My wifi won't stay on. It just keeps switching off. Here's what happened:
Non root. OTA update to 6.0 Marshmallow.
Unlocked bootloader.
Flashed TWRP. - Stuck on bootloop, then blank screen.
Went on Recovery and did factory reset. No change.
Flashed stock firmware for 5.1.1
Now wifi won't switch on. This is my 2nd phone now it happened to. Both Moto X Pure.
How can I get this fixed? I've done a lot of research and nothing worked.
I think that your Wi.fi is not working at all, You just need to flash the file Non.Bin modem from Lollipop file again.

So do I copy NON-HLOS.bin to the Fastboot, then flash it as an image?

Brilliant! Thanks very much! Now how can I flash TWRP on Marshmallow without bootloop?
I can install TWRP fine with Marshmallow. Now my issue and concern is that when I flash SuperSU (Either TWRP prompts me for install, or flash it manually), I lose everything. Stays on the logo screen, then eventually to a blank screen. How can I get SuperSU on with Marshmallow?

try this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/wip-systemless-root-t3263405 - DO NOT let TWRP install SU !!!
You can use systemless root by chain fire, just flash supersu 2.62-3 version, not 2.64. Flash this file with TWRP, and keep the system partition read only, when TWRP ask it. Try this link,to download suppers file at the bottom of the page.

That worked. Thank you very much to all!
So this morning I got an update to fix the voLTE bug. I'm unlocked with twrp installed and rooted. Just for the sake of experimenting I tried installing it. Well that didn't work. Just gets stuck in twrp recovery and you have to power the phone off completely to get it to boot. I guess my question (even though it's a little early) is there a way to install the update without reverting back to stock?
EDIT: Link to the zip

I don't believe so.
In the past you either had to go back to stock or wait on someone to create a compatible update for rooted devices.
Can you post link to zip?
If you are rooted, you can find the zip in cache folder in recovery.
Can you add what variant and build you are using before the update? Also the build afterwards?

I got the update, but all I see on my magisk rooted G5+ in /cache/recovery are log files and the fstab files. Anywhere else to look?

Yeah I can't find anything in that folder either.
I received the update and applied it. I am not rooted.
I have the XT1687 model.
My current build number is NPN25.137-35
My device BL unlocked, TWRP installed and rooted with magisck.
I'm getting the update notification and splash screens several times daily.
Anyone rooted try installing the update with Flashfire app?

If you have systemless supersu, you should just be able to apply the update after reverting to stock recovery.
So I found where the zip downloads. I wonder what flashing it in twrp would do?
EDIT: Here's the link to the zip and I've put it in the OP.

OK, so I tried flashing recovery.img from stock firmware build 33. But the OTA update will not install, instead I get an error after downloading and rebooting (red triangle at recovery mode).
So I tried fully reverting to stock firmware but I decided to skip over erasing userdata. Afterward the OTA downloaded and installed successfully. Keeping userdata does not seem to have caused an issue.
My problem now though is how to get root back without having to wipe userdata after re-flashing TWRP.
Or is this not possible and if I want to root I must first wipe userdata so that TWRP can read internal memory?

Just tried flashing it with TWRP and no luck:
Verifying current system....
E3002: Package expects build thumbprint of 7.0/NPN25.137-35/37:user/release-keys or 7.0/NPN25.137-33/35:user/release-keys; this device has .
Updated process ended with ERROR: 7
which doesn't make much sense since I rooted the stock ROM (Build number reads NPN25.137-33).
If your using a custom recovery flash the stock recovery, then go to the stock recovery and using your computer flash using adb sideboard command. I assume you already know how to do this. Hope that helps.

I'm stuck in the same boat... no idea how to flash the stock recovery and sideboard, what that even means, or if that would break root. I just followed the step-by-step "how to root" video when I first got the phone
There's a workaround to disable the "advanced LTE" or whatever it was called, so I did that. But in the meantime until a more "user friendly" means of updating is available, is there a way I can get rid of this nag screen? Way back on an earlier device (Samsung Charge?) I remember manually editing a "build.prop" file or something to match the latest version so I wouldn't keep getting the software update nag. Is there something that will do the same here, or is there a system app I can freeze in TiB?
My best guess is freezing "Moto Actions 03.022.1.4-N" because it's showing "(updated)" on the side.

What he means is you need to download the stock rom, unzip it, then boot phone to bootloader mode and connect to PC. Then flash the recovery.IMG from the stock rom folder with command prompt:
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then you can on the phone tell it to boot to recovery mode. This will be a screen with Android on his back and the words NO Command on the bottom. Then plug to PC and use adb command to sideload the update zip like this:
adb sideload [nameofupdatefile].Zip

Strange, reflashed the stock recovery and adb can't see it (adb devices returns nothing). And when trying to install it via the normal OTA way, the stock recovery tries to install but ends with an error.
That's what happened to me when I tried reverting to stock recovery and then trying to install update from phone Settings app.
I ended up having to revert to stock rom to get ota to apply with settings app. But now I am trying to root again but after installing TWRP data is encrypted again. So looks like I will have to wipe data before re-rooting.
Hello,
today i wanted to update my *rooted* WAS-LX1 to B182, so i downloaded the update.zip and tried to flash it with FlashFire.
Then my phone booted in Error Mode. So i tried to boot in Fastboot mode, and it worked. So i flashed TWRP and now i want to install Stock firmware again, but i don't know which file i should flash. I've got 3 files called update.zip, update_data_full_public.zip and update_full_WASL21A_hw_eu.zip.
I hope you can help me.

