I have a Galaxy Note 3. On the occasions when I receive pictures via text messages, I receive them in a new thread. At the top, instead of reading just the person I'm texting with, it'll read "Me, John" (example), as if it's a group message. So I'll have my original thread, and then a separate text thread for pictures. Annoyed.
Anyone know how to correct this problem?

Hey everyone.
I've had my X1i for a few months now and I'm having trouble with my text messaging. When I recieve an incoming text message it displays the wrong time for some reason and when I change the order of the text messages to see the received texts first it doesn't work. When I send a text to myself it displays the correct information but it doesn't when others send me texts. Can anyone help me?

So I have an interesting problem.
When I get email texts I get duplicates. Looking at the Verizon bill details the message is only sent once.
So when someone sends me a text to me via [email protected] I get a duplicate. All other text messages are fine.
This is happening on both the default message application an also Handcent.
Hi, I've noticed a weird issue with Go SMS and threaded group messaging. I was wondering if you guys had this issue and if there is a fix for it? I like Go SMS but my issue is when i get a threaded group message ill get two messages. One will be from the actual contact that sent it. After a few seconds it will disappear then follow up get included into the thread that its supposed to. After it gets included to its proper place it still has that same contacts old texts messages pushed to the top of the conversation list. So it acts like i got a new text (or a recent text) from that person. I click on the conversation is from a long time ago.

Same here, I ended up switching to textra because of this.
You would think find much help here do to GO sms having their threads closed due to security concerns they refuse to clear up

When i receive a picture from someone it doesn't show up in their message thread (using default messaging app). Instead it shows up in a separate thread as, i think, a group message that shows my number and the senders number. Any replies, even text, send as mms.
Any way to have this show in the same thread and remedy this situation?

Hope someone can help me. I've recently moved on android from iPhone and use whatsapp alot and whenever I get a message, either in lockscreen or status bar, it only shows 1 message received from 1 chat, on iPhone I could see the name of person and the message they sent. Is it possible on do this on Android and how please.
Not sure it's what you ask for but I use the whatsapp widget. You see all messages from all users without sending a read receipt.
In notification I can pull down to see the messages.
