The I929 Galaxy S II Duosis built around a 4.52" WVGA Super AMOLED Plus screen and features a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU. Sir,
According to Specification, this phone works with CDMA2000. Can it work with WCDMA? Can I change the ROM so that it can be used with WCDMA?

No, it doesn't have a WCDMA radio (it seems) so there is nothing you can do.
If you want one with WCDMA (aka UMTS or HSUPA/HSDPA) go with the international i9100 if you want GMS/UMTS there is also the SGH-T989 which goes by the SGS2 name but has very different hardware Qualcomm vs samsung exynos.
Depends on which part of the world you live in.

that's correct it will work on wcdma only. In china, different telecom companies use different radios. China telecom uses CDMA 2000 while China Unicom uses WCDMA. China Mobile uses GSM only.
I ask my self why Samsung can't or whon't to release an I929 for europe with WCDMA and all that we need.
-why only for china????
Note 3 N9000 and N9005 are different equipments, so why they are not separated like others devices (S3, S4 and Note 2)?
This will avoid questions like: "Is this for N9000 variants or N9005?"
It's just my opinion...

The handset is same, the only difference is one is 3G while the other supports 4G and processor. All the other things including OS and other hardware is same, so there is not point in making it a different device? Besides you can't launch Note 3 and Note 4 on the same day

Exactly...
Other devices like the ones i mentioned have different threats so this one needs also...
Thread here basically is for N9005.
I do agree shall separate the N900/N9000 vs N9005.
N900/9000 - Exynos 5420, Mali T628, HSPA.
N9005 - Snapdragon 800, Adreno 330, LTE.
I don't want to start another thread just to ask this question, but more roms and kernels will be available on n9005 version, right? I have the option to go with either n900 and n9005. I know one has LTE and the other doesn't. All I'm worrying about is which version would have the most dev support?
Completely agree that they are different phones with different firmwares/software and better be separated...please.

I don't know now that the 900 seems to not have the knox issue.
But the source for the 9005 will be more open.

RoloRacer on Note3 N900A
Nope....
N9005 is LTE Snapdragon

Bootloader locks? KNOX? Region locks?
Where to find the answers please.
I bought this G900 electric blue from pricebreak on eBay, and later noticed that there's no such model, "G900". I got a G900H, which doesn't appear to support LTE.
1. How do I test for proper LTE support? In About device -> Status -> Mobile Network type: HSDPA.
2. Which S5s support LTE? Phonearena doesn't list the G900H at all.

T-Mobile uses the following bands primarly for their 3G HDPSA+ and 4GLTE network:
1700 MHz and 2100 MHz. AWS 700 MHz will be rolled out by end of this year.
These are the models currently available. I don't see yours on gsmarena, so I would be weary especially since its eBay.

In your case, based on the information provided, I recommend going for the G900T
Let me know if this helps.

Ok there were som discussion in the Snapdragon vs Exynos thread concerning this however since this is more of a new question or request for clarification and information Im posting here.
Im thinking of getting a korean version that has cat 6 support in modem and use in Europe because I think I prefer Exynos, not sure yet tho.
Atleast the European N910F in my area has CAT 6 support, maybe should get this with Snapdragon cant decide But say if I were to get the korean...
Already checked with my carrier and they said its not yet any real benefit from it today. Depends on when the mobile net is being expanded more. Some current networks that support 300mbit already exists tho, so it is only a matter on when they are implemented fully. And it would be nice to be more futureproof.
It seems all the korean bands are the same except for the 800mhz band which the korean lack support for according to Samsung korean Note site.
However when checking with my carrier they mainly use 2600mhz band for 4g which it has support for and they said it will be fine without 800mhz. And that LTE-A will probably use 1800mhz+2600mhz bands.
Not sure tho if the korean site lists spec in general or for their specific model.
It says korean version has 850mhz which is not used here. Wonder if this is changeable through software/firmware. Or if it is hardware locked.
Anyone know this or can clarify band support in the non-carrier specific models in korea?

I was actually analysing the E700H SoC it has Msm8916 and snapdragon 410 There is software limitation over this device which stops us from Using LTE bands .proof Is that I saw the Schematics they Show Band 1 3 5 8 20 40 on modem. we cant flash other variant baseband with odin.also I saw the NV memory values they Are there for band 3 8 and 40. How can we unlock Those.help needed. One thing is clear that this Soc Has LTE. Let us do away with this disablity.
