It seems Oneplus are starting to spend more on advertisement. Maybe it was the money they made before they put the price of the phone down.
Adaway! My fav app. Couldn't browse the web without it.

THE ADS ARE SOOO SMALL!!! XD
I love it's especially on the xda app, its in the bottom left hand corner, and is barely noticable.
Someone should start a thread on good apps that work on the Xoom, or start it here, I personally would but I'm new to android, which is why I would like to know some good apps. I mostly operate off 3g connection, which is why I don't want to try the download and try and delete method.
3 gigs 35 dollar $-$ wtf.
Ill start with what I have downloaded that's not a tablet app and works fine.
-Xda (obviously)
-Astro file manager
-skype (I read somewhere that they were going to make a tablet specific version for a fee)
-Dr Webb for android
That's all really.
Two that I dl'd that didn't work were vevo and pocketcloud
Vevo didn't play videos at all but I haven't tried on wifi yet.
Pocketcloud worked like it should with massive lag even on wifi, might just be cause its a free app, I dont know, like I mentioned thus is my first android device. And I must say, it wins.
Anyway, please help me find great apps and ill return the favor.
One awesome one for tablets is PewPew

Lol, I hadn't noticed the ad until you mentioned it. Just loaded xda on my xoom.

yeah i love that. but im sure they will change it and have ads take up more space.
Pay for the premium XDA app. Support the community and it's only $0.99 . I paid for it and I love the XDA theme and being able to set the app up the way I want it.
My xda app crashes all the time. At first I thought it was my rooted evo, but it does the same thing at the same place on the xoom. Hard to pay for something that keeps fc'ing.

I posted a thread about that too but nothing has changed since... Sad to see that our support is not appreciated!

If a tablet version is made, I will definitely buy the app. There are a lot of features I'd like to take advantage off that's not in the free app. But the free app does freeze a lot, right now I'm not even able to get into it because it's been stuck at the XDA loading screen. I can't seem to get it past that.
And I know they're going to make tablet apps with Huge ads, thats why phone apps are better
Hopefully they do make a tablet app for XDA tho, I'll even pay $2 if it has most the features of the site.

When they take out the unneeded permissions (GPS, phone identity) I will. Till then I use the web browser.
Go to manage applications in settings and reset the cache for the XDA App and it should fix the problem.

The Amazon App store has Printer Share Premium at their "free app of the day." It's a newer version than the APK from the Thrive that's in the app section of the forum and it has a much larger interface.
I snagged that one as well. I've not yet had a need to print directly from an Android device but might as well save that app in case I do. It does require additional desktop software to work if you don't have a wifi enabled printer, though.
I bought the Premium app early on; very useful. Free would make it that much better. I'm going to have to start watching the Amazon market.

I just opened up my browser today and I'm getting pop up ads on the bottom left corner now on almost all websites. I haven't installed anything new for at least a week. Anyone else have issues like this?
nope, but I use ad free
I am convinced that it has to be something to do with software installed because the size of the pop up is the same on all web pages. It is ads for dating web sites, the built in pop up blocked doesn't seem to block it aned I'm not sure that Norton is designed to, but it isn't blocking either. I guess I will have to uninstall some apps to see if there is one causing the pop ups.
It's abnormal to have ads in browser, but show in parameters if if you have no popup check.

You are correct if 4chan qualifies xD haha well anyways so I get home and now all the pop ups are gone. Is it possible since I travel and I was in a hotel at the time that the wifi they provide was also hitching along pop up ads some how?
yeah 4chan will **** **** up. use the chanscan app.
Yes the free wifi can come with pop ups.

Pretty simple poll here, just want to know if most people use the XDA app more often or if they're more often using the web to access XDA.
Some people put half their message in the subject, and last time I checked, those don't show up in the app. Maybe some confusion could be avoided if we stopped using message subjects altogether, no?
I would say I'm about 99% web (visit often while 'working'). And for the record, I think I left this open for 30 days.

When I 'feel' I have something important to share, I feel as if I need to spew it all from my laptop.. lol also when I have attachments to share, (without using db) but since db can be used, mostly app for me.
I tried the app, but it really sucks. In fact, I don't know why I still have it installed.
EDIT: Just uninstalled it and purged the backups of it. Good riddance!
When I am home and have the laptop open I will use the browser. When I am out I use the XDA app. I am probably on it more on the phone than the computer.
99% app. Even with its drawbacks just dang convenient.
The app got the thanks button...now if it gets multi quote

If you mean xda only, then I would say the last 5 months its been xda 100% of the time for me. But if you mean things like g+, I went the web way, just because I use gmail app to get G+ notifications, banking, ebay, paypal, things like that I use the websites from my phone, not the apps.

Another user and I'm sure many others too, have mentioned downloading the tapatalk app from Samsung apps supposedly the same thing as the xda paid app version.
I would say 75% app all of the time. I use tapatalk, there's other forums I can follow also.
The app is so easy to scan for updates on my phone.
95% web
4% app
1% osmosis

One for the UK mainly...
Anyone notice the current BBC promo for their BBC Sport app? It's the one with the woman walking down the street looking at the new app with a load of people following behind her trying to read the screen. That's definitely a Note she's holding, obviously so everyone can see the screen. Presumably the Note 2 was just that bit too distinctive to use.
I find this somewhat ironic given the BBC's attitude to Android and that the Sport app was available for iOS several weeks before the Android version came out. Not to mention we're still waiting for local caching for iPlayer...
Anyway, always nice to see one's choice of tech vindicated by a large, faceless organisation

I wouldn't bother - offers nothing the mobile version of the website doesn't already give you.
