[Q] MB525 (0% Battery) Resurrection In-Progress + some TriCkS - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Motorola Defy got stuck with a Red 0% Battery Icon and would not budge - at all!
It has taken the adeptness of a Kundalini Yoga Master and Zen Programmer who has reached near enlightenment state to gain any traction on a solution.
Im still NOT out of the woods and need some suggestions. Here is what I have done so far …
VITALS:
- MB525 JORDAN
- Green Lens (SOC)
- Froyo 2.2.1
HISTORY:
- Éclair to Froyo update via T-Mo update
- Rooted > SuperOneclick (no problems)
- Has worked flawlessly, even though its been dropped a few times. Screen has facial wounds to prove it.
WHAT I DID SO FAR: “TricKs”
- Got into recovery mode and reset everything.
RECOVERY:
> (note: charging cord is initially unattached to power)
> Hold down Power Button and Volume (-) Button simultaneously and plugin Charging Cord
** used power outlet switch to make easier** (GE 52149 Handy Switch Grounded White)
> Depress Volume (+) and Volume (-) simultaneously to get into RECOVERY MODE.
RESET:
> Select > Wipe data/factory reset to RESET back to STOCK.
> PLUGGED Phone with NEW Fully Charged Battery into PC USB Port.
I went and bought a Rayovac Battery to replace the ones from Amazon I was using.
** charged NEW Battery with external charger ** (Yiboyuan AB-09 Charger)
[NOTE] Things didn’t work until I plugged my phone with usb cord into my PC USB port.
BYPASS MOTO BLUR:
> enter “eebluroffee” at start up when prompted to activate MOTO BLUR. Long hold menu button to access keyboard. Works like a charm.
CURRENT STATUS:
- Phone Calling Works! :-]
- Internet Worked initially, currently NO longer works. ;-[
- Capacitive Button HOME and SEARCH Keys DON’T work.
(Never had a problem before, ever)
(Have to use BACK Key to move through menus)
- SUPERUSER App is in my APPS tray.
- Installed apps (apk’s) I had on my SD card (32GB) no problem even apps with root privilege.
I think my problems started when I started accessing apps off the GOOGLE PLAY App to re-populate my phone. I don’t know if this corrupted my Google Apps (GAPPS) or what and now I have lost internet privileges from GAPPS.
Any thoughts, ideas, would be most appreciated.
I have NOT flashed any SBF’s or GAPPS mainly because Im not sure which ones I should use and also I have never done it before and don’t want to mess things up any more than they are.

If I figure out how to get the (2) Hardware Menu Buttons [Home & Search] to work, I will post that as well. From the Youtube Vids Ive been looking at, it looks like Im going to have to do some disassembly and see if any Cable Interconnects between the motherboard and phone are loose or disconnected.
Ive learned a lot from this fiasco! Im not afraid of a bricking a phone any
more. Ive gone to edge and seen the light! :-]

11. battery meter not accurate at all, and very high battery usage
12. some htc applicaions doesn't work (audio booster ) works ut make no change
13. flash on camera and green tint
14. light sensor in extreme dark conditions (corrupted as in android ) needs testing not sure
15. rebooring problems
16.FM radio is very loud even with the volume on the minimum setting.
17. sync contacts names problems (may be wp7 )
18. service provider settings (like charge , pay pill ) in windows 6.5 and android doesn't exist (wp7 problem , may be ) .
19. digital compass , is it working or not and how to test it
20.mms, can't change apn for mms
21.No headset icon when headset is bluged
22.push tiles update issue
23.Only the left headset works when make call.
24. mic doesn't work when headset is bluged in
25. Phone remains "locked" after MS activation, no amount of unlocking works. *mod edit - try method 2 : here *
Notes:
A. some issues are windows phone 7 related that we should wait for microsoft to fix them see the list here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836373
B. I will request the next rom update to be an hd7 reg edited as default , so that we will only need to use the activation code without cracking the phones security with (chevron wp7.exe ) as with the next microsoft ypdate we will not be able to use it any more.
C. All problems are being repeated now , i think the list above includes it all ,one more day and i will be reporting all these issues on the chinees forum , or to cotulla ,
A very big problem don't let your phone empty its charge as it can't be charged while it is off and it will die unless you find a way to charge it externally
I hope that cotulla this repaired
Speciall the camera
wifi problem, phone don't open the site but is connect to the router
WiFi problem - I can't see all WPA secured WiFi networks, I can find (and connect) my WiFi at home, but at work, HD2 doesn't see WiFi there...
Yesterday I answered the phone and the opposite side can't hear me (radio 2.15.., I don't know, just the last version)
Sometimes the phone is little bit laggy, I think, that the problem is in the SD card, when I used the phone w/o card (before hard-reset ofc), everything was faster
1. Speaker is very loud
2. Hope Market will be soon available for all.
I will be updating the list issue periodically and I might register to dft forum to report it all if he is not going to xda anymore

