Dont know if many of you guys knew, but the glow wired controllers from gamestop works fine with ics.. tried my microsoft xbox 360 controller and official sony controllers and no dice..plugged in this controller and worked instantly.. gta, shadowgun, emulators, onlive etc and they are only 30 bucks. hopes this helps a bunch of pissed people who couldnt use gamepads like me on their tabs.

If not could you post a link?
Thanks.
this ics release sounds more like a down upgrade.
No way I'm going to shell out more money when I already bought the Xbox controller just for the transformer (I don't even have a Xbox)
Yes that's it (second post) but I got the ps3 version don't know if it will make a difference.

I have no issues with my PS3 controller, once I connect the USB cord to the Dock and press the PS3 button.
However games like shadowgun play a little akward, so I setup custom keys using usb/bt joystick center. It takes a bit to configure everything, but once you do it works excellent.

Some apps like SNES9x allow scanning for a Wii controller via bluetooth. I just tried it with the Note and it works without a hitch. I believe all the NES.emu series of emulators on the play store work with the Wii controller this way.
I remember I had some lag with ShadowGun on my TF700.
I am convinced now that I made the right choice returning it for the Note.
Thank you for posting this.
anyone tired chainfire on the note yet?
I just tried a wired Xbox controller plugged into the Note 10.1 via a USB Adapter, with Dead Trigger, Didn't work, and i'm rooted , this combo worked well on my Prime and Infinity, I'm sure there's some kind of work around

Try getting the USB/BT joystick app, that will probably allow you to use it

For gaming the 7.7 is the one.
Just the right size and beautiful screen.
10.1 is big.

How did you get sixaxis to work, I installed the app, paired with my controller, but when I launch the game it doesn't work, anything special I need to do, I'm rooted of course, thanks
Just played Amazing Spiderman. My god it is so damn smooth! That's compared to both the prime and the infinity! Noblag, no glitch, just beautiful gaming.

I was just watching your youtube video showing off gaming on the 10.1. Will pretty much any FPS work on with the sixaxis and PS3 controller?

With a lot of games you have to map the keys yourself to get the game to work with the controller, no game loft games work without changing the key mapping.
You can find sixaxis maps scattered throughout Google but they're normally for phones but if you download the key maps for the games then go to preferences and change the background, after you've taken a screenshot of the game on the 10.1 you can reposition the keys to your screenshot.
Look for maps by searching for nova 3.map and so on, there's a whole post with maps for the galaxy s3 on xda, just reposition the keys to play on tablet

What controller to get? ?

Basically I wanna use Mupen64 to play old Mario games. (Maybe snes too)
What is the best least expensive controller? Preferably wireless, but if it's a lot cheaper then I could go with wired (usb otg).
Also do I need to buy sixaxis app to be able to use any controller?
And what about multiplayer? Would I be able to get 2 controllers and play multiplayer on mupen64?
Thanks

Gaming

Anybody use their note 3 to game on? I am looking for a decent rom/kernel combo for modern combat 4 using mhl and xbox 360 controller. Been trying roms but would like to know what other people use. It's more or less to show off the capabilities of this phone. Does not need to be battery friendly.
Basicly even the stock rom works for that you know. I use a ps3 controller to play games on my phone via mhl. My rom kernel combo is xnote/lean kernel tho.

Shield TV multiplayer with ps3 dualshock

Can the shield TV handle different controllers during multiplayer? I've read that it is possible using the same controller but it's the shield controller that causes problems... I was planning on getting a shield TV 2017 and using my ps3 dualshock for multiplayer...
I'm sure there will be app specific issues too. Planning to use it mainly on fpse. But if other games work with it, that would be better. I have never alone and badlands which I hear are nice for coop play
