Galaxy S II in India - shipped!!

Hi guys,
The availability and pricing in India for S II was announced and put up simultaneously for pre-order in collaboration with Samsung India on letsbuy.com on the 25th of May with ETA as 9th June.
While I was late to the party by around 10hrs, I placed the order straightway without a moment's delay. The offer was a great bargain as well, compared to the prices around the world. This is what I got:
Samsung Galaxy S II (with NFC chip confirmed!!)
MHL Adapter
Car Charger
Official Flip Case
Molife Fit to use case (??)
Screen Protector
And all of the above for just $725 or Rs32,830 in Indian currency!!!
But what has me jumping up and down right now with joy is that I just received an email from the letsbuy.com guys stating that my order has been shipped, tracking info et all...!! Should be on the doorstep by Monday morning... the wait is just killing me now.
So how many guys on the same boat as me?

Nopes, not a mistake. It's just that they now have more orders than the units they are going to receive.
The guys who were the first to pre-order had the Desktop Dock as a free gift along with the MHL adapter, Car Charger and Screen Protector. The response was obviously overwhelming and the pre-order page was put down and came up again after a few hrs. That is when I came to know about the pre-order and booked one for myself. The Dock had been removed though and replaced with a Molife Case.
The ETA was 9th June and now obviously the orders have been exhausted again and the ETA has been changed to a tentative 2nd week of June and the car charger has been replaced with a bluetooth headset.
So basically, not a mistake on their part. Gotta wait till Monday and see what comes in the parcel !!

I too have got an SMS and Email along with Tracking nos.
I hope they actually send the phone. Can't wait for Monday to come

Anyone was able to track their Docket No on Bluedart website?

Looks like you haven't been following all the latest action. There apparently is not much that can be done, the flaw is in the hardware and the design.
It's been confirmed that there won't be Voodoo for the GS2

According to other threads on this forums, this is supposedly a fake and not a genuine item. The 'S' in the original has a different font... chances are they do come out of the same factory though and are of identical quality.
And yeah... it's just a voucher on the way with at least another two weeks wait. Major bummer!!

Anyone bought from or waiting for Affordable Mobiles - UK

I'm waiting for my SGS2.... I ordered from Affordable Mobiles in the UK.... just wanted to make sure when they say next week.... they mean NEXT WEEK..... and that they haven't been stringing along other customers for weeks and weeks with the same promises.

I've got an order pending with them and I've been waiting a while, but there is a shortage of unlocked handsets with the usual online retailers. If you're wanting the phone quickly I'd say go elsewhere, as I've been waiting a fortnight so far. That said, they have the best deals around, especially when taking Quidco into account. I'm holding out for a free phone @£26.50 p/m for 18months (Cashback Inc.)

Yeah same reason I went with them... TopCashback in my case and with a £35 cheque back after 30 days I will be paying the equivalent of just over £28 for 18 mths.... as you say the best deals around by at least by a few pounds each month.
I'm not in a rush as such.... just eager to get back onto Android.... my rooted HD2 died on me so I've sent it back for repair... in the meantime I am using a woeful LG Renior KC910 (good camera, crap phone!).

I am still waiting... apparently any day now, but they can't be anymore specific. They do have the SGS2 on the Three network but I specifically need T-mobile..... hopefully Monday!

Listed elsewhere as a company to avoid .

I ordered mine few weeks back and didn't revive after a week, so spoke to them and they told me it wid be in within the next few days waited a few more days and contacted them again and they told me they dnt have the handset in stock and have no idea when they will be having it back in stock, so I just cancels my order with them and brought from local o2 shop

I ordered mine with them on 19th May..and still waiting..chased every day and they've repeatedly said 'end of the week' when i phone on the friday its 'next week'..
apparantly they now have it in stock on 3, but T-Mobile they're pretty sure will be able to deliver next week (w/c 7th June) but we'll see.

Well I suppose they are at least being consistent... I will do a search of MSE... The AM deal is the best I can get though so I am not keen to cancel just yet.
One good thing is that I have received my old HTC HD2 back from the T-Mobile repair sent so I will have that rooted and running Android in no time... that will keep me going until I get the SGS2

I am still waiting for mine, fingers crossed for soon - the HD2 that i am using is on its last legs - the USB port is broken and I restored a factory ROM to send it back to be fixed (which they would only do for £250). now I cant install HSPL because the USB doesnt work! even worse I had to buy extra batteries and an external charger. Longing so much to get my Galaxy SII in my hands!