Known issue with Magldr.
Warning!
Installed win phone 7 on my HD2, and it formated my 16 gb memory card in a secured partition, all data was erased, and i could not format it using any windows tools, so the only solution for me was to "Hard" Format it using a free software called SDFormatter, it formated and brought back to life my microSD Card.
So people, back up your data before flashing.
So far one issue: it takes quite a lot of time to turn off the phone
Regarding the camera, using flash gives green tint. No other problems from the reported ones.

I had the same problem. I've noticed that the wlan channel from my wlan router was 13. I switched the channel to 11 and then WP7 find my wlan...
So, WP7 doesn't support wlan channels higher then 11...
wifi mac address will change if you reboot the phone.
The type isn't clear when you scroll down or up in the system menu, it takes a little bit time when the type is clear again.
The next problem for me is that I don't know how to set up wireless synchronization, I think I've done everything according to Microsoft pages, but it doesn't work for me.
And then I have the same problems like you, loud speakers, camera...
Well, after reading most of the posts here I guess I was lucky, WiFi and Mobile data connection worked for me, the phone was fast (faster than Android).
The whole WP7 seems to be 'airy' and not so heavy as Android, I liked the look of emails, large and clear fonts, easy to read and navigate. But on the whole, the system seems to be too closed off, not much customization is available.
I did manage to unlock it and install some 3rd party apps but soon the phone would give me a message that 'Microsoft has revoked' the particular program. Also the phone keeps locking itself over and over. I got tired of unlocking it every time I wanted to install a new app. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. Had to either reset the phone or PC many times in order for things to work.
Does anybody know a solution to this?
I could have asked MS to give me the 'key' so that live services could be used but was not sure I want to keep this OS on my phone. It may be similar to Vista issue, a nice looking OS but buggy. Somehow I have a feeling that a new and (much) improved WP7 is around the corner.
Couple of tips:
If you want to sync your contacts, calendar, etc., the easiest way is to go through Google. If you used an Android ROM before this should not be a problem. Back up all your contacts in Android by using your Google account, once you are in WP7 go to Settings - People - Gmail and sign in. It will automatically sync your contacts to the phone - painlessly. You can also choose not to have your Facebook contacts mixed with the phone's ones. Up to you.
If you want to revert back to WinMO 6.5 or Android:
- take out your SD card first
- turn off your phone and then hold the Vol Down key as you press and hold the Power button (get into Bootloader screen)
- flash the official ROM (3.14 RUU is recommended)
- use your photo camera to format your SD card (if you have a card holder, stick in, and then format)
- if you wish you can format your SD card again once you put it back into your phone and plug it into your PC
It worked for me. I am using my SD card again to run Android (flawlessly)

After unlock the phone, you have to use 2 softs :HTC Connection Setup and Tom WP7 Jailbreak in order to prevent from MS remote lock. Have you used it before?
some issue
My Leo restarts after about an one-two hours .
When I click the red phone, then again, Leo wake up after one minute , restart or doesn't wake up .
The second issue is when Leo is restarting , all information disappear - just like in hard reset .
It's not very stable and vast ;(

10 things that I hate about Gingerbread!

