5.1 and Amazon - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I recently upgraded to 5.1 and no longer can log into Amazon. Does anyone else have this issue? So far, I tried reinstalling Amazon from play store as well as from Amazon directly, same results. As soon as I try to login, the app freezes.
I'm trying to see of this is a known issue with 5.1 or just my ROM.
Thanks

The Amazon Store App? I have not had issue with any of them. Have you tried logging into any of the others (Prime Music, Cloud, Instant Video) to see if you have the same issue?

ICS and Amazon market

I have put AOKP_p4wifi_milestone-4 on my 10.1 Galaxy Tab and everything is working except for the camera as expected. As part of getting my apps back i need the Amazon market app but after I install it I cannot log in to the market. I verified that the id and password is correct and I was wondering if this is a known problem?
I keep getting an error saying 'There was a temporary error signing you in. Please try again in a few moments'. Has anyone else seen this?
never seen that. I've been on ICS for over 2 weeks and use amazon store daily.
I just did a device reset and reinstalled the Amazon app market and it is still no go. What version of the app store are you using? The one I just got from Amazon is 2.2.0.
did you go to settings applications and clear data

Google play services Crashing Repeatedly

Has anyone experienced Google play services stopping unexpectedly and crashing repeatedly since Google pushed the new update for it on 01/16/2014? My Google play services keeps crashing and from what I read in the reviews on the Play Store for the "app," it seems to be doing the same thing for a lot of other users. I have already tried wiping cache and even factory resetting my phone, but it does not fix the problem. Uninstalling updates for the app on the phone immediately generates a message from Hangouts, stating that the newest version is required. Anyone care to comment or let me know of a workaround for this? I am wondering if Google will release a fixed update soon again or if maybe waiting until KitKat will make it more compatible? Thanks!

Try clearing data for the app itself, in the "App info" area.
FYI the new version 4.2.42 of Google Play Services fixed all crashing issues. The issues were only with v4.1.

Does anyone experience constant crashes with Play Services 6.1.74..6.1.83? Do they happen without Google+ installed on the device?

How to unlock bootloader on 183.46.15?

Install pending on everything

I can get a single app to install from the Play Store. Everything I pick says install pending for hours then the app finally disappears. Everything already installed on it works fine. I can stream HD without a problem, so it's not a connection issue. I even updated it to 5.1.1, and still no change. Anyone else seen this?
Bump. Am I really the only person with this problem??

It happened to me with Android 6. My fix for this issue. Cancel all app you're trying to install. Restart Nexus player.
Then run the Play Store. Navigate to "Updates". If you got apps that needs update, update them first. Then install your desired apps.
Seems like it got stuck somehow when trying to update apps.

Google Phone App

I have the Amazon version(XT1607) running 6.0.1. I can't find it in the Play Store, and when I try sideloading an apk (extracted from another phone or downloaded from some site online) I get "App not installed".
Any ideas?

There are a few threads on xda that have one that works for this phone.

The second link is the one i use on my moto z and the moto g4 play but I did try the first one and it works. it's newer and gives you the rounded phone icon.
The video explains it quite well i used it when I was stumped.

That first link did it. Thanks!
I would seriously recommend against it. Numerous users (myself included) have experienced the Bluetooth glitch which crashes the phone AND your BT device upon receiving a call.

Play Store 404 on AL00 Oreo

Is anyone else getting 404 error recently on Play Store on Chinese Devices (AL00C00 here) and has found a solution? I know at east one other person who has the same issue and there is a thread here of more people having similar issues, some non-Huawei but apparently all on Chinese devices: https://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-10/867051-error-404-downloading-play-store.html
Update: The issue is getting some publicity now: https://www.techmesto.com/google-play-store-download-error-404/
Same issue
I have tried everything since last Friday. Last night, I reset my phone... Unfortunately--I shall have a lot to copy to and install on my phone. Just now, I saw your post and the links. Google support did their best to help me, to no avail. I contacted Huawei, but they haven't responded yet.
Thank you for posting this, just while I was wondering desperately, What next?
Hope we are given a solution very soon.
Fixed
Ok, it works for me now after installing manually the latest Play Store app from apkmirror (8.8.12). It may be coincidental with a fix on Google Server side because even with that it took me a few attempts.
Not fixed....

I already had this up-to-date version. Yes, as you say it works randomly, showing a slight improvement...
same problem
i'm getting the same 404 errors from installing/updating some apps.
Plus a error message "server response error" pops up on the bottom from time to time, not sure what app/service is causing it.
And both of my Google calendars won't sync.
It appears to be fixed completely now.
