When I'm on the phone and I listen to anything that has sound ( Instagram, Youtube, Pandora, Rhapsody, etc),the person on the other line can* hear every word* of the song or video. I did the OTA update to see if that would help and it's the same thing.*I don't recall the Note 3 doing this. Is anyone else experiencing* this problem ?
Considering the mic is less than an inch from the speaker, this doesn't surprise me.

Today I tried to use Google Talk and Google+ to video chat with a few different friends. The video was fine, but I could barely hear them at all. They could hear me fine, except my friend who also has a Nexus 4. I had the volume all the way up of course and it was pushing through the speakerphone speaker. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and tried Skype and the volume was just fine. So it seems to be only Google applications.
I did some research online and it looks like a lot of people have had similar issues but they're always on forums for a specific phone, so everyone thinks it's just their device.
Has anyone had the same issues with their Nexus 4 or a different device?
I have this too. Even with earphones in I can't hear the other person.
Hope they fix it.

Hi all,
I have recently noticed the issue above, really odd but the music, any videos etc play their audio through the phones earpiece at the top, rather than the speaker.
The phone is running paranoid android and it used to work perfectly fine. Just recently I noticed this is happening though.
It was like this earlier while I was using TuneIn to listen to the radio, I received a whatsapp message and that somehow triggered it to switch to the main speaker like it should, although the phone was on vibrate
Anyone have any ideas on this please?
Thanks!
When I bought the device 2,5 months ago I had no issues at all, but a few weeks ago I started noticing a lot of white noise when listening to music through the headphone jack on my Note 4, especially the right headphone. I have the feeling the issue started when I updated to NK4, but I'm not sure, so I don't want to downgrade just yet, since I have a lot of app data and it's quite a hassle to make a back up.
I was wondering if anyone else experiences this issue. I know it's present on some Nexus 5 and LG G3 devices as well. I have taken it to the Samsung store and they tried with their headphones as well and the issue persists. It gets even worse when I'm in the car using an aux cable to my car radio. Every time I accelerate or decelerate I hear a howling noise. Also when I'm just using the phone, not listening to any audio at all, all system sounds and notification sounds turned off, I often hear a clicking sound. At first I thought the back cover was a bit loose and made this sound, but it's actually coming from the speaker.
The issue is present in several apps: Youtube, TuneIn, MP3 Player and Google Play Music.
Is there anyone else who experiences such issues, because I'd rather not bring my phone in for repairs, as here in Holland that might take 2 to 6 weeks? And does anyone know if it is a software or a hardware issue, if anyone has found that downgrading might be a fix, I'd be happy to try that.
Hello
After couple friends told me they dont hear me well when i send audio notes in whatsapp i tried recording audio via another app, seems like results are the same. Comparing my friends audio message (send using galaxy nexus) to my note 4, his message is much clearer and louder. I have the F version, Stock rom and no root. Anyone else noticed this?
anyone?
This gets embarassing at work where music starts playing through loudspeaker of the phone suddenly. I am using Oneplus 5 in India, latest firmware with Altec Lansing MZW100 bluetooth headset. This happened while using Google Play Music, Skype and Whatsapp Video among others.
Has anyone else had the same problem? Maybe if it's a common problem, I can report this to Oneplus somehow.

I'm in the UK, not india, but i havn't noticed it - or at least if it has happened, it hasn't stopped playing through bluetooth if it has played on a speaker, and no one has screamed at me for playing my music on the bus!
