The sources have been developed in visual c++ 6. I have just edited some of it to make use of the soft buttons on my htc-universal as mouse button modifiers (at least I hope that's what I did!!)
I'm asking for someone to compile it for me as I can't afford to buy the dev tools (hopefully in some distant future, I'll be able to have linux on the phone and develop for free.)
I do not know whether the code can be compiled in visual studio 2005... maybe it would gain performance improvements if it could.
Many thanks in advance
Actually... forget that
...Seems I was directed to old sources... time to start again

Any way here's a link to download eVC++, from MS. It's completely free, plus it looks and feels just like VC 6. With the proper SDK (also free, look for link on that page) you can compile programs for Pocket PC WM2003 and up devices.

Good luck
Thanks
That's fantastic. Thank you very much for pointing me to a free compiler... I didn't know one existed

You can also use gcc.

Re: Thanks
And you can always use eDonkey to download a full VS2005 and not spend any money. Noone would care that you are using a stolen compiler until you'll start selling your programs. Or just ask any of your ex-USSR or chinese friends (if you have them) to share it with you
For example I never bought any computer program at all.

does this help speed up getting andoid on our nice lil phones? discuss
its always been open source bud (or atleast planned).... that was what was the big deal with it
Yes, but I believe the buzz is that the actual code is available for us to edit, today. And yes, this means better drivers for getting our devices to work with android.

the site is new yes but android was always open source.... google just finally released the code for it... the development kit has always been out there and android and the open handset alliance has known its been ported (or atleast mostly) to some phones already.... So to make myself more clearly it has always been open source, but with the release of the code it will be easier on developers

that guy phrased it right
Yay... the source to an open source os... big news
Hi, I search some developer to create a unofficial whatsapp client for bada.
An unofficial client it's yet created by Taglal for Meego and BlackBerry 10.
The source code is available on GitHub
https://github.com/tgalal
How many developers are available?
Best regards
No developer available?

I think it would be better to wait for the developers to fix the audio problem on Android, and then it will be possible to use only this operating system.
Anyway, I can try to help occasionally if needed.

I tried to work on it last year, but I got stuck pretty early in the process. And therefore I have no documentation or something useful.
To convert the unofficial version from Nokia N9 (Wazzup) its necessary to know three main things:
C++ (for Bada and N9), Python and QML (only for N9).
So in my opinion, if developers are available, then it's better try to help in the development of Android,
which will provide a "ultimate" solution (and that is already in advanced development processes) than a solution for a specific application.

hello guys! finally a bit of time to devote to the project:
1 - this is the library that will be used to interface with the server whatsapp (python) https://github.com/tgalal/yowsup
2 - I found something to go with bada (C + +) and python together , now I will study the situation better but I think there may be useful https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-bada-push
3 - The guide for push notifications on bada 2.0 http://developer.bada.com/article/push-messaging-guide
for now only this ... Now I will start working on the project, any ideas and help are welcome, once I get something of a minimal working I will upload everything on github.
Best Regards

Great, Thanks!
You can download the source code of the Wazzapp (C++ for Nokia n9), and see how it connects with a library of Python.
Actually, I downloaded Qt Creator, but I could not run the code.

ARP spoofing is relatively basic code; you could probably take the socket code from any open-source project that uses it and, with pretty minimal effort, port it to WinSock. This is supposed to be a developer forum, after all.

I was thinking about something with a gui . ?
So, use VS and whip up a quick GUI around it... I mean, I see no point to doing that (CLI is just fine) but if you want to, it's not like Visual Studio is hard to use.

Hello all,
During my studies I am designing a project involving a LEGO Mindstorms "Robot" and an accompanying Android app. I would like to send commands to the Mindstorms unit using Bluetooth. I know this is possible as while trialing some ideas in the MIT App Inventor I discovered Mindstorms command blocks.
I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place. I did do some searching around Google for a way to do this, yet I found nothing as of yet. I do not need a full script, just a link to the API/API Commands.
Many Thanks,
-James
You could have a look at the Catroid project. It's an open-source Scratch port for Android which allows you to enable NXT support in the settings.
Maybe you can find some useful information in its code.
Github: https://github.com/catrobat/catroid
Especially this part of the repo might be interesting: https://github.com/Catrobat/Catroid/tree/master/catroid/src/org/catrobat/catroid/legonxt
