Hello,
I have N910CQ.
Yesterday I flashed Poland version Lollipop via Odin and decided to get back to the stock 4.4.4 today via Odin again.
But I forgot to wipe cache and data over TWRP before getting back to stock 4.4.4.
Now Google play store downloads and loads apps slower, some root apps stuck around 1-2 minutes before asking for root permissions and I get little lags.
Are they happening because I didn't wipe data and cache?
Should I wipe and flash the same rom again?

I have a nexus 4 which I rooted successfully and installed cm 10.1 on android 4.2.2 factory. I installed one of the nighty roms last week and it has been working fine.
today I tried to flash the cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-mako-M2.zip which was an OTA update.
I used the update option in settings and after updating to cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-mako-M2.zip successfully I wasn't sure what to do,
I knew that I had to install the gapps again but wasn't sure how. So went back to square one, booted into recovery, did a factory reset, cache wipe, delvick cache wipe and reinstalled cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-mako-M2.zip and then installed the gapp package. After that my my google apps don't work, have done restore with Titanium backup and still not working . Don't know what to do.
I have gone back and wiped cache and delvic cache again and reinstalled the gapps but still none of google apps will run.
should I do a factory reset and start the whole procedure over again and reinstall everything?
Do a full wipe, flash cm10.1 and gapps and I recommend flashin Francis kernel. Make sure its the latest

Ok so a couple of days ago I flashed a custom ROM using cwm recovery and I want to go back to stock so I wiped the data, cache and dalvik cache via cwm and tried to restore a backup i had made when i had the stock ROM installed but now I am just stuck in a bootloop. What can i do? :crying:
get a beer :highfive:
I was on rooted stock rom and decided to change my rom for the first time, i downloaded RGUI by gh.rohit , booted to recovery then cleared cache, data, system, dalvik cache, and then flashed the zip file, everything was fine then after completion when i pressed to reboot system, a pop up message came asking me to install supersu,i swiped to instal, and then my phone is in bootloop, currently going back to stock, but i want to instal RGUI , can anyone tell me where i went wrong?
Sorry to start a thread for something that I think is simple. I want to update my S5 to the newest PF4. I was on a rooted 5.0.1 before. I didn't care about keeping root, etc.
I used SamFirm to download the newest firmware. Then ODIN to flash the newest firmware.
The result was it upgraded my phone to 6.0.1 instead of a clean install. In the old days, I recall having to clean cache, clean Dalvik cache, and maybe some other steps.
I simply want to nuke my phone 100%, and load it with the stock firmware PF4.
If I reboot my phone into recovery I see Wipe Date/Factory Reset and Wipe cache partition. I envision that is what I need to do, but looking for confirmation. Also, does the order matter?

You just need to flash a full factory tar from odin
Where do I get a full factory tar? I used SamFirm, the screencap is below.

You can use Samsung smart switch emergency upgrade and initialization option to fully wipe and upgrade your device.
Or just flash the stock firmware, and then go to recovery and do a factory reset.

Hi, another post about a brick I'm afraid. This brick holds a question though. I'll get to it
Friends new s5 failed an ota root (towelroot, reset then kingroot.. both fail) he didn't want custom rom just root access.
Then when trying official ota update from 4.2.2 to 6 it looped. Installation was around 10 min then the reboot stalled and just sits until it's warm.
It runs download mode and is recognised in odin.. but no recovery - it goes to update screen (android w cog in chest) and then bootloops
This softbrick 'is' fixable.. but i dont have the csc
It is a 4.4.2 telstr austrailia model.. I think it might be build that ends with an_1
BUT did it update? do I flash 4.4.2 or 6
If partition was affected before official update then it will still be 4.4.2
But if it was simply files that were damaged then it may be a corrupt 6
hmm
Much appreciated
Andy
install twrp>advanced wipe> wipe data, cache, dalvik, system.

Yeah recovery then wipe worked, I had doubted flashing since it was stuck on official update.. Thanks
For ref - loop was just from sys files being modified (prob towelroot ota)
Once wiped it would still sit on boot but now it wouldn't loop or heat up
From there I flashed og firmware w odin and wiped
