My battery charging time has increased very much, it takes about 6 hours. But not always, some times it's normal. I wonder what could possibly make this problem.
I've tried to wipe through CWM, ive even changed few roms, but i still face the same problem.
Any idea?

■Install Galaxy Current Charging
■See the Average and Reference, they should not go below 1000.
■If they are, Change the data cable
■Callibrate Battery using an app or manually (charge-Complete discharge 0% - Charge - complete discharge- charge and use)
■If this doesnt help, Wipe data and see if something inproves.
Press Thanks if I helped

My Wildfiire battery doesnt last nearly as long as it did when I first got it.
I have had it with many custom ROM's and 2 RUU's to see if it could be the a software issue but they all do the same.
I have gotten a new battery but does the same.
The only thing is when I install and do all the wipes the battery cache doesnt seem to say its completed and its done that on all the rom's and ruu's.
I am using Rom manager with the lastest clockworkmod.
3G and wifi is always on and has always been that way auto sync is of.
Any ideas ppl?
Would love some help.
cheers
Wow nobody had this problem?
Not me certainly. Battery life actually seems better to me than when I got it, thanks to the CPU Clock setting apps and Custom ROMs.
i've had some problems as well, it stays at 100% for a LONG time and then drops drastically if I'm using mobile data. Try draining fully, boot into recovery and clear battery stats, and then charging full. then don't charge again until dead, after which charge it till its full again. might help.

Actually, when the phone turns off on its own, it still has some juice left, should be more than enough to boot into recovery and clear stats.

Hey,
I have just recently noticed a weird problem on my Arc..
When the battery goes below 20% it shuts down (similar to the way how it would shut down when the battery is out).
Then I need to connect the charger and switch it on, after which the battery will show at 1% and in 5 mins it will change to 21-22%...
so basically below 20% the phone thinks its actually ran out of battery even though it hasnt and hence shuts down..
any ideas about what could be causing this? is it a problem with my phone or the battery?
thanks

Have you try to clear the battery stats?
You need to be rooted to do that (I hope everyone knows that )

First thing you need to have "root". If you don't haven't rooted, use GingerBreak to root. Search the forum for the thread.
Second install Battery Monitor Widget from Market. Open the application (This is a widget. So you may want to insert the widget in your home screen), press menu and click "Statistics" option and it will prompt you for confirmation. Once done reboot to make sure it's cleared properly (Not necessary, but recommended).
Hope this resolves your issue.

I had a similar problem with my arc after charging it for the first time (charged it till 100% with the phone turned on). Then, after I used the phone, when it reached 10%, it just shut down. Then I decided to charge it with the phone turned off and this really helped. After two full charging cycles, the battery is acting normal. Now my arc shuts down at 2% which I think is normal.
Clearing battery stats has worked so far...thanks a lot...

Great to know that. Thanks for the feedback.
Hi, i got my SII 2 weeks ago and the first ROM I flashed is Litening (I got a S1 before and always used custom ROM ^_^). No problem so far, just battery drain but I got same problem with my S1 before they released 2.3.4.
However I have a strange bahaviour with my batterrystats.bin : I plug then phone and let it charge over night, when I unplug it the file is automatically wiped (cheched size before and after unplugging, it goes from 70kb to 3kb !). All stats are cleared and I get new data. On the "old" S1 the stats were never wiped unless I chose to. Is it a bug of this ROM ? Of S2 ? Of my S2 ? Anyone got the same ?
Thanks !
I can't even locate my batterystats.bin file can u help me locate please

as im aware this is standard procedure on gingerbread? every time i charge the stats are wiped, was the same on my SGS once it got 2.3.x.
Humm as far as I remember, even with gingerbread, my SGS didn't clear the battery stats after charger disconnect. And if so, what's the point in battery calibration ? With stats cleared after each charging, I can't seem to understand what all these battery stats are for...
Hi look at this-im charging my battery whole night(tab is off),indicator shows 100%.then I turn it on and the tab shows is only 78% battery.sometimes its okey but lately is more often!ik wondering what can be the cause.im using my tab for about half a year and always take care of my battery so i dont think its a battery issue.have anyone got any idea?take care
I use a kernel with CWM, which have a option to reset battery stats but I neved have problems with CWM is in almost all the kernels.

I second that.
Have you tried it yet? Does it work for you?
I have seen some (slightly) weird behaviour on my Tab. When I charge to 100% (in off state) then turn tab on (with charger still plugged in) I only ever get to 99%.... I suspect my charger may not be quite 5v (or whatever) or the device drains enough charge / sucks enough juice to not let it ever get to 100% while turned on. Slightly weird... but of no real practical concern.
I noticed with my evo amd tab that if i leave them on the charger all night they drop percentahe very quickly like within a minute ill be down to 98%. I read somewhere to charge with unit on also. When i charge til they are full and pull them off they hold 100% for a while depending on usage.

Hi everybody !
I have a problem with my note 4 since few days, my battery indicator shows 40 or 20% of battery left but it shutdown itself and reboot.
After that, it shows 0% of battery left and have to plug my phone.
I already tried to wipe caches and battery status with a root app but it does nothing :roll eyes:
My phone have 535 cycles of charge, maybe my battery is already dead ?
For info: i am on Kyubi 2.2 rom, but i've noticed the problem on COI3 Stock/unrooted.
Does anyone have a solution for me? Thank you in advance :good:
No solution, but same problem on 5.0.1. Mine dies at 15%

Search first, there are several thread already discussing about this problem.
It's because of your battery has degraded through time.
My problem seems to be resolved for the moment, i don't think my battery is dead yet...
Battery is faulty, please replace.