Luckily my HD2 was repaired FOC via T-Mobile themselves... I made the mistake of going to HTC direct with my partners Desire and they wanted £200 citing moisture as the problem with one of the buttons.
HTC are solidly made for sure but this doesn't make them anymore reliable... hopefully the Sammy will be better.

Still waiting... and still Affordable Mobiles have no idea when they will have the handsets in stock.

Apparently they are now "In transit" (to Affordable Mobiles)

I will. be receiving mine on the 13th June now... would have been today if it wasn't for the weekend.
Looks like Affordable have reasonable stocks again as they are advertising them again and are by far the cheapest.

You forgot one. There's also pre-ordered... But these statuses shouldn't make any difference.

Pre-order is pretty much self explanatory=u get it when batch 2 comes out

Its the same thing. Complete means your order had been completed by Google Staff. Estimated shipping date means its been handed to UPS and they have determined an expected dilivery date.

Lol um... Nope! I ordered 3-5min after N4 was made available and there are others wayyy after me that has complete / est shipping nov15th on their order status.
These status doesn't mean crap. I confirmed with 2 representative that my order will be shipped in 1-2 business days just like everyone else.

If what google said about same day shipping is true, then my guess is completed=shipping yesterday, 15th=shipping tomorrow (for all the utc-7+ ,people, it's the 14th where I am, though you could have deduced that already )

I ordered that in less than 30 seconds after it became available and I am in pre-order status. For that reason I can't believe that I will have to wait for the next batch. I will get very angry if people ordered that after me got it before me. As soon as logs are kept and google have at least one computer available to sort the logs by time they should start dispatching with the first-come first-served patterns. Otherwise it is just unfair. I am so happy that you have confirmed that with 2 representatives. I sent an email to Google Play yesterday and I received a response saying that their records and my order id show that I will have the device shipped by the evening of 15/11. (this should be an automated reply by a bot that crawls your email and finds possible answers to your question - I say that because firstly I received the answer in 1-2 minutes and I don't believe that in such a busy day I had such a quick response and secondly the answer was close to what I asked but not exactly what I asked).

Google reps are even more retarded than tmobile reps. And yes i guess preorder is just a glitch. As long as they have charged you card showing in ur online banking u should be good. Mine still shows pending

im assuming that if the order processed(got to the result page), you got urself a nexus 4!.

"We are waiting for volume confirmation from HTC early next week.
Due to the bank holiday period we are unable to get firm dates on the deliveries of the HTC One in both colours.
We aim to send out an update email to all pre order customers by Wednesday of next week, 3rd April 2013.
We apologise that there has been an unforeseen delay due to HTC postponing the release of the handset in any large volume.
Mobile Phones Direct will be back in touch next Wednesday as mentioned above."
So it looks like we wont see deliveries until next week,

I anticipated as much anyway. Thanks for the update mate. I never got this email.

Just for info. I cancelled my deal with these as there was in identical deal with affordable mobile who were charging around £15 cheaper for the upfront phone purchase. When I phoned them to see if they would match it they said no. I said screw you and went somewhere else. Be worth checking as both were advertising through uSwitch.

Mines bought now. Good deal either way. As long as mine turns up with no gaps and works well, I'm happy.
I will certainly be visually inspecting it physically before I even turn it on and I won't be inserting the sim card immediately either.

When I placed my order at MPD, it was 60 up front, 26 a month x 24 months, 500 min unltd texts, unltd data.
I got the same deal at Affordable Mobiles except for 30 up front and I also get the Media link(value around 50pounds) free. So saved 30 and a free media link. I am certainly not complaining with that. Cannot bring myself to pay more than that a month for a phone, no matter how good it is.

Same here. I paid 40 quid , and will be 26 a month. Ultd txt net and 500 mins. T Mobile.
I'm happy with that tbh. I'm gonna see if mine comes next week.
A note to all. When you get your phone , BEFORE you turn it on physically check it over and then try turning it on without sim card in. You will be in better position to return if your handset is dodgy.

