They work after the Marshmallow OTA.
I have tried BT heaphones with Nexus Player and it doesn't work as well as the Fire TV. I get a lot of stuttering with the Nexus Player. Not sure if it's casue if the BT is better in Fire TV.
I have some that work and some that don't. Right now I have a Bluetooth receiver that I can connect to my wired headphones so I can watch movies at night without bothering the family.
is it possible to do it with a app that is running on the phone. For example ios or android phone. because these devices have the bluetooth feature
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to stream Audio from firetv stick to my phone via Bluetooth or WiFi and watch movies without disturbing others at night. Any help on this will be appreciated
Absolutely, this is a pretty easy one...
I have a Vizio Smart1080 blah blah etc etc... On my phone I've downloaded SmartCast Mobile found within Googles Slay Store. Within Vizio's settings, you can set the TV remote up as the firestick by use of CEC, which allows your TV remote to sync to the fire remote controlling complete functionality. Then, I setup SmartCast Mobile by following instructions that were given after the the setup of SM on my phone on the TV's end of things. Basically If your Tv is 'smart', yes. there is a way </BushDidIt>
Stereo Bluetooth is the best option
You can use any stereo bluetooth headset with firetv and the audio will be transmitted from stick to the headset.

I'm struggling to set up some new headphones. Amazon state they don't support headphones with a microphone.
Any workaround please?
