That's the Splash Screen, you can both change it to a image you like or to a black one (and in both cases it is not very easy to do even though there are some threads) but you can no t remove it.

Can you tell me where can i find it in system directory?
It won't be found anywhere. The Galaxy S4 splash screen is in the low level firmware and as noted is difficult to access. The boot animation that comes after this screen can be changed however as it's part of the ROM.

i found this:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938988
And that tool may work. It also may brick your phone. When I said the file wasn't found anywhere in /system, that is because where it is located most people don't touch: the bootloader, which is low-level firmware. Making changes to the bootloader is not recommended as you can very easily brick your S4 if you don't know what you're doing.
The reward here is insufficient compared to the risk, but if you want to try it, have fun.
Thanks

So here is my story, i tried to install a new rom via rom manager.
It was all going well until i hit the back button (stupid).
The phone was not responding so i pulled the battery out.
Tried to boot and then i got this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Yes, i know that's normal
Then i got this:
When i touch the power button the screen goes off.
When i touch it again you will see the screen again.
So then i boot into Recovery with the "!" screen.
1. Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
2. Flash zip from sd
But then i get this error: Nohup
Can someone please help me?
Can you get into USB fastboot?

CWM is the only recovery image for the Legend. So many issues could be solved if people just used fakeflash.
Well if you look at it that way It would be really nice if there was a stickie called "FakeFlash: try this before you ask !" in bold red size 25 text
edit: in every one of those 4 forums
Fake flash is in the roll-up sticky in the dev section
Yes, but not in red bold font In this way I kinda like modaco's pinned topics

I have TWRP.
I will try stock recovery through odin and get back.
Thanks.
I think i have done it. It took a while to reboot and there was no notifications heard. So fingers crossed they buyer has not got my life details.
Thank you very much Lennyz1988.
Dear friends i have one very important question .. however my SGS4's display died and i had installed a CM11 on it i need to revert back to stock firmware because of my warranty. I've found many manuals how to do this but i still don't know one thing.. Do I need to reset my binary counter after or before flashing the stock rom ?? or it will be reset by flashing the stock firmware? It will be a little difficult for me because my screen is black and the only way how to do things on the phone is by connecting MHL adapter...
And just to explain what happened to my screen... the pixels has slowly started to changing colors to blue just like on the foto attached... It was no way to stop it neither removing battery helped.. and after a few hours screen was totally black... digitizer is working fine..

I am sorry for posting it here but I have totally no idea if it is even possible to do this with display down....
Thank you so much guys

There is no need to reset any counter. You can't hide it anyway these days. There are eFuses burned already. That doesn't mean you lost support though. Just send it in.

First of all thank you for your reply
And hmm that's not so good ... however replacing screen with digitizer would cost me 165 euros if they would say my warranty is void ... and what do you think, should i better flash the stock firmware or not ?? I can do that through odin with no problems also without screen working..
thank you
Yes, why not. Shouldn't harm.
Since Sprint decided to pull the plug on WiMAX, I had to get rid of my trusty Evo 4G for a S4. Rooted with Odin, but followed an ancient guide on youtube to get tether unlocked without reading the comments. Now I'm stuck at a yellow "Sprint Spark" screen. Tried a hard reset (a few times), no change.
I think I need to flash a stock rom, but I have no clue which one I should use (and am fearing breaking more stuff). At this point, I just want to get the phone usable .. probably as stock as possible for now. The phone is brand new, assuming 4.4.2? Not sure if there's a way to check exactly what it was running. Recovery says KOT49H.L720VPUFNAE
Any advice, is much appreciated

Maybe, but 250 pages is a lot to sort through (no offense). Does a stock rom (no root) even exist?

If root(SuperSu) is installed in system(most likely it is) it won't be gone when you do factory reset. And as long as you have TWRP recovery, you need only few clicks to get root.
I propably can't help you. But about my earlier post, make sure the changes you made to the "update-script" file are saved in zip. I once had same propblem and realized that changes weren't saved even though winrar said so.