I really wonder why there is none of such thread here!
Gingerbread unfortunately brought only bad things to my Nexus. I already forgot why I was so crazy about installing it.
What feature did it introduce again?
Okay the response is much better and everything seems faster...but with lots of bugs?
That screen off animation? Seriously?
Things that I hate now:
- Battery Time: this is bad, can't even run half a day with lot of usage, b
efore I could listen to mp3's one day, ie. more than 4 hours without any problems...now
- Camera: either Cam or Video, the application crashes after I take a photo or video and then I can not connect to it anymore
- Gallery: often crashes, especially if you have an online photo account connected
- unlock screen: I use a pattern, often there is no overlay of what pattern I drag, still the screen can be unlocked
- Market: even if automatic updates activated, it only updates if you open the market and go to the "my apps" tab
- 3G and Wifi: if you are connected to wifi more than 15 minutes and then disconnect from it you do not get any 3G, you have to go to airplane mode and back, this bug appeared ages ago and was fixed, now back again...tells you a lot about their merging control, ie. sucks
- notification led: you know...
- apps: there are a lot of apps running even though I never used them since restart (see it in a task killer app)
- gps: on a random bases it tries to lock even though no app that uses gps is running
- phone reboot: it even rebooted without any notice two times since I installed it
(- Contacts: I still can't enter a simple thing like a birthday on an expensive phone like this)
MOD EDIT: Borderline trolling removed. If you switch OSes, that's your own choice. No one here is stopping you.
Got any troubles? Tell here.

4. Blank keyboard- fixed by switching to another keyboard and back again, or a reset
5. Blank Launcher- fixed with reset
6. In the stock SMS app a long press>delete conversation doesn't always delete the selected conversation; sometimes you have to do it twice.
As far as battery goes, my display is still the thing that takes up the most battery (which is normal) but I had been experiencing severe declines in battery life. Does the switch to 32-bit color require more processing power and therefore battery?
I *#*#4636#*#*>phone information and saw it was set to WCDMA preferred. I remember playing with the option when froyo came out but didn't remember what it was set to (Maybe Gingerbread reset the option...?). I changed it to GSM PRL (Auto), and have experienced increases in battery life, as my phone isn't hunting for 3G all the time- it uses a service provided list of tower locations.
The LED REALLY bugs me.
Hate about Gingerbread
No trackball wake
Juice Defender Doesn't work (but Green Power does - works well but with less flexibility than JD)
Short battery life
Useless keyboard selection gimmicks
- Market: even if automatic updates activated, it only updates if you open the market and go to the "my apps" tab

Well, glad to know mine isn't the only one that does this!!
On Froyo I would wake up in the morning to freshly updated apps that had updated automatically over night.
I have not had this happen a single time on Gingerbread, and nearly every time I go in to the market there are updates waiting.
What is the point of the automatic update feature when it doesn't work???

auto update never worked for me, even in froyo.
-Battery with CM7 roms
-Trackball wake blocked in non-CM7 roms
-More difficult to mod themes like statusbar (before we just had to change a png and now we have to edit a bunch of files)
So in summary GB roms are still not stable and complete, they have either TB wake missing or poor battery life too
My annoying issues?
- 2 second mic mute after I answer a call
- stock launcher choking after a while
Less annoying ones:
- Market does not automatically update apps
- gps activations without an apparent reason
My annoyances
In no particular order:
The cursor select triangle not lining up with the cursor
Launcher unresponsive/vanishing
Lockscreen pattern not showing (as in the OP)
Phone randomly stays awake at night
GPS turns itself off
Not able to view an apps wakelock any more
USB mount screen shows 'turn off' even when it isn't mounted (UK issue)
USB debugging icon doesn't appear, or doesn't turn off depending on how you enabled it
Exchange push is just crap now, I swear it's getting worse by the day

While I'm not a big Gingerbread lover at all, here are answers to some of the points:
Battery time is fine, at least in freshly installed ROMs it far exceeds what Froyo mastered.
Camera is your own problem - you didn't update radio, or your update went bad.
Gallery never crashed - again, your own problem (you get the feeling now, right?).
3G and WiFi - again, your own problem. No bug.
Apps - and why do you care? Isn't the "DO NOT USE TASK KILLER" thread clear enough? 150-200MB free RAM aren't self-explanatory?
Due to your comments, you might really consider switching to Apple. It would be beneficial both for you and for this forum.
Or you could back up user data, wipe, install new radio and bootloader, load fresh Gingerbread ROM (NOT CM7 or CM7-based), and have most of your points addressed.
Now, having said that, if you want a much better overall feel - install Froyo-based Desire port, or if you don't have any use for Hotspot - DesireHD port. I hate using barebone Android after some experience with it.
have you guys heard about Cyanogenmod ROM? I am using CM7 RC4 and I have no problems that anyone mentioned in this thread....
Maybe you haven't heard that your experience not necessarily represents anything.
For me (and another 2 guys that asked me to reinstall other ROM on their Nexus Ones), CM7 was a huge, awful pile of bugs. Starting with the ill-famous "wonk".
Plus, again, after having some SenseUI I don't really want to go back to plain Android, and wouldn't suggest it to anyone looking for a good overall experience.
I have an occasional problem with the application tray where it stutters, flashes and doesn't scroll properly. It seems to happen only after exiting certain apps, and needs the launcher to be force closed to fix.