To update my rooted phone to B182 I had to download the full package (2.3gb, including update.zip and update_full_WASL21A_hw_eu.zip). I was not successfull in updating via TWRP. I updated via the official system menu so I don't know how exactly it was applied. According to other guides (http://www.stechguide.com/tag/was-lx1c432b182/ for example) it should be update.zip first and update_full_WASL21A_hw_eu.zip second, without a reboot. Let us know how it worked out...

I only tried flashing the update via sideload and recovery and it didn't work (http://rootmygalaxy.net/flash-ota-firmware-updates-using-adb-fastboot-commands/). Maybe you are lucky. Problem is, I'm quite new to this stuff, hopefully someone else can help out.
Can someone please provide us with a link for the stock recovery?

Same this side. I can see there is an update from the notifications. When I am clicking it.. its not opening.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
When you install twrp, forget about updates. You need to flash full stock image using miflash application on Windows. I had the same problem, flashed stock images using miflash and update worked! I did not even lose my phone data.
Edit: Just boot into twrp to flash magisk. Don't flash twrp or system update will fill after downloading.
I was in the same situation (even if i've never flashed twrp).
Solved by flashing 17.10.30 Rom (after that I got the update)
Cheers.

Just the boot image ? Where do I get the extracted boot image ?
If you have done multiple tweaks, I suppose that those were done to system directly. In such case you'll need to flash system partition as well. Both are included in full ROM, just extract them from archive http://en.miui.com/download-333.html.

give it a try.
If not getting updates (like: Your phone is already update) try to clean Google Service Framework app data from Settings - App - 3 dots on corner - Show system apps
If your device is rooted, then make clean installation of os. There will be ota update.
I am stock not rooted nor unlocked. Ad still stuck no more updates for me

After the update, i flashed the patched boot.img using fastboot command. Assuming no modules are conflicting you should have a rooted device. The one module that created a problem for me was OOS NATIVE CALL RECORDING. Disabling it solved any issue.

How did u root on 11.0.8.8?
Do I have to repeat the process of downloading stock ROM, using payload dumper to get boot.img, patching it on magisk and flashing on fastboot?

What if i just uninstall magisk(unroot), download and install the update, download only the boot.img then patch and get root?
I am trying to avoid downloading whole stock rom because of the boot.img when i can just download it alone.

We only need the boot.img(correct one) to proceed with root no need to download the entire stock rom.
Where are you guys getting 11.0.8.8IN11AA? Full zip?
Nothing on Oxygen updater for me yet.
Hey guys, so I've installed the new OTA, then went to magisk, installed magisk to inactive slot, rebooted and now the only thing happening is boot logo spinning....
what to expect? ofc, i didn't do a backup beforehand...

Things like this makes me so cautious and ask so many questions. Hope you didnt soft brick your device?
Okay it worked out somehow, i was looking for a stock boot.img, and was gonna flash that to try and save it, but had trouble with my pc recognizing my oneplus in fastboot mode, so i pressed both vol up/down and power at the same time to while being connected with usb cable, to try and get into fastboot, then screen went black but my PC got some pop ups for recognizing a device with unavailable drivers, then i just press vol up and power after a minute of it being black, phone rebooted and it loaded past the booting animation into android... weird stuff worked out, even after a dozen reboots with hardware keys, even letting it spin the animation for an hour...
I'm never updating again ahahhah
edit: if you do update, make sure you disable all your magisk/xposed addons and some native os call recording module... thats what i learned while googling yesterday, and its something i did not do, that could of have possibly contributed to my headaches
What i ended up doing that worked was;
. Flash stock 11.0.7.7 boot.img to slot A & B to unroot the phone.
. Reboot and install the ota update. I had no magisk modules to uninstall.
. After updating i downloaded the stock boot.img for 11.0.8.8 then patched and flashed to get rooted again.
Its a longer process but quite safer for me.
It's the same on each firmware, providing you have the full update available to you.
Use oxygen updater and grab the full update, download and install but don't Reboot.
Open Magisk send install after OTA.
Then reboot.
If you're unable to grab the full update then probably best to update then boot lineage recovery and sideload Magisk.zip using lineage recovery, then flash and you're done.
Could someone post boot img I can't find this 11.8.8 to download.

Same here please, cant find the 11.0.8.8.IN11AA anywhere.
If 8.8AA is in oxygen updater (full update)
Then make your own, using someone else's comes with inherent issues and risks.
It's good practice to make your own.
