Anyone out there notice that on a completely full charge using the AC charger, the minute you pull out the charger, the batt indicator on the TAB will drop to 99% ? The 100% only last a couple of seconds!!! No apps running , wifi, BT, GSM is all off.
Is this normal ?
Yup. Same thing happens here. I think it's normal. Same thing happens with my mobile phone.
Thanks.. but this never happens to my mobile phones and that includes Samsung Omnia, Omnia II and Omnia Pro..
As soon as i pull my plug i am showing 98%.
Yep, I was wondering that too. It goes straight to 99%. I guess it's some bug, it doesn't really go to 99%
It's just rounding down, but think about it:
The moment you unplug it, you're consuming battery power.
If you've consumed any battery power, it can't be at 100%, now can it?
I really don't see the problem with it dropping to 99% .. really i don't !!

Any number of ways, but I have been using the "Batterylife" widget from curve fish on the market.
Thanks i installed it. I noticed that my battery drains quiet quickly, my tab was in stand by mode for 30 to 45 min and i battery drains by 9%. I just bought it this afternoon could please guide.

With a lot of android devices the battery is not calibrated with the system, there was a post on how to do this with a nexus one. i used it on my vibrant and it worked the same. it was a series of steps like plugging the phone in, powering off, powering on, unplugging again, weird stuff like that. and it actually works. sorry i dont know where the post is or the exact steps to do.

I did this for my captivate and works well:
1. Connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on, and allow the phone to charge until it shows 100%
2. Disconnect the phone from the charger, and power it off.
3. Reconnect the phone to the charger with the phone powered off, and allow the phone to charge until the battery indicator shows 100% (you can use vol-up/vol-down to make the indicator come back up when the screen goes to sleep).
4. Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on.
5. Once the phone is powered completely on, power it off again and reconnect it to the charger until the battery indicator shows 100%.
6. Disconnect the phone, power it on, and use it.
Hey, it doesn't happen to me so you must have something else going on.
The only thing that matters is how long the battery lasts between charges.
The percentage of charge shown on a battery gauge widget is meaningless unless the battery is draining abnormally in relationship to the way the tab is being used.
I find that my tab drains from 99% to 60% in about 2.5 hours with wifi on, GPS on, bluetooth off. It then takes another 4.5 hours or so to drop from 60% to about 10% under the same conditions. So... 7 hours of continous wifi on web browsing isn't much to complain about.

exactly..
Most modern electronic devices on Li-ion batteries do this. When the device reaches 100%, it will stop charging to prevent damage to the battery. The battery then drains to 90-95% and the charging circuit allows the battery to charge again. Most systems hide this by displaying the battery level at 100 or 99% for a while after the device is unplugged. Hope this helps!
Hi, all..

If it is really just standing for 1 minute, then it's your battery's problem! But if you've just enlarged the problem, you can calibrate your battery by charging it to 100%, then unplugging, let it drain the charge to 0% and turn off automatically. Try to turn it on without plugging till when it can't get turn on anymore. Then without turning it on, just plug it and charge it again to 100% (The LED goes to green). Then you can turn it on again. This may help!

Hi mate ,
What rom are you using , what kernel and what bootloader do you have?
There are some incompatibilities between the old bootloader and the new kernels like with the old bootloader if you try to charge your phone while is off the phone will switch back on by itself but it will charge
What happens if you try to charge when the phone is booted?

Yes.I think not about with charger
I flashed cm11 rom and maked wipe battery stats
I used my phone untill %0 battery.
charged completely (with the phone off)
turn on my phone and I deleted batterystats.bin
and again I shutdown my phone
disconnect from the charger
and turnon again
second time I drain my battery completed untill the phone shuts down
and this happened

Draining your phone to 0%, wiping battery stats and deleting batterystats.bin are completely useless things to do. It does nothing. In fact draining your battery untill 0% might actually damage your battery.
Your battery will calibrate itself, nothing you need to do.
Try what it does with the original charger.
I solved the problem
I flashed again same rom without last updated expect
problem=last updated package
My J5 2016 510-FN is displaying the wrong percentage of battery and it's shutting down at roughly 15/20% sometimes 25%.
I've let it completly run out of battery and charging it to 100% while being off and it still didn't solve the problem..
What shoudl I do?

This usually happens when the battery starts to wear.
A little tip to try:
Charge to 100% then Power off then turn on the phone with charging cable out.
If charge percentage has gone down put cable in and charge to 100% again.
Repeat the above until it stays at 100% after reboot.

Also, does debloating, using greenify, build.prop and other stuff make my battery last longer?
Hello
after the last automatic update , the percentage of the battery never increases.
VNS-L31C185B396
phone disconnect charger: the percentage decreases normally.
phone plug in charger: the charger is detected correctly, the percentage never increases. even after 24 hours of charge, phone open or closed.
I let my phone go unloaded until it goes off.
after that I plug it into the charger for 6 hours, the percentage stays down and the phone goes off.
to turn on my phone I have to remove and put back the battery so that it gives me the real percentage of the battery.
what I have tried already:
- I try other chargers
- I replace the battery
- I replace "Tablecloth Charge"
- factory reset
- wipe cache
I wanted to change the version but I do not have the bootloader code
Someone could help me with some advice to fix this problem please.
Thank you in advance.!
Discharge the battery completely until the phone doesn't boot anymore.
Then charge it without letting the phone to boot up in the software until it is fully charged.
