On which base did you build your ROM?
xxkqe 2.3.6
this should be in the General section
And what did you change?
im used dsxda kitchen root busybox zipalign but its say it place a fake boot.img
Ok i know why it is not working
There is no boot.img in this ROM
okay what can i do?

Are you able to go in download mode? If so, you can flash through odin a new rom

Use the KQE boot.img to make the ROM work
And to make your phone work again you have to be able to get into download mode else your device is hardbricked
Put the file i have attached in the root of your archive (not in system or META-INF folder)
Then try reflashing the rom.
The boot.img i have attached is a stock kqe kernel with init.d support and bootanimation support.
Hope this helps !

Well then your device is bricked, you have to send it to repair if its hardbricked or use a jig if its softbricked

Okay...my phone doesnt do anything how to put a boot.img in the phone without jtag, service, jig...please help
Follow the following instruction very carefully. Note that step 7 and step 11 are very important.
1. Install Kies or USB drivers for your phone
2. You need ADB (SDK, see faq)
3. You need Odin 1.3
4. Open adb in a commandline shell (dos)
5. Start Odin
6. place Odin and adb windows so you can see both
7. typ in adb "adb reboot download" and press enter
8. take the battery out
9. connect phone to your pc
10. insert battery
11. typ in adb "adb reboot download" again, don't hit enter !
12. when the battery symbol appears, press power to start the phone
13. watch odi for the yellow symbol, when it appears press enter in adb
This method is used by service centers every where.
----------------------------------
What if it still doesn't give you the download mode:
Stay calm and carry your phone to a service center.
If you are in the guarantee period, make up a sob story about how your phone just won't start. When you are in the guarantee period they don't care what the sob story is, they would keep your cell and replace the motherboard anyways in 99% of the cases. If your download mode is not showing, your phone WILL be replaced.
If your phone is not in the guarantee period, I am afraid you will have to pay for it. Sorry for you if that's the case.
I am friends with a service center guy and I am leaving here whatever I had saved in the Android folder in my pc.
Good luck.
how to open adb?
Read the whole thread first in order to learn about issues faced by users and how to over come them.
The ADB tutorial here is an ALL YOU NEED guide.

