Imperial ROM v11 - xposed installer won't install. - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've just updated my Imperial ROM to v11 and xposed installer is missing. I'm also not able to install it - got error "App not installed".
Logcat:
Trying to update system app code path from /data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer-1.apk to /data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer-2.apk
Package de.robv.android.xosed.installer signatures do not match the previously installed version; ignoring!
Package couldn't be installed in /data/app/de.robv.android.xposed.installer-2.apk

I've tried to navigate to that location in root explorer but there's no such thing there. Also tried to search through the all device in root explorer, but nothing related is shown (only a few xposed modules that I use). In root explorer I do have checked "show hidden files".
Any ideas?
I really really really don't want to do the wipe and I also really need xposed that works.

Install Method?
You tried to install xposed with recovery? (You need CWM or TWRP recovery)

I've tried to flash xposed framework by recovery but it says I got to install Xposed Installer apk first.

Wipe dalvik cache and retry the install of xposed installer

Used different way but problem solved. For anyone having that issue: flash xposed disabler using cwm and then reinstall xposed installer apk.

Am I the only one for whom root doesn't work in CM11?

CM11 doesn't seem to have root. I've flashed the latest nightly and for whatever reason, it just doesn't want to work right. Can't delete installed apps, can't remount, or anything...I can't be the only one can I?

Probably, the problem is the app you're trying to use...

Did you install a custom kernel after flashing the rom?

It's got to be a system thing, even adb won't remember when I authorize my computer....

Negative, stock kernel. Clean install...
My suggestion is to get the latest TWRP or CWM and factory reset, wipe system, and delvik cache. Then flash the rom again. It is possible you also have a corrupted download. Use an MD5 checker on the ZIP to make sure it isn't corrupted. If you don't want to start over you can also flash the auto root from chainfire from this link.
http://download.chainfire.eu/297/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-mako-occam-nexus4.zip
So I got around to it. Clean wipe, fresh from the start, install latest nightly of CM10, gapps, and no go. It says it's giving romtoolbox Pro permissions, but it can't delete anything. I authorize the computer to communicate through adb, and it forgets after a reboot...
The only thing is that I'm running Philz touch latest recovery...
Have you tried installing supersu? I found that a lot of apps have problems with the default super user.
I guess your /system doesn't have the right permissions. It's maybe set to read only.
IF not.. > Check your developer options and give root access to adb and apps

[Q] Getting "Could not extract" when installing Xposed Framework

Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy S4 (i9500). I installed Arrow ROM v14 on it.
I have root and everything works fine in terms of rooting.
I then tried to install the framework of Xposed by clicking the Install/Update and got this after confirming root access:
"SD card:/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files
Copying Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip...
Could not extract Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip"
I tried the following:
Installed Omega ROM where this problem did not appear. However, can't stay in that ROM because in that ROM my wifi and BT wont work (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53699322)
Flashed the same ROM again with full wipe including that Dalvik cache thing and same thing always happens.
Formatted my external SD card.
Did a factory reset, then full wipe including Dalvik cache and same thing happens.
Downloaded the apk manually (of the Xposed Installer) and installed both v32 once and v33 after - nothing changed the fact that it said the above message as soon as I click Install.
Thanks in advance.

Xposed

Any way to install xposed via Flash fire? If so, link? ?
Yeah. Get the latest zip from arter97's post as well as XposedInstaller.apk (the lollipop version!).
It's something like xposed-v5-krait-blahlblahblah.zip
Reboot into flashfire and flash it, but don't reboot yet! Using either the file manager + "run command" facility in flashfire or a shell via adb, do this:
create a directory /system/app/XposedInstaller with the mode 0755. Then use SafeStrap's file manager to copy XposedInstaller.apk into that directory and set the mode to 0644.
You're done. Reboot and you'll be fine. I'm going to create a zip that does this at some point. I don't know why no one else has.
Just did this myself, so far so good. Heres the exact steps.
Install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 (latest: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811)
Using Flashfire v21
Clear Cache
Backup Boot, Recovery, System, Data
Flash xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter97-V5-krait (latest: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463)

Flashing Open GApps with AROMA installer reboot.

So I always use Open GApps with AROMA installer as my GApps of choice since I can pick what I want to have installed. I'm using TWRP 3 but everytime I want to flash Open GApps with AROMA installer it will reboot back into the recovery. I have to tried installing a few times before it will install correctly. Does anyone know of a fix to this? :/ Other Open GApps works fine but I prefer the one with AROMA installer.
Tried it for the first time today (always used other packages before) but to me it's broken...It does the same as you on another device (S5)...I guess somewhere there must be a solution to this.
It is at this time not solved.
Have someone a idee?

Reroot your phone with kingoroot then transferall the zip files to to extSD card make sure u have extracted the twrp image file. Then download an app called Flashify from the play store . Open the app go to recovery choose file from the sd card i.e recovery.img and flash it . After this reboot ur phone in recovery mode follow the procedure of flashing files to install CM13 and Gapps
@Frappy @CyberHawk44 @LinoX this is a workaround that worked for me:
wipe cache/data etc..
flash your desired rom + Su/Xposed/etc..
wipe cache/dalvic cache
reboot into TWRP
then flash Aroma gapps
Give it a try it works
I know that all and have many try but I think I have found it. I must try it more...
Follow gapps on git hub having issue id : 503
TLDR; Just mount system folder also in twrp and then install gapps.
