Friends my doubts is the question of kitkat rom very good paranoid, plus the version of my lg g2 is the Brazilian D805, only that it is identical to the model LG G2 D802, has nothing to questinonar unless the band 4g more that's the least of the matter is that this rom installed on my lg d805 g2, antuntu my ta giving measly 22,000 points, and saw the end of the post with a guy posting 35222 points, one can say why? will I have to modify my original kernel? and install a better one?
Hi,
I have a sprint LG G2 and would like to try ASOP version of Android. I downloaded two versions and two kernals. I couldn't get them to boot correctly. Any recommendations which ones work with sprint LG G2? I am running ZVA as well
hey guys does it matter getting other versions of this device ?! D800,LS/VS980 or others ?!
i don't know much about bootloaders here and if they are locked like samsung !!
will i have any problems with installing custom roms or kernels ?!
thank you in advance
have a good day
There is no difference in CPU, RAM, camera module, display and GPU but there are differences in network support, wi-fi chip attributes etc. Some models do not have FM Radio chip. I think that Verison model also looks different (buttons and camera) and there is korean model that has a removable back and SD card slot with terrestrial TV antenna.
Now, there are unified ROMs and kernels that are universal and support all variants (models) but each variant has variant specific ROMs and kernels. Bigger and more popular ROMs are for most of variants, like CM 12.1 based ROMs and AOSP ROMs (Ressurection remix, Bliss Pop) and there are popullar Cloudy ROMs that also work on most variants as well as MIUI ROM. So there is no worries that you wont ger X rom with Y variant but if you are really picky there are some variant exclusive ROMs that cant be installed on some other variants.
Your best bet would be a D802. It is the international version and you shouldn't have any problems.
Thank you @5ageman and @Orcam
well guys it's at&t D800 model i wasn't exactly sure before asking here
strange thing i heared that D800 has noise cancellation near camera as a difference from D802 model which sadness me for the back covers when trying to get one, idk why they made that stupid difference !!
i got me a d800 no big deal for me the roms i want are there for my device..just make sure the cover has the hole for att phone..
Hey guys,
As we all know nearly many g3 variants are officially receiving the android 6.0 marshmallow updates.
so i wanted to ask the g2 community that, are there any updates or any info regarding porting the recent g3 official marshmallow update to the g2 like cloudyfa did in the past with the official lollipop release(cloudyrom 3.3)??
Personally I am not a big fan of aosp roms and i am also really looking forward to having something official from the company.
up till now I am unable to find any info regarding the marshmallow port from g3 to g2. I have been visiting cloudyfa's twitter account and googling other sources and cant find any updates.
kindly help me on this people.
Lg is busy for their big lg g5 release on 21st feb and has a huge competition with the s7. and romors are they are going to overhaul the lg's skin or interface. personally if the lg's official's could hear my voice i would like to have an official lg g2 marshmallow update from the company with the overhauled interface.. Longshot but not impossible.
Porting is very unlikely because when cloudy ported g3 to g2 both handsets where on KitKat/Lollipop so the corresponding drivers/bootloaders/kernel are on par but in MM case we don't have the G2 MM blobs to start with
a extreme long shot. it is possible, currently not (because of the LG G5).
What I'm saying is, if it will happen, it wont happen until April/May

Click to collapse
correct me if am wrong but, what you mean is we must be on MMto be able to port. right
so as far as i know G2 needs MM to port G3 uix.
I'm not a developer myself but in my knowledge the answer is "yes" because that was the case for cloudy g3 rom ports . it seems that to port LG rom must be on the same level of framework version .
Hi, I'm a bit new around here and I'd have a few quick questions.
I want to see what a few custom ROMs have to offer and I have a few spare phones to play around with.
LG G2 mini
LG G2
LG G3
Which of these should I mess with? The mini seems the most expendable and is in factory fresh condition while the other two are all set up and in use. Also I know about roughly only cryanogenmod, any other stuff I should look into?
Hi
For the G2 i know these ROMs that are most popular:
Resurrection Remix ROM - here (6.0.1) or here (5.1.1)
Cloudy G2 3.3 - here (5.0.2) > STOCK based rom (lollipop)
BlissRom 6.4 -here (6.0.1)>Cm13 based
Dirty Unicorns - here (6.0.1)
All are trying to make your phone more customizable ,faster and stable ...try them and see which one do you prefer.
Ps.. sory for my bad english
Take the G2 to play with. Here are all ROMs.