i writed "adb reboot download" it say "error: device not found"
any idea?
Did your phone get listed in the "listed devices"?
If not then first install this driver.
Proceed from step 1 again being careful with every step.
And please read this thread thoroughly.
Do the above and come up with updates again.
Hie.. Guys..
you will find almost everything here regarding flashtool n unlocking bootloader..
-->Even Link to see manufacturing date using imei number
these are the basic steps to go through while using flash tool..
correct me if any where required..
Warning these can brick you're phone..
REQUIREMENT
-->P.C companion should be installed on your computer for required phone drivers. ( i.e semc drivers for usb connection)
-->enable debugging in settings-application-development.
-->download flash tool
http://androxyde.github.com/
-->install flashtool
-->install drivers from C:\Flashtool\drivers (also gordane gate[ggsetup] that are also drivers required)[after installation it would be good to reboot p.c once]
--> on first connection flash tool might ask to select you're device from a list in dialouge box that will appear, just select our x8 E15i(even for W8)
Let us start with ROOTING
1)Connect your x8/w8 to p.c and open flash tool..{donot turn on usb connection let it be in charging mod}
2)now click on the root tab in flash tool as shown in the image attached..
3)wait untill the process is over.. during these the phone will reboot and will get the dialouge box asking for connecting phone or charging(the one that appears when we connect USB)
4)don't do anything just wait for phone to reboot and complete the process.. after reboot the process will go on so wait for the line "ROOT ACCESS ALLOWED" to appear in flash tool..
5)then you're phone is rooted now you can unpluge.. :good:
Now lets go for INSTALLING RECOVERY
1)open flashtool and connect you're phone.. {donot turn on usb connection let it be in charging mod}
2)Now click the recovery tab and leave the rest to flash tool
3)you will see "Recovery successfully installed" and you're done
APK INSTALLER
1)for these you will have to first put apk files of the apps you want to install in
C:\Flashtool\custom\apps
2)NOw again connect phone same as we did and open flash tool..
3)click APK installer tab and wait for the process to be over "APK Installation finished"..
THESE ONE IS TO FLASH KERNELS AND RESCUE YOU'RE BRICKED PHONE BY FLASHING STOCK ROM ALSO IN CASE OF BRICK
1)download ".ftf" file, (that can be kernel or stock rom) and place it(.ftf file) to the C:\Flashtool\firmwares director (to flash custom kernel you require unlocked bootloader)
Stock rom
2)now launch the flashtool and connect usb to computer. (do not connect usb to your phone)
3)click "flash" tab then select flashmode.
4)switch of your x8.
5)select the ".ftf" file to be flashed to your device
6)When the instruction pops up, press and hold "back" button on your X8 and plug the cable into it. Keep holding untill you see that flashing of files has begun(LED GREEN APPEARS) , then you may release it. (plug only when the instruction's pop up)
7)when it's done unplug and reboot.
If you get the downloded file as zip instead of .ftf just rename it to .ftf..
That's all you are done..
correct me if anywere required..
Here's the another use of FLASH TOOL.
its for unlocking bootloader..
WARNING- THESE CAN HARD BRICK YOUR PHONE I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT
Try unlocking you're bootloader only if you don't have manufacturing date 11W29+
To check you're manufacturing date look at you're phone's back after removing the battery..
Or if you have scratched it of or have got another hardware as you got hardbrick once have a look here..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1700465
You must have flashtool installed with required drivers stated above..
First you must check you're sim certifacte using S1tool
http://www.mediafire.com/?iwnjno9hirpgcm1
1)switch off your phone
2)open s1tool.exe after unzip
3)Select IDENTIFY and then click on "DO JOB"
4)now as the instructions appear connect your phone holding back button untill the process starts(and green LED).
4)now after the process is done look out for " XXXX SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE"
If you get it then you can go ahead.. if you get "NOT RECOGNIZED SIM LOCK CERTIFICATE" then I would recomend not to unlock bootloader..
NOW
1)open flashtool and connect your phone(phone should be on)
2)your phone will be recognized.
3)if your phone isn't recognized then a window will pop up asking you to select the device you have(i.e you have connected)
4)now select plugins/(insert you're device name) and click unlock/run
5)now a window will popup asking you to connect your phone in flash mode..
i)unplug usb from your device(donot unplug usb from p.c)
ii)switch off your phone and now again connect usb while pressing and holding on "back" button (of your cell) untill the green LED appear and the popup message is gone..
6)now wait untill the process is done and flash tool will ask u to disconnect your device..
7)now after disconecting your device, turn it on and connect the usb cable again, let flashtool push the required files in to your phone. when it is done flash tool will have a message "succefully unlocked" and your device will reboot.
u can use S1tool to verify it..
CHECK--- "9/9/2011 21:45:46 RUNNING S1_EROM VER "r8A029""
If you get the "r" in place of "#" congrats..
If "#" is replaced by "R" then its not unlocked..
If you don't have network signal on inserting sim after unlocking bootloader..
Relock you're bootloader using S1 tool after getting back to stock rom of our x8/w8 i.e 2.1 and unlock it again..
How to relock bootloder??!!
Here--->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436924
Donot forget to hit thanx if these helps you or you like it..
Good luck..
Thank's a lot--- To SpyderX from where i got these knowledge while unlocking my bootloader

i did exactly what u told me but same result
ok.. are you on a custom rom??
one last thing you can try switch off you're phone open flashtool, don't do anything in flashtool, now just connect you're phone in flashmod similar to s1tool by holding back key untill process starts or green LED.
You're phone wiil be identified or it will ask you to select you're phone from a list..
if these also doesn't work then you can try factory reset/delvikcache wipe and try it or even after these last one revert to stock rom 2.1 and then everything will be fine..

thanx in advance...
Asus zenfone 5 is one of the best devices from the Asus and recently it
also got the lollipop 5.0 update as promised by the company but this is
not the topic I am here to discuss the most easy way to root your asus
zenfone 5 and I already published a video guide on it on our YouTube
channel its HowTrends. So, those guys who are facing problems and tried
a lot of thing to root asus zenfone 5 and at the end they failed, we
recommend them to go through this simple, easy and one click root
procedure.
This rooting procedure is tested on the Asus Zenfone 5 (CG501) Android
Lollipop 5.0 and Android Kitkat 4.4.2 V2.21.40.44 and working fine.
However if something goes wrong by your mistake then please don't held
I m not responsible for it, so go ahead at your own risk ..
Pre-Required files:
1.Asus Zenfone 5 Lollipop Rootkit
Http://d-h.st/0S31
2. Asus Zenfone 5 Kitkat Rootkit
www.mediafire.com/download/mjg542cd5w8my7w/HowTrends-RootZenFone5KitKatv4-ww.zip
3. Intel adb drivers for PC
www.mediafire.com/download/hxjosurat8o6ubk/HowTrends-IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.1.5.exe
Step to Root Asus Zenfone 5 Lollipop/Kitkat:
Download intel drivers and install it to your PC and the download the
RootKit as per your android version lollipop or kitkat to your PC. (i.e for
kitkat download kitkat root kit and for lollipop download lollipop root kit)
Enable usb debugging on your asus zenfone 5. To enable it first go to
settings > about phone > system information > build number. Tap 7 times
on build number and you will get the devloper settings in your android
settings.
Go to developer settings and enable USB debugging and connect your
phone with PC via usb cable and you will get a popup on your phone
select there always allow.
Refer pic 1
This is all you need to do with your Asus Zenfone 5. Now go to the folder
where you downloaded the root kit.
Rootkit will be a zip file so first unzip it and then press and hold shift
button and right click on file folder and you will see "open command
window here" option. choose it.
Now in command box type "adb devices" (without comma) and hit enter
and if you get "demon started successfully" message in command then
close that command and go ahead to the next step. otherwise try again
all above steps.
Refer pic 2
This will be the final step, open file Root-zenfone.bat and wait till that
window close automatically, during this process your phone will be
rebooted 4-5 times but no need to worry it is the part of the rooting
process.
Once your device bootup and starts then search for SuperSu app in your
app list, if supersu app is there it means you have successfully rooted your Asus Zenfone 5 then you can unplug your device from PC and enjoy the root features to your Asus Zenfone 5.

