I think it's incomplete.
The Kernel Sources aren't there, I downloaded those files, no good.
i took a look at the source zip file (update3) and there is a folder named "kernel", so what's that ?
yes i've already build the kernel from that source but i couldn't combine it with ramdisk

how tough is it to build a kernel (boot.img), and how easy is it to build a rom once kernel is done ?

building a boot.img is not tough at all once you have your ZImage ready, but, with galaxy s5 i couldn't combine the ZImage with the ram disk using standard mkbootimg tools , what ever i do my device won't boot the image. i think that samsung changed the characteristics of the boot.img in galaxy s5, i can't make sure cause i'm not a developer i'm just geek so basically we need some developer to figure out what is the difference between the older boot.img and the s5 boot.img to build wour kernel
as for the rom thing, i don't know because i have never built a rom but i thing that cm roms are easy to build because the source is released :good:

if this rom has received approval from squadzone? because I've seen statements from squadzone that he did not give permission to anyone port this rom..correct me if i wrong.
One question - is the kernel ported too, or it uses some regular Ace kernel?

Presenting PAC ROM Porter
About the tool:
This tool can be used to port the great PAC ROMs from any device. It's based on the guide of rishab.raj37. Thank him too.
How to use:
Make sure you that both the ROMs(Base and PAC) have the same resolution. I recommend taking CM as base. Also make sure that the android versions of base and PAC ROM matches. Try to use port from a device of same manufacturer, though it may not matter much.
Steps-
1. Place base ROM zip in CM folder.
2. Place PAC ROM zip in PAC folder.
3. Now click on Main.bat the tool will do some steps.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Then it will zip the ROM, select name as desired and find your ROM in /PORT folder.
6. Congrats on your newly ported ROM.
Downloads:
Download the tool from here.

FAQs:
Q. Well I ported this accordingly but it's stuck in bootloop. How to solve it?
A. Use my bootloop remover tool from here.
Q. Why you recommend porting from same manufaturer?
A. Well you can port from others also but in some of them you might need some framework modding and also need to do some modding in kernel. But in most cases even from other manufacturers the ROM should work.
Q. How can I help?
A. Pressing THANKS button would be enough.

Are you adding your .ko's / drivers to the ramdisk? In your ramdisk you should have a system/lib/module directory, add them in there from your source (just do a search for *.ko in your kernel source directory) and move them over to the ramdisk and repack the boot.img

Is there a ro.securestorage=true in the build prop? I can't remember. Change it to false and reboot.
Also what changes are you making and what toolchain

Looks Awesome.... I will be happy to help you test / debug when you are to that point.
1st CM build is complete. Lets see if it boots
Better then I thought. It's stuck at the sammy splash screen, however the kernel seems to be loading up.
Its a good start!
no ETA..but T715 would be a nice addition (understand many hurdles ahead just on t710) thanks

I'm not sure if I will support the RIL variant simply because it uses RIL. That would meen more driver related stuff. And I can't debug that very well without owning the device.
Getting ADB in charging mode but not yet in splash screen
Nice to see you've started. I'll try to help with the T810 section.

Did you see this post? http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/exynos-5433-dtbtool-binary-t2940698
Hardware seem solid, EMUI sucks ass, would be nice to get a stock launcher on there backed into an optimized ROM
Yep, all the above, true, but because of the unique chipset, it's very hard to build ROMs...
Also, theres a Q&A thread, this topic should be over there, right mods?
There is already work in progress for cm12.1 by me, at moment i make a custom bootable boot.img, seems working on stock firmware but stuck after boot when say "android is upgrading"...