Just lost all credibility in my book...
I would suggest the OP decides what features he/she wants in a ROM and then try a few different ones out. There are plenty to cater to all tastes and i'm sure they'll be able to find one that works well for them.
1. exchange sync stops syncing without any reason. can't start a manual sync. only reboot of the phone helps for a short period of time. needs a fix very urgently.
2. TINY TINY notification icons...the worst idea google had for the GB update. i cannot see the difference between the gmail and exchange mail icon on normal usage in example.
There are some more points which i also mentioned in my blog about gingerbread for nexus one:
http://smartphoneblogging.com/2011/03/review-android-2-3-3-gingerbread-for-nexus-one/
Thread Cleaned
Let's play nicely in here and keep this on-topic. This is not the place to discuss other operating systems. This is about issues pertaining to the OTA Gingerbread updates.
Thanks,
Your loving moderator.
One bug and one annoying change:
- The instability of the launchers. I hope they address this.
- The inaccessible GPS toggle. Tasker can't access it and neither can the toggle widgets. Why did they change this?
my mms sometimes does not send if i configure 2 APNs (one for mobile data and one for mms), while i disable the one for mobile data...
it's working fine on Froyo and CM6 before

QFT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Auto brightness adjustment no longer fades, now it just jump straight to the target brightness which is quite abrupt visually.
And of course... trackball wake is gone.
I concur with these points:
- Battery Time: this is bad, can't even run half a day
- Gallery: often crashes, especially if you have an online photo account connected
- Market: even if automatic updates activated, it only updates if you open the market and go to the "my apps" tab
- GPS: on a random bases it tries to lock even though no app that uses gps is running
- Creating shortcuts on desktop: sometimes you can't drag/drop icons to the desktop or to a different spot on the desktop.
- The cursor select triangle not lining up with the cursor
- Auto brightness adjustment no longer fades, now it just jump straight to full bright or full dim.
As for the people suggesting we update the radio and try different roms, while that is primarily what this board is about, it doesn't "solve" anything. This is a stock Nexus One with official everything. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work.

[Q] Screen rotation out 90 degrees, cannot calibrate?

Hi - my Galaxy Y's screen orientation is out by 90 degrees (it is consistently 90 degrees anti-clockwise to where it should be). I can turn off auto rotate and live with the problem (or get used to turning my head sideways), but it seems there should be a simple fix that I am missing.
I am running Android 2.3.5, Kernel 2.6.35.7, build Gingerbread.XXKI6 and I am connected to the Telstra network in Australia.
So far I have tried:
1. Running the horizontal calibration tool (under Settings -> Display)
2. Checking the acceleromater etc by dialling *#0*# - it shows me lots of movement as I move the phone so it looks like the hardware is working
3. Rooting the phone, then trying to run sensorcalibutil_yamaha as superuser, only to find out that this file doesn't exist on my system.
4. Doing a factory reset, deleting all my apps and data (no great loss as the phone is new).
I could just send the phone back but I am about to go away and need the phone with me. Has anyone come across this issue before? Is there a simple way to change the settings so that the phone just orientates itself 90 degrees to the right?
Many thanks in advance.
Go to Settings > Display > Calibrate Accelerometer > put phone in a level place > Calibrate.
if it doesnt work try updating your firmware

Take it to the service center.. it could be a model for another universe which follows different gravitational statics.
Ok, I tried updating my firmware.
I'm now running Android 2.3.6, Kernel 2.6.35.7, build Gingerbread.DDLA1
I then tried the horizontal calibration many times (I have even tried calibrating it while on an angle just to try and fool the phone). Still no joy. The most depressing thing is that when it is calibrated on a level surface and I then hold it up, I can see the green ball moving to the left of the screen all the time rather than to the top.
I suspect that noobwithgalaxyy is right and this phone has been built for a different universe and needs to phone home ...
Its probably....

