I think Moto G (2013) has hidden FM recording function, which would be used for recording FM from phone and also used for recording calls without root using this module.
But I dont know how to do it, so I am attaching the screenshots and also the apks. Hope to see a developer come forward and help me out. The FM record service already has the permission to record audio from phone microphone, and I am not able to upload the odex file in here.
Not all the apps which can record audio can necessarily record radio or call either.
There are apps which can do those functions. Search google for whatever you want. Or try a custom ROM like Tesla v2.5 , it has those features but you'll lose the feeling and stability of a stock ROM.

Hello everybody, I have LG G2 D802 since many months and I love it, but I have the same issue as everyone about sound recorded is bad...
I have done some test with Xcam, and according to which audio source you selected, sound is way better next !
But if possible I'd like to have this better sound with 3rd apps, especially Snapchat.
So do you think it's possible to set voice recognition as default audio record for media instead of camcorder or mic ?
Or maybe if someone know how to see snapchat apk smali, and look for something as "MediaRecorder" or "SetAudioSource" and there might be 0x00000001 (mic source) set, and it would be nice to change it to 0x00000006 to set it as voice recognition.

I'm a new Moto user, coming from using Samsung phones exclusively. I was checking my list of things I'm missing from using my rooted Samsung phones that I've come to really depend on and what I can live without using my new MXPE. I'm really liking this phone so far but I do miss having native call recording on my Note 5 (which I sold). I'd rather not have to use a separate app for this, having it inside my phone's dialer like I had on my Note 5 was brilliant and extremely useful.
I'm unlocked, rooted and Xposed with GravityBox.
Is there an Xposed module that would work on this phone? Thanks for any assistance with this.
I use Drupe for a dialer replacement. Includes call blocking (missing on MXPE) call recording and quite a bit more.
Call Recorder by skvalex, along with AlsaMixer (ROOT) is what you'll want for a more seamless experience. Drupe is nice, but is a bit clunky for what you're looking to do. If you utilize AICP's Android N release, 11/28 is the most stable at the moment, you can get Call Blocking within it's Dialer. You do not need an xPosed module. Call Recorder will pop up a record bubble button you can move anywhere on your screen, and even set to only show during a call or auto-record, with cloud backup as well. It's a pretty nice setup if you need call recording.

I want to flash a rom which isnt based on Stock Samsung Roms.
I tried one Mic Gain Mod method but i didnt like it that much.

Or is there any better mic gain mod for our s5? I really need a good microphone sound and video recording sound quality, so its very important for me to have a nice configuration =)

Hi, I know some Samsung devices have a screen recorder installed by default, but that isn't the case for me. I've tried to port it with apks multiple times, and none of those times has it actually worked. When I use an app activity launcher to access the settings activity and the record one, it either doesn't do anything, or starts recording and then there's no way to stop it, and I find third party ones not as good, as they don't record sound unless I record external audio with the microphone, so I would be thankful to anyone who provides a non-root alternative/solution on Nougat, because it is a really useful feature to have, (that's why it is a standard feature in many phones)

I've tried multiple apps on the Play Store, but none of them are able to record audio from both sides. I figured since root was the only way out, if there was a ROM which offered Call recording in the system app, that would be better and much more stable. I haven't used the device in a while now, so it'd really help if someone who's still in the custom ROM scene could tell me which ROMs offer this feature in-built.
