[Q] S4 Emergency calls only problem

Hi guys
An S4 that I got recently from a friend keeps giving me the "Emergency calls only" problem.
I've tried factory resetting the device, re-installing stock, manually selecting the carrier in network settings, and really just about anything I could find online about the problem.
Nothing seems to fix the issue.
The phone is running on XXUGNH2 at the moment.
I know it's not the SIM card because I've tried cards for two carriers on the phone, and they both work fine when inserted into my Note 4.
I would really appreciate any help whatsoever.
Thanks.

Samsung pay and pnc not working help

Has anyone ever got the Samsung pay app to work with a PNC card. Every time I try it I always get unable to authorize or please use another another card.
I have not been able to get the app to work anywhere.
I also had the same issue with my galaxy s6 edge +
I have no clue what I'm doing wrong.
No idea what you're doing because mine was added without issue. Try clearing data on Samsung Pay app and try again
Same no issues here
Is yours a bank card without a visa/mastercard logo, or is it a debit/credit card with a logo? A regular bank card will not work.

ZUK Z1 not working with AT&T or 3 UK

bought a replacement for my beloved ZUK Z1 because i had the infamous battery permenantly at 50% problem and the new one wont recognize any sim cards properly, i either get "error while searching for networks" or if it manages to find AT&T (it has a little sim card logo next to it when it does) it always says "cant connect to this network at the moment try again later" i get similar if not less fruitful results with my 3 sim card, it was sold as unlocked and it was unopened new when it arrived but i just cant get it to work
also the APN settings are all correct, ive done a factory restore twice, board tested it and re inserted the sim cards many times

Did you use any other ROMs? Try it since many ROMs have network problem. Try using ZUi.

Canadian Note 4 not recognizing any SIM card

Note 4 not recognizing any SIM card
Wondering if any of you experts out there can help me out.
I have the Canadian version (SM-N910W8) of the Note 4 (pretty much same as the T-Mobile version) which works fine except this one issue which is puzzling me. The phone will not recognize any SIM card (have tried many) but has no issues with SD cards or connecting to WiFi. I have gone so far as to replace the SD and Sim Card ribbon & antenna cables with new ones, tried official Samsung TouchWiz & custom ROMs but the issue persists.
There are many posts on the Internet about Samsung phones which stop recognizing SIM cards and asking users to re-insert it or reboot the phone but mine simply refuses to recognize any and all SIM cards. Have tried adding a piece of paper, tape, etc... on top of the SIM to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Kogan bought phone csc issue samsung pay transport card option

I am an Australian citizen and bought a dual sim S8 (SM-G950FD) a few years ago on Kogan. Apparently they import these phones but I have had no trouble using it with a kogan (vodaphone) sim card. Only problem is that although Samsung Pay works fine, I do not get the transport card option that would allow me to tap my smart watch on the Opal Card reader without activating my watch. Works on Opal Readers but Need to activate Samsung Pay first which is more painful than using a regular opal card. I checked the CSC on my phone and its XME so I think the phone thinks its a Malaysian region phone so I do not get the transport card option which is for Australia only.
Not sure what my options are. I think it is possible to flash a new CSC to my phone.
Problem is that my USB connector has stopped working for data - still works for charging for now although its slow.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
