This will most likely be my last thread here on XDA-Developers but there is one thing I had to mention.
Sony has started a while ago a Walkman Beta Testgroup. I haven't seen any thread about it so here is the link:

The most exciting news:
There is a Walkman version 9.x.x.x.xbeta on it's way and via that link you can become a tester aswell!

It's called "Music" now, no more "Walkman" brand but OK..Sony is trying everything to improve quality of their software..
Z3 Neo (or Z4 Neo, we still don't know, we'll see) should be out till the end of this year..
And Z5, finally at the 09/2016 with S810 and all the latest goodies other manufacturers are already have in their flagships.
If you ask me - that's late..way tooo late and that could end another brand (read Sony mobile), not only Walkman but....we will see...
Join Google+ beta testing group and try new app...it's OK..

Yeah, I know about that. But since it's a Sony app I would expect them to implement a simple "select music folders" option within the app. I don't want to have to put .nomedia files in several folders. Other players have that option, why can't Sony add it to this excellent player?
(and yes, I will stop complaining and use another player until Sony fixes this).

That's not exactly what I am after. I want an option that allows me to select the folders that can will be indexed in the music app, that's all

i loved the walkman icon more i miss the old full player ... it was more stylish
where sony is headed for?sony's media apps used to be the best anyone saw them in my phone asked me to send the apks for them but it wouldn't work those phones

I know what you mean. The .nomedia is a workaround, I too would like this functionality.

Nope, not without modding, the beta overwrites the release.

It's beta, all that stuff is coming. I just worked four ten hour days. This is just to test everything. More is coming this week. I'm off the next three days!
Edit: bluetooth icon was already done. Look at the fm radio screenshot.

Whats need:
1) Android 4.0.1 or High, On 2.3 no work don't try!
2) Remove some old libs and apps
-- 1. /system/lib/soundfx/ and remove libcyanogen-dsp.so (If you have here)
-- 2. /system/lib/soundfx/ and remove libbundlewrapper.so (If you have here)
-- 3. /system/app/ and remove DSPManager.apk (If you have here)
-- 4. /system/app/ and remove MusicFX.apk (If you have here)
3) Unpack all files from srsfiles_for_port_on_other_phone.zip to /system/. Or just flash zip pack. srsaudiofx.zip

Tested on CM9 By hephep, works better than beats audio !
To activate it, go music , play a song , menu > Sound Effects
Then you should see a 'SRS Panel' at the title there, activate it.

Because u don't headphone, plug in headphone and u have enable srs wow and true bass

The equalizer works brilliantly, but TrueBASS causes massive distortion, probably because I wasn't able to find the AudioHardware.cpp file to add the extra lines of code to. Help please?

there seems some improvement in camera....................at present i can try some indoor shots only....took some shots before and after update,there seems to be a slight improvement with details(not great but acceptable) after the update which i can see while zooming the pics...........will soon provide the images link

Yes, it is legitimate. I just flashed it successfully, everything is working perfectly. The firmware in question seems to be singaporean.

None of the smart functions working for me...!! everything is present under settings... Bt,if i enable functions like "motion" or "smart display control"... Nothing happens... Calls can't be received or rejected... Display goes off... Are they working for u...??

For me also walkman giving fc and movies is working. Tested on CM11.
Cant even install the applications.. Stock non rooted whatsoever

they are different
btw my laptop hard disk spoiled few days ago and I loose everything :crying:
no time to take it for repair... so I can't decompile the apk to know the API level
currently using my dad laptop which cannot install any Android stuff...
Hi, for me the program crashes when exporting the movie ... the rest works (SP XPERIA C5303 UB rom: beanstalk 4.4.4)
I installed this app but doesn't work because I have only one page which contains birds. And old Movie Creator app has bigger version number than new one.So I can't use this app.
Doesn't work on JB 4.1.2
You can cross that off ur list

you're right .. "movie studio" is in my rom .. and this apk shows me birds ..

It is not intended for the user to manually create movies out of your photos and videos using this app. Instead, it will monitor the photos and videos that you take, and automatically create the movies and notify you. Once the app has created the movie for you, you will then have the option to edit and export it.
