Yes yes, but there is already a thread! German G3s got the update OTA today

Anyone notice week keyboard vibration after update?
Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

I notice no difference other than i now have my picture in the task-bar (maybe that was already there and i just didnt notice)
The messaging app still has a delay when opening a thread a phone with a 2.5ghz quad core CPU and 2GB(dependent on model) of ram shouldn't have a delay in i opening an sms app

Galaxy Note Firmware Update 101.48mb

HI im just downloading as im typing this Galaxy note unlocked UK Spec i did flash the Car phone WareHouse firmware last month is this ICS??? Any one else tried updating there Note today ???
Doubtful, think ICS will be a full wipe, probably around 500mb.
I went to see if there were any updates for mine on O2 and got really excited when a 2 part Samsung disclaimer came up... Then realised I had to refresh recently and this was the first time I'd done an ota search
Rest easy, it will come soon enough

It will just be the LC1/LB2 update. An ICS update would be significantly larger than ~100MB.
I just got the update last night and you are correct it is the LC1 update. Just wondering though would the change log be the same for this version as the roms? If not where could we find the change log ? The only real difference I've noticed is the S memo menu now has an option to only detect S pen input and the lock screen has changed slightly. Any other info would be greatly appreciated

Samsung doesn't release changelogs for firmware updates. If i am not mistaken, they released a powerpoint/pdf showing the touchwiz differences from GB to ICS for the galaxy S II.

only other notable (sorry!) change is the option for a "one-handed" portrait keyboard and removal of banding on black images (eg. lockscreen) which previously affected some devices.
Several folks have said that the s-pen accuracy is improved and the lag is decreased too. I think I've noticed that too - while I'm pretty sure the s-pen can now be much more accurately positioned on-screen, the lagginess improvement may be pure placebo (the phone UI is in general slightly more smooth after the update, and the brain does funny things sometimes).
Not they but t was done by sammobile site

ICS will be released through Kies and not OTA

Hi, I just updated my note with an ota update, but I dont see any difference or any new features. The update was about 77 megs in size.
Anyone knows what it was?
The build number is cmf1... where are you from? I haven't seen this build on Sammobile either.

I read about it....its still 4.1.2...but only n8000 got the june update
Dont know the changelog though

It will be the usual minor update that is pushed out from time to time .
Some say it precedes a major update .
jje
I don't know what it's supposed to do
But what it did do is add a bug where my device reboots every time I successfully pair a bluetooth device. The device is paired correctly, but my device reboots.
Other than that, it has also fixed a bug where a random app would open when I picked an app from the app picker (started with the two rectangle icon in the status bar), so I guess the two kind of even out.

802w dual sim

Hi everyone, sorry for opening a new thread, I was not sure where to put it.
Today I've played with one new HTC 802W (ONE DUAL SIM) in Hanoi, Vietnam.... and I noticed it has only 1.5GB of RAM So I am confused. Shouldn't it have 2 GB, or a little less? not 500 MB less. My friend on HTC ONE (single sim) has 1,7 GB available to use.
I benchmarked the phone, it is very close to Galaxy S4. Quality seems to be pretty good, so I don't think it is a fake.
Here are few images. does this phone look ok to you? Does it look like real HTC ?
It also says for camera "megapixel" instead of ultrapixel, but I suppose this is software error in the benchmark application.
Please help me.
It is ok. It is not fake.
Just do some ota update until it reach the latest os 4.21.1402.5 and it's benchmark will beyond s4
It will take some huge data plan.. Try to do it at high speed wifi connection.

I can't do that there... not comfortable to update phone at their shop lol.
will do that in my country when i am back. i will need to delete chinese stuff and put stock HTC firmware. This is solvable, right? I saw some buides here.
p.s. what do you say about RAM? Why only 1.5GB usable?
Thread closed,
Post could have been put in this thread as an example

Which version ? 16GB or 32GB ?
Just got it OTA Let's see if there are any changes I have the 32GB variant, unlocked European.
But hmm... at that size, I wonder what would be inside.
Update: Content inside is as the second screenshot says... Just "Google Patch"
I just wonder if it is for 16GB or 32GB.
Update that coming from OTA is for 32GB, but what about the KDZ file?
I just got it ota also ...so cool

OTA update is only 12 mb....
I think it's patch for RAM leak in Lollipop.

Why you think that? Do you see or feel any difference in that direction?
Greez Chris
As I know memory leak is a problem at 5.0.1 not 5.0.

I don' t have that update yet and I also don't have any problem with lagging. I'm just guessing based on "Google patch" and this bug.
anyone tried this on a 16gb?
LG need to make a big update with a major reworked app. So dissapointed with how the phone runs, it is slower than my Samsung GS3 which only had 1gb ram... Multitasking is dire and all animations on the phone are slow and glitchy

That's not true. You can't even compare SGS3 with G3. SGS3 is totally SLOW s*** !!!! I don't have any problem with G3.

Any Differences Between The Note 4's

Has anyone got the Snapdragon & the Exynos Note 4?
I wondered if there where any main differences?
Does the Exynos have 4g?
Which is better for music playback through earphones
Any other things?
I have the Snap dragon atm & was looking at an Exynos to go with it.
Exynos is 8 core version, and it does have 4g!

I got the N910C (Exynos) specifically because it has Wolfson DAC and the Snapdragon doesn't. Sounds great on my Sennheisers - so much so, I sold my treasured Sony Walkman
So what have you guys got on yours KK Or Lollipop?
Lollipop. Upgraded the day I bought it and never looked back. Did a factory reset before setting it all up, just to be on the safe side. Getting 6+ hours screen on time. Runs very smoothly - just minor lag when pressing the recent apps button, but that's rumored to be fixed in 5.1.1.

Cheers.
Does the Exynos get the updates same time as snapdragon or is it pot luck?
Sorry, not 100% sure of the answer to that, but I would expect there will be some difference as they are different internals/architectures. No idea which would get priority.

Ok Cheers,
I see you are running >>>Currently using: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910C), 5.0.1 BOC3<<<
How is it on Lollipop? Before I rooted my snapdragon N4 it was awful on LP.
As I said above, it's fine. I have had absolutely no problems, and can't think of anything to complain about. Haven't rooted, and haven't found anything I wanted to do that I couldn't. YMMV of course, and a lot can depend on what apps you have installed. I disabled a lot of the bloatware, like Facebook, Flipboard etc. I haven't found the need to use Power Saving mode yet, and run with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on all day.

Cheers Matey.
I've ordered one & hoping it's here tomorrow. Looking forward to it
I guess it's a bit greedy having 2 Note 4's but oh well. be nice to see if the differences in day to day usage.
Which countries stock rom do you use eg: DBT BTU?
Had a look on sammobile & cannot find UK BTU for the exynos.
Cheers
Mine is Hungarian, got it SIM free and unlocked from Handtec - don't think there is UK specific ROM for the N910C. However, mine works fine on EE 4G.

Cool. That's good to know. I have downloaded a Poland Rom, That should be ok, yes?
Ta
Yes, as far as I know - I have read of others using the Poland ROM. But you don't have to download a ROM, you should get the Lollipop update OTA or by plugging into Kies (or Smart Switch or whatever it's called now).
I'm running Lollipop since day one, everything running great, about a week ago I rooted, awesome. And just yesterday I flash the INFINITY ROM, and is faster than ever and battery is running 5 to 6 hours using the cellphone all day long