Pic for understanding..
thnks for ur reply...

before this i download version 1.10.0 from its official website...
when i type adb devices in command prompt its showing my device in 'List Of Attached Devices' but after i run Root.bat and starts the process by pressing any key my phone shuts down and start the fastboot mode and it shows 'fastboot cmd waiting' and on pc it shows 'rooting be patient, waiting for device' at that time if i type 'adb devices' in command prompt then its showing 'List Of Attached Device' empty...

Worked for me, first time itself. Thanks for your effort. Now that my phone is rooted can you kindly refer me to sources where I can upgrade it to Lollipop. I've read many tutorials where they've shown how to upgrade to Lollipop from KitKat on a non-rooted device, but mine is rooted, so how do I upgrade?
Thanks, awaiting your reply.

First go to bootloader then recovery in recovery select reset option bootloop will b solved thank you
After installing the device drivers just update it in the device driver and repeat the process
I have a Verizon Note 3 running Android 5.0, non-rooted (never had luck getting it rooted). As far as I know, the bootloader is locked. Here is all the information that I thought might be pertinent:
Model #: SM-N900V
Baseband version: N900VVRUEOF1
Android version: 5.0
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: LRX21V.N900VVRUEOF1
Although I work in IT and am fairly comfortable with this sort of stuff, I have almost no experience when it comes to working with Android development / phones, etc.
The phone does not have a valid SIM card, nor do I have service for it. I use it just as a WiFi device and I don't care if it ever works for phone/SMS/MMS again. That being said, I would really like to be able to (a) root the phone and (b) load the Resurrection firmware that I've read about that would allow me to run Marshmallow.
Is there someone who is willing to take me "under their wing," so to speak, and take me through what I need to do, step by step, to make this happen. I've read several posts, but they all assume a prior level of knowledge that I just don't possess. I'm confident that I could do this if I have a clear list of instructions and and understanding of what steps I need to follow to do this. Thanks in advance to anyone who could give me a hand.
Same problem here. Would appreciate help
Alright,
*First thing you need to do is enable USB debugging:
How?
On your phone Navigate to Settings > About Phone > scroll to the bottom > tap Build number seven (7) times. You'll get a short pop-up in the lower area of your display saying that you're now a developer. Then Go back (to the settings menu) and now access the Developer options menu, check ‘USB debugging’ and click OK on the prompt.
------------------------------------
(DONT plug your phone to your PC yet)
Download USB Drivers and Install.
------------------------------------
*2nd thing to do is Rooting your phone:
Download THIS tool on PC > Run. then plug your phone to PC > Choose Version OF1 > Click Read phone info (Your phone will ask if the program can access your phone press YES on your phone)> Root. wait until its done. now you are Rooted.
------------------------------------
Here is the fun part (Unlocking your bootloader) All through the phone no PC required for this.
You need to use an SDCard for this and
Keep in mind this method ((WILL WIPE YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD)) So backup your MicroSD or use another one.
* Install Busybox on your phone (you can get it from the Playstore)
* Download Samsung Unlocker N3
1. Install SamsungUnlockerN3.apk
2. Grant SU access
3. Click On Install SamBootloader Unlocker
4. Grant SU access
5. Type Yes Hit enter wait for device to power off. Then pull the battery out > Battery back in then power on the phone.
6. Should be unlocked
Keep in mind this method ((WILL WIPE YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD))
Thats all. your N3 is rooted and bootloader unlocked

Try to do a factory reset in recovery mode. It will wipe all your apps and data and restore it to factory settings. The instructions you got from @Sczar are very good , so try again step by step if factor reset doesn't work to get you out of the boot loop.