your phone is most likely the gt-5360T and thus its autorotation is set off by any of the 5360's roms, it really sucks because i cant do any custom roms
How did u callibrated....
I mean did u put it on a level surface or jst holded it in hands.??
**rooting is new for me...and i am noob to root...**

You are right, the sensor of the GT-S5360T is somehow different.
But you can just extract the drivers of the telstra rom and use them in any custom rom you like.
I have packed the drivers into a zip update file.
You can just flash the zip in ClockworkMod-Recovery.

[Q] Rooted NST now unresponsive to power button quick press

It's more than a month since I rooted my NST starting from firmware 1.1.2 using TouchNooter 2.1.31. I've had no serious weirdness until a couple of days ago, when it stopped responding to a short press of the power button. Here are a few details:
It still responds to a long press of the power button with the expected "Power Down?" dialog, so the button itself isn't broken.
It still goes to sleep when it times out and when I tap the Button Savior power button, so the sleep function isn't broken.
The only unusual thing I was doing soon before I noticed the problem was using Nook Touch Tools to remap some buttons and reboot.
I also used Nook Touch Tools to clear the Dalvik cache. (I did this because I was hoping to improve the performance of Wiki Encyclopedia Pro, but that's a story for another day.)
Any thoughts?
(BTW, my main reasons for rooting were to enable some light browsing and also some news apps like Pulse, Currents, and Wiki Encyclopedia Pro. For the first two I haven't been able to find apk versions that will run on Android 2.1. For the last, it runs but not at all well. Navigation is impossible in most of the newspapers, making it pretty useless. Any and all suggestions appreciated.)
ETA: No need to respond. I decided to revert to stock, which fixed the issue. I had fun rooting and playing around, but for daily use it wasn't worth it. I really just wanted a reader. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus for the other stuff. Reading on that screen isn't as pleasant as on the NST, but the Tab runs those apps very well indeed.

[ROM] Lineage 13.0, Idol 3 4.7" variants [unofficial] The Stayboogy Way

first and foremost, special thanks to alecbl for his initial device tree and kernel source. this build would not be possible without his kernel work.
This is LineageOS 13.0 for the Alcatel Idol 3 4.7" variants
as always, full device, vendor, and kernel trees available at github:
https://github.com/stayboogy/stayboogy_lineage13_idol347
all changes in detail: https://github.com/stayboogy/stayboogy_lineage13_idol347/commits/master
This build is not the same as alecbl's, mine has some various changes to make it a more proper build for this specific device.
Updates will be coming as time progresses and new features are added.
FEATURES:
tap2wake & tap2sleep
double press power button opens camera
triple press power gives brightness boost
call recording available
lineage.yahoo.weather provider now installed by default
notepad included by default
typical apps and functionality of CM / Lineage roms
SPECIAL NOTES
1) wrist/tilt sensor (accelerometer) is used for the missing motion sensor for doze settings
2) speech to text / voice typing requires the Google app and for microphone permissions to be activated in settings/apps/Google/permissions then it will work correctly
3) smart lock settings work and persist over reboots--you must have the play store updated, play store services updated, the Google app installed, and Maps installed for all settings to work in smart lock settings.
4) flip cover has not been activated in the device tree yet--if people want it, post and if enough want it i'll add it back
5) battery light pulse option is no longer available, battery light itself when plugged in is active; notification light pulses by default, it's speed can no longer be edited because it doesn't work correctly--this was an executive decision because i don't like options that don't work correctly, these will not be added back, versions 1.1 and higher are incompatible with 1.0 framework so don't try to replace.
6) selinux is enforcing

Hi stayboogy - looking forward to trying this out
Great to see a new dev picking up this device, looking forward to test your work!
sorry last build had an error, new link will be up later tonight
link is live now.
post anything i might have missed. so far i think it is fairly polished
@stayboogy - I'm Testing it now - No root access for apps ? only adb option.

not missing, that's how modern security works and should be.
install superuser from recovery, that's standard mode of operation for everything after kk.
@stayboogy , Will you build lineage os 14.1??
A few issues I found on my day using this rom, I will provide logs on monday if you need, I'm out for the weekend and don't have a pc right now.
-Sometimes the power button instead of locking the device it boosts the screen brightness to max for a few seconds.
-I still find the smartlock issue with bluetooth devices, I do have google app and maps installed
-WiFi speed seems lower than on other devices connected to the same network, but since I'm not on my own house it might be a network issue, will confirm this when I get back home.

