[Q] LG G3 features on Nexus 4 ? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi !
I'm very interest by some features of the G3: the dual window (OmniRom dosen't support it anymore i think and i can't use Xposed because i use ART!) and the LG Voice Mate app.
Is it possible to get this on my Nexus 4 ? This would be awesome !!
Thanks.

can anyone port bigger screen and bigger battery for nexus 4 from the LG G3 pweazeeee

[Q] Will swipe to wake be available?

Hey guys,
I'm interested in buying a new smartphone for my sister. The trick is that she's handicapped, so one major requirement is either a swipe to wake, or a front home button (like the Galaxy S series has).
I saw that the Galaxy Nexus has the s2w feature and am planning to buy that for her (and install a kernel that has support for PGM Nexus), but was wondering if the LG Nexus 4 might have this feature in the see-able feature (a few weeks from now)?
Thanks in advance
PGM Nexus developer would make it for Nexus 4 if he had the device so lets hope he gets one

Doesn't look like any sweep/swipe 2 wake kernel is out yet for the Nexus 4 though

Sold my G2. come back or not ?

hi everyone I sold my G2 to my friend cuz I wanted the white color. I'm thinking now of getting another phone not the white G2 but it seems that G2 is the best out there. I was thinking about the Gflex ? what do you think about this ? even with the new HTC and S5 and the Z2 I think G2 still the best. should I try the G flex or just get the white G2 ?
I would go with the nexus 5 its a nice phone i like the g2 but it is to locked down compared to the nexus 5

I tried the nexus 5. the battery life is very bad compering to the G2 also G2 has a bigger screen and much better camera
It's really a matter of size. The flex is bigger...but so it's the battery. I don't want another phone until they give me more in the same form factor.

I asked about that it does have less battery life but it is a much smaller battery I'm going to get a nexus 5 but get a case that charges the nexus 5

had G2, swapped for Z1, straight back to G2.
G2 pros:
slim bezels
good camera features
Great ROM support
Back buttons.
Cons:
camera not the best 13 megapixel shooter
plastic
LG slow with updates
You decide if it's worth it

Sell Nexus 5 and buy Galaxy S5 ?

I haven't had a chance to play with a demo version of S5. I did play with M8 and it appears to be as quick and fluid as Nexus 5.
Can anyone tell whether Samsung's TouchWiz runs as smoothly as Nexus 5 ?
Is it worth a switch ?
Hope this will help :

G3 or note 3

Honest opinion from everyday users please

I switched to G3 from note 3.
I wanted to have a better camera. Also, note 3 was slightly oversized for me.
I'm happy with G3, but I wish the battery lasts slightly longer.

i have bean fan of samsung long time a have use a galaxy s1 vibran, s2 t989. note 1 n7000,s3 i9300, s4 i9500 and i9505(poor phone compare to i9500) and n9005 a will say that all this phone was good (just poor i9505), but now a have the lg g3 a could say that and this device remain me of samsung but with a loot improvment battery is soo good 7h screen on, the display for movie is gorgeus ( a dont say thart amoled is not good its superb) but its 1440, the camera is much better on d855 compare to samsung, but like samsung and lg has lag on its launcher , but with nova or apex its samething new(better) etc, and buy the way no a hate knox and region lock sorry for bad english
G3 all day
I have the both phones at the moment.
Plus for LG G3 :
Camera (focus + OIS)
Display (QHD resolution)
Knock Code
Size (more confortable to keep in hand)
Minus for LG G3:
Laggy User Interface (software)
Note 3 + :
Samsung User Interface
Stylus
Battery (i had more run time on samsung than on lg)
Note 3 - :
Size , hard to operate with one hand
camera (low light, sh*t pictures)
In my opinion LG G3 is more powerful.. all is needed is a custom rom..then i will definetly enjoy it !
I've been wondering if I should return my G3 and stick with the Note 3, so I made a bit of a checklist of sorts.
Note 3
Save SMS

G3

I too switched to G3 from note 3. I´m very disapointed with G3. My note 3 was wayyyy better than the G3, except for the camera...
G3 perfect mobile for looks and performance while note 3 is oversized brick looks so awkward when u hold it

New phone? Substituting G2

Well after 4 years, I find strange that I am still running g2 . Is anyone considering changing this phone?
LG g2 remains my phone standard, so if I change, I will be looking for these specs :
5.2 inch or 5.5 screen size in similar dimensions as g2
Battery over 3000 mah
Sdcard (the Feature I miss the most on g2)
Better camera.
Good development support as G2 had in xda
Budget around 300 usd.
Strange to open such discussion, but let's see if our g2 could still resist another year on not, based on the above requirements.
Any idea? Xiaomi a1 for example?

My suggestion would be to buy flagship phones from like 2 years ago since they should be around that budget price by now. It's better then buying a new budget phone for example around that price.

Lg g2 is still better than most of mid-range phones; except front camera quality, fingerprint sensor and software. So since I have limited budget, I have no plans to buy a new phone.
I've owned these phones: Nexus 5, LG G3, LG G4, Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6. I prefer the G2, still have the S7 but never using it. Camera on S7 blows the G2 away of course but that's the only thing I like about it. Loved the Nexus 5 but battery and camera are better on G2 and I missed the rear keys on G2. For now I'm still happy with G2.