OK, made it to rooted. It came back up the first time while connected to the computer. I shut down to swap sd cards to put in an older one that isnt used and when I start back up all I get is Process System isnt responding in a white box. If I do nothing, the white square asking to quit or wait will disappear, I get the top bar with 4G, bars, battery level, and time, but black screen. If I swipe the screen with my finger, the desktop (for lack of better word) flashes on, then goes all black. In about 3-5 minutes it will restart again. Before it restarts on its own, I can hold the power button and it will give me the power off, restart, etc menu and allow restart.
EDIT: Nevermind... If it warns Process System is not responding, wait for the notification bar to appear, use the power button to get the restart menu and choose restart. Then it starts normally and is Rooted! THANK YOU! I will work on the rest tomorrow!

It just started, I assume, as a result of running the root program. I downloaded program from the suggested link. I ran it which installed files on my pc and made a desktop shortcut. I double-clicked the shortcut, the program started, I connected the phone via usb, and selected the scan button in the program. It found the phone and I selected install root. I then had a progress bar start in the program and a window opened on the task showing odin 3.10. The phone indicated that odin had started and said it was downloading, however, progress stopped at 28 seconds. Did I do something wrong? I would really like to get this thing rooted so I have control over it.
Thanks immensely for your help.

Yes on both accounts. Because I had no intent to flash a new ROM and only wanted to root I did not have an SD card in the phone. Could this be affecting the process?

If you just want to root your phone you only need to run the root program on your pc. You DO NOT use odin. If I'm reading your post correctly you are saying the odin program is starting automatically? That should not happen. SD card should not matter if you just root.
Yes it is starting automatically. Any ideas why. Going to search registry on computer to see if it might be on there. Does Samsung Kies use Odin in any manner. I do have Kies on the computer. Grasping at straws I know. Thanks for the help you folks are great.

I have no idea why odin would start on its own. If you would like to, uninstall Odin so you can root your phone without any interference from Odin. Samsung Kies DOES NOT use Odin. Samsung Kies is its own separate program from Odin.
If all you want to do is root the phone follow Sczar post and run the root program again it should only take about 1 minute tops to root phone.
Tried one more time. Stopped in exactly the same place as multiple times before. As far as Odin goes; after downloading the root file and running it, it extracted a number of files and created a directory in my program files directory on my pc. One of the files extracted was Odin.exe. Also the program does not automatically detect my phone or ask me to select OF1. I have to select a scan button and it then populates the fields showing the build. I select install root and all goes good, like I have mentioned until 26 or 27 seconds of progress has occurred the the program stops. My phone shows Odin has started and says it is downloading not to turn off, but nothing ever writes to the phone. I have to get into the task manager on the pc to stop the processes dealing with the root program as it becomes totally unresponsive. I have to kill adb also. I am totally baffled and about ready to give up. Wish I had stayed with Motorola at least that phone I was able to root. I have been holding off the new software update for days but may just let it fly unless someone has any other ideas about why this thing stops. Thanks to those who have tried so far.

I'm starting to figure out what you are saying is going on (I think).
1. Forget about Odin you do not use it, at all for root.
2. If I'm right your "phone" is going into DOWNLOAD MODE automatically that is what it should do.That is not Odin running. That's how your phone programs itself.
Quick checks
1.Make sure you have latest drivers from Samsung installed.
2. check USB debugging is on.
3. Install Arabic Tool For rooting on PC.
http://www.mediafire.com/?pvm1reerboz2c25
4. Open Arabic tool,
5. plug phone into PC make sure you connect as MTP not installer mode.
6. Click on Version, select OF1 (make sure your firmware is running on OF1)
7. Click Read Phone Info. (Your phone info should fill in the blanks)
8. HIT ROOT.
Your phone should go into "Download Mode" not Odin (a little green dude should be on the screen) automatically. Let the program do its thing. Then it will reboot your phone automatically, and if everything goes correctly it should say your rooted!.
9. It should take about 1 or 2 minutes to complete.
10. If it doesn't work try it again. It took me 2 tries for it to work right.
Everytime I've tried rooting my SM N900V with this Yemen tool I get hard bricked. To fix that issue I just put phone in odin mode and flash the OF1 firmware and everything is back to normal but still no root. Any suggestions?

Try the Arabic tool I posted above ^^^. I rooted my phone 3 times with no problems. I've not used the Yemen root method.
I made it to root, but the bootloader is not replacing so I am evidently missing an obvious step.
Samsung Note 3 SM-N900V 0F1 firmware
1. Install SamsungUnlockerN3.apk
2. Grant SU access (How do I do this? It is not asking anything)
3. Click On Install SamBootloader Unlocker
4. Grant SU access (Again, how do I do this? It is not asking anything)
5. Type Yes Hit enter wait for device to power off. Then pull the battery out > Battery back in then power on the phone.
6. Should be unlocked
It says it works, it shuts down and I remove the battery, and I reboot. However, as soon as I install TWRP and allow it to reboot I get the unauthorized software message from Verizon, use Kies to save, use Odin to reflash 0F1, root again, and now what? Why is the actual bootloader not being installed? How do I enable superuser?