1) you're double pressing the power button then, and you have the "double tap power to open camera" option off in settings/buttons/
--either stop double pressing the power button which is what boosts brightness
--or turn on double press for camera option to turn off brightness boost
--or stop double pressing your power button
--pressing once will NEVER EVER produce brightness boost--i've been using the rom since before it was released so i'm sure of this
--your power button may be worn and more susceptible to register a double press when it wasn't
2) smart lock works for me in every option--make sure you're not using some crappy third-party lockscreen app or lockscreen security app that could be interfering with this.
--also there is a slight bug where bluetooth devices that are paired are not remembered upon a power cycle--i'm working on this as i type
3) this must be where you are--i have no issues whatsoever regarding wifi or networks period. of course i have 1GB/min speeds on bad days, and 2GB/min speeds on good days so idk
Thanks for Sharing, and this is the correct way for people to voice their finds and opinions, so thank you for that

It does not have it by default but retains the option to enable it. I have enabled it. The day cyanogen/lineage starts needing to be rooted is the day I start building some other rom.

you're arguing about nothing--engineering builds (ie. lineage_idol347-eng) are the only build that will have su enabled for apps and adb by default
userdebug builds and user builds do not have this enabled by default--only adb root access is made available standard by the system in developer settings.
again, the freaking su is NOT MISSING. I chose to leave the system as it is, because that's how it's supposed to be, and your problems are just stupid childish whining because you don't how current android works.
if you want root, use superuser from recovery which again is standard operating procedure for everything after KitKat. why you can't get this through your thick ****ing skull is beyond me. you obviously are not a developer and have no business making any claims as to what is standard or what is the right way for a rom to work when you aren't building any and have no experience or even basic knowledge of how the build system works or the hundreds of security revisions that have been introduced since kk that make non-systemless rooting a vulnerability...

Yeah, it's most likely my button being worn out, because I had disabled the double press to open camera since it was randomly opening when I pressed the button, I just didn't know double press for brightness was a feature (it's a useful one actually)

After every power cycle I get the notification to pair it and confirm that the codes match and on the bluetooth device itself I get a new 6039A device on the paired devices list after it happens, so it might be that issue you mentioned. (I attached a pic of how the devices list looks on the bluetooth device)

Well, I know and appreciate the free time from your daily life you take to develop and share your work. Hopefully certain type of entitled idiots who think they deserve everything their way and for free don't discourage you to keep up with your amazing work!

hopefully bluetooth paired devices retention is working now

USB bug
After installing I cant transfer files from my device to pc.
In developer options you cant change the USB option from just charge to MTP, PTP or any other it stays in just charge
UPDATE: At the USB Configuration select MTP and keep touching the option to change it
NOTE: Enable Developer options before connecting the device for the first time to the pc

yes, i'm aware you can't change in developer options while it is not attached to pc,
and it bugs out sometimes when it's attached to pc
--this is a problem in the lineage source, not the device tree and therefore out of my control
--use the notification in the status bar to choose how you want the device to connect PTP, MTP, Charge only--this works perfectly and as expected
Somewhere along the way, CM/Lineage has messed with the Bluetooth stack in the source code, and there seems to be possibly some missing component service that needs to be running in order for fine location access to be given to bluetooth in order for it to work correctly, and this is also related to smart lock.
at this time, upon every reboot of your device, you will have to re-pair any bluetooth device you have used previously. auto-connect is broken in the bluetooth service stack somehow. also, your device is created anew each time it is rebooted due to a security measure enacted by google a while back that randomizes your bluetooth mac address so that your device location can't be sniffed by third-party apps. there's a whole long bulletin about it somewhere, but i guarantee this is why bluetooth auto-reconnect is broken after a power cycle.
i have discontinued all use of lineage 13 personally because of this reason alone.
i'll still be work on this rom though.
just don't expect a fix for bluetooth from me because it will have to come from upstream aosp and then made known to everyone.