Good point. After all the posts I have read so far, I will certainly be giving my phone the Once over before it is turned on. Really hope the guy I spoke to at Affordable mobiles was correct when saying that they would be delivered next week(now this week) as all the major carriers were now sorted out. I last release device I got was the Original Desire. It is nice to get them when released if for the right price( like the One).

They say that you shouldnt put sim in till after youve fully checked the device over. It stops the retailers from having any qualms about you returning it.

Just an update. Mobile Phones Direct on their site, now state, " Order now for next working day delivery ".
So this seems promising. I hope.

Indeed that's a hopeful sign my pre-order from February 25th for a Silver HTC One might just be soon on its way. My last email contact from them said stock arriving Tuesday 2nd April for delivery 3rd April. I certainly hope so because otherwise what is the point of pre-ordering when it seems you can walk into any P4U or 3 shop and pick them up. I have had enough of watching all the video reviews now! Lets get it in my hands!

Agreed, and will do, although last year I bought an XPlay from dial a phone and ended up sending back 3 phones because of a constant reboot issue and they did not once question it(within the 28 days) I ended up with my E3D as a result because I could not be without a phone. Good decision because I love my E3D. I won't have an issue at all sending it back if it is not right. It makes it much easier that it will be bought online as you have more rights of return.

I don't think there would be many issues with sending a phone back if it developed a fault ( even if you put Sim card in ) but, I do remember seeing messages on the internet from various people complaining that retailers such as MPD / affordable mobiles and Dialaphone, have been very difficult with regards to people sending their handsets back after it messed up in a couple of weeks or so.
Something on the lines of " They said i cant send it back because when i put the sim in i agreed to their contract " Blaa Blaa Blaaa.
I'm a bit more savvy myself and would just lay down the rules and quote references from the sales of good act here in the UK or what ever it is. Shops tend to sh!t themselves when you bring out the big guns lol. But some people DO try it on.
I've pre-ordered a silver one myself. Hoping it comes in good working order.

Hey Vizzy. I spoke to them on Thursday last week to confirm my media link(was not mentioned when going through with the deal online) and then asked them when delivery would take place. The gut said that they would be getting them on Tuesday and delivering either next day or day after so we should receive them Thursday/friday. Holding thumbs it is before the weekend so I can spend some quality time with it over the weekend.

According to Des on Twitter, one of the reasons for the delay was to make sure all locations were able to get a demo phone. As the leaked list showed, only 2/3 of locations were even getting a demo, and only 1/3 were getting sellable stock.

So 11/19 all should have demos & stock to sell otherwise This list linked from http://www.droid-life.com/2014/11/1...ednesday-from-t-mobile-check-this-list-first/ or is that no longer happening?
I called today because at one point there were rumors demos might show up today & was told they were expecting demos tomorrow & only 32GB MBlue but I'd definitely call again before heading there..

I got a feeling one will be able to order it from 11/19. Then wait another 2-4 weeks for delivery. Should be available in hand by Xmas. :good:

I want the largest available.. 64GB in this case (I'd take 128GB if it were available) so I'm not going to find it tomorrow but hope to get it before Xmas..

Speaking to one of my friends who also works at T-Mobile today around 9PM EST he told me the email they received was no sale in store but they can direct ship from the store to the customer. I asked he got no email of delayed launch and he said not today maybe if it does it will come in tomorrow. He's a trust worthy guy and knows what hes talking about just as crazy about this stuff as me.

Guess he doesn't know that Tmobile stores don't ship from the store to the customer....

I though I saw can order in store and ship home. I have seen this option multiple times

Direct ship, yeah they can order it for CX and have it sent to store. If he's saying he can order you one, you might wanna do that fast before they block it for him

I just called 611 from T-Mobile and they are not letting you order the phone over the phone. So if a store will let you buy one then you are lucky and jump on it. But I highly doubt that anyone from t mobile is going to sell it earlier.

Just like any business, you have a plan. Moto promised them stock for the date they planned. Looks like Moto failed to deliver for whatever reason (could've been a manufacturing issue)

Amazon notified me yesterday that the Spigen cases I ordered were "shipped by Spigen" and would be arriving 11/25-28.

Well, this is what I get for not checking the N6 forums yesterday. Stopped by the store and they didn't even know about the delay until I asked about the phone. That's when the rep saw the internal memo saying the launch was pushed back. It's complete BS to push back a launch date the day before. They already knew there was limited supply.
