Hi All,
I have a Motorola DEFY and i added custom ROM 7, 9 (Ginger bird, Jelly bean) and then restored it back to factory ROM with the help of some online forums and the phone worked perfect. Now, I am facing a weird problem. I am unable to make outgoing calls, when 3G data is enabled. If i try making 10 calls, any one of the call will get connected and other calls just ends with a message "Call Ended". I tried my sim card with other mobiles and it works perfect.
I flashed my mobile with the authorized service center and no use same problem. Can someone help me to fix this?
Note: I am very new to this and sorry if I have used any wrong technical terms.
Try to flash a stock ROM (sbf) according to your device (green or red lens) after you make a factory reset.
I recently try to flash golden eye (tmobile) rom to my samsung galaxy s4.
I used this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2363523
however once i finish flashing the rom I realize my internet connection kept dropping so I try calling tmobile to make sure if that area had coverage. Well there came another problem...I could not make calls not even to customer service. Then my brother told me he was calling me and it kept going to voicemail.
So I used clockwork mod recovery to install goldeneye.
After this issue I used odin to install the stock firmware and then I re rooted the phone to install triangle away and delete my counter and repeated the process by using odin to install stock firmware to unroot my phone.
And I am still having the problem of not being able to make or receive calls and worse my internet connection drops. :crying::crying::crying::crying:
How can I fix this problem the phone load regular just my connections to my network is not there
OK so I have this phone I rooted it and backed it up with the stock ROM before playing with it and trying a few custom ROMs some problems occurred with marketing calls so I just was going to revert to stock however my back up wouldn't work for some reason and I got stuck on a loop so I tried another that I made with the Liqiud smooth ROM and it worked but now my phone number is all zeros with a fee numbers at the end I can't make calls or text or get data and I've come to the conclusion that my imei is wrong somehow. I've searched and searched end can't find a fix can someone please point me in the right direction so I can fix this thing
I tried everything I could before coming here.
Today, phone was working fine. Decide to root and install cyanogen. I used Odin and installed CWM. I then made a back up of my rom with CWM. I used a dual boot type thing to keep the stock rom along side cyanogen. After getting installing new rom and gapps I see my phone is roaming. I try calling *228 to activate it. I press 1 and they say my phone can't be activated at this time. I go back into my stock rom, and its still roaming. *228 does the same thing. I restore from my backup. Still roaming. I now have done a factory reset and still have the problem.
tl;dr I can't connect to my phone network.
This is a us cellular phone/network. I noticed when I call anyone including the *228 it says verizon wireless. I don't know if that means anything
I was on CyanogenMod 12.1 and everything was fine.
For work related reasons I had to temporarily switch back to touchwiz so I made a full nandroid backup with latest TWRP.
I factory reset the phone to get rid of everything but realised I forgot to do something so I flashed the backup back to the phone but it kept hanging at 99% for 15 minutes where it said "restoring modem".
I figured it was just some kind of glitch or bug so thought what the hell and pulled the battery and after starting the phone back up everything seemed fine untill I later found out I couldn't receive calls and text messages anymore.
I proceeded to flash official modem and bootloader through odin which was succesfull but I was still unable to receive calls and texts.
Thinking that just flashing the official firmware from samsung back to the phone would restore the ability to receive texts and phonecalls I proceeded. Did another factory reset because of bootloop.
Now I am on official firmware and everything works, but I'm still not able to receive calls and texts! I'm getting pretty desperate now so I hope someone knows a sollution!
EDIT: I just did a crosscheck and there is nothing wrong with the sim. Something in the phone is not right!
EDIT 2: Ok... so after the crosscheck and placing the sim back in the S5 suddenly everything works again... I'll just leave this here for the next one...
Can you check whether you still have your IMEI? It should be on Settings->About device->Status

Hey thanks for your reply! For some strange reason, after using my Sim in another phone and then switching back to the s5 everything worked fine again.
