[Q] HD2 stuck on os instalation after replacing LCD - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello
First of all I want to apologize for my english and hd2 knowlage.
I bought HD2 one year ago. He had broken glass but he worked perfectly with android 4.1.
My friend from whom I bought phone teached me how to change ROM. I was playing with all androids and everythings worked fine. But when i once dropped my phone i had to raplace lcd. After that my HD2 was working fine for 3 days and suddenly turned off and after that It was only loading system 1,2,3,4,5,6 GO GO GO! and stucking at this. After little reaserche I was installing everything from begginig but with many problems. When I tried to install MAGLDR113_DAF program:
Readme.txt for this release is missing.
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (725)
Error Description: CONFIG: can't open config file
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (304)
But somehow on friends computer with every drivers I beat the problem. Then I stucked on:
"cedesmith's LK (CLK) v1.4.0.1
... ... ...
[2390] -- suspend --"
Since that moment I've working with S3, self rooting, changing roms and play till i broke the glass
Now I'm trying once again to revive HD2 but I forgoted all, and I need some help to give him third life.

Dear Friend ... Welcome to XDA & HD2 Forums ... Well , about your HD2 , I think it's better to use HD2Toolkit ( which has all the required tools ) which you can download it from here ... then try the Following instruction :
1- reboot into Bootloader ( tri-color screen , reached by : Power Off => Hold VolDown + Power on )
2- Do a Task 29 when connected HD2 to Computer ( Task 29 is in the HD2 Toolkit )
3- When Done the phone reboots so hold the Vol Down quickly to get to the Bootloader again
4- Install CLK ( Just Android - real android bootloader ) / MAGLDR ( Can boot both WPH and Android - Having the black screen and "123456 GO !GO!GO! ) choosing the "CLK repartition " / "MAGLDR Repartition " then choosing the "System Partition size" and "Cach size " ( which is provided in the Thread of the ROM you're planning to install for example for Typhoon CM7 , it's 200 MB System + 5 MB Cach )
5- If have CLK , then just select install when in the black screen with white text then install Recovery using the "CLK install recovery" and then reboot into recovery by power off then hold Power + Start then enjoy ! ... But if have MAGLDR , in the phone choose "USB Flasher " then in Computer install using "MAGLDR install Recovery " and then when rebooted choose "boot ad recovery" ...
6 - Install An Android ROM in CLK / MAGLDR using the Recovery or install WinPhone ROM using the "USB flasher " in MAGLDR
7- Enjoy ... ( The hardest  ) ... Good Luck
With Best Wishes

Dear Hitman1376
Thank You for Your quick anserw, but I still have some problems with my phone.
When I'm trying to Install recovery there is a error with Connection, both in cLK and MAGLDR.
Freezes at "<waiting for device>" while installing cLK Rocorvery and "Pushing Image Flasher" in MAGLDR.
Same thing as half year earlier.
And i can't do nothing, i tried for many times. Do anyone know what could be the cause and how to fix it?

So , Try installing the Android ADB + Qualcom Drivers to get them to work ... ( it's better to try in Win XP )

So It should be from the NAND bad blocks ... so try CLK or BLK which are more usable in these situations ...

CLK doesn't work neither.

It might be that you have a bad block in your recovery area of nand, try increasing the size of your recovery partition by 1 or 2 mb and see if recovery boots. Assuming that you can get CLK or magldr to boot, which i think you are able to.

Radio and Rom flashing problem

Before I get started, I've flashed 4 different roms onto my phone before along with flashing the radio and installing Magldr, so I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong this time around
On my phone right now - MAGLDR 1.13
Radio is SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE CotullaHSPL
I've also got ClockworkMod v1.3 installed
No ROM? My phone isn't booting into anything right now
Alright, I've set my phone into the bootloader, got an active connection and ran the CustomRUU.exe for both radio version 2.15 and 2.14.50 and for some reason, when completed it doesn't seem to have updated my radio. The program finishes and completes with no errors, but when I go to check in the tricolor bootloader, it's still version 2.08?
My ultimate goal is to get this ROM installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917590 CleanDROID v2.51 - Froyo+CM
Now it says to update my radio to at least 2.12 but I don't know why it's not updating? And because of this, I cannot seem to flash the rom. When flashing the ROM, i am approached with this error:
Happen error
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (712)
Error Description: CONFIG: file not exist
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (346)
I have no idea what's going on or what I should do. I don't exactly see what I'm doing wrong or what steps are missing. I've never had so much of a hassle with rom and radio flashing before, it's aggravating me and I must figure it out lol!
Thanks in advance for all the help

Firstly despite being on d right path, u've got ur info slightly wrong.
"SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE CotullaHSPL" is ur installed HSPL & NOT ur radio version...Assuming u were still running WInMo, u would have noticed d change in radios u flashed at the bottom of the TMobile boot-up screen...Rest assured there r no major problems here cuz it appears u've already installed d radio...
***You've Performed HSPL and installed MAGLDR 1.13....so Good.
***You also performed a CWM install but the ROM thread u posted is not a CWM build....Meaning it's a DFT build and does't need CWM installed.
Nw here's what u'll do.
>>Since a 2.12.50.xx radio is recommended by the rom dev...Flash it normally (thru bootloader mode) if u haven't already....hweva check out my signature for the radio i'm using and where 2 get it.
>>Reboot ur device into MAGLDR by pressing down the power button when starting up.
>>Scroll down & select USB flasher
>>Connect phone to PC with USB cable (allow it to install drivers if necessary)
>>Then flash the ROM with the supplied DFT flasher (DAF.exe present in the downloaded folder).
>>Sit back n relax.
*** Its that simple.***
P.S. Flashing a dft build will remove ur cwm installation...its a known fact dat both cannot co-exist.
I installed CWm because I was planning on flashing this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
But I gave up because I kept on getting the following error as well:
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (712)
Error Description: CONFIG: file not exist
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (346)

Same numbers and text
How can I check what radio I've flashed? Also, I don't think i have WinMo installed anymore as my phone just boots straight to MAGLDR after failing to load a android nand (but how can it when none is installed lol).
Since I've gone through the CustomRUU.exe for both 2.14 and 2.15, do I already have the radio flashed? Nothing went wrong and the process was completed
I've already done everything you posted before my original post, I just on getting those .RSPL errors.

Hmmm...Try this then.
Perform a Task29.
Flash a 2.15.50.14 radio.
Install MAGLDR 1.13.
Install CWM...(If needed & Paying attention to which particular clockwork partitioning system will work for you desired build).
Re-download the android build..(cuz i think some files might ave messed up while downloading).
Find an alternative means (e.g. thru sd card readers / thru CWM's mount storage system) to transfer the zipped build to ur memory card...Avoid using MAGLDR's inbuilt usb mass storage utility as its been reported 2 have a few issues during transfers.
If u also have a TMobile HD2, u might be interested in d build i'm currently running..It supports CWM n flashing it and or updates ave never given me issues.

[Q] Change win 6.5 to android 4.0 sandwich problems with magdlr

Hi , i'm new in this Forum and can't find a working answer for my Problem , so i open a new thread.
I have "htc hd 2" and i used windows mobile 6.5 till yesterday. Then i had the wich to change to an android system cause i like the style and ts3 app, whatsapp, etc.
So i read some guides how to run android on my phone.
First i tryed to run "Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich" i put it on my sd card and started the haret.exe the first 3 time is started the exe , my phone shut down and restarted with no comment , the fourth try the android system started and i was able to use it as a normal system. I thought now my handy is android, but when i started it again today there was the normal windows system. So i read more guides , how to boot from my sd card.
in the following i got some programms and installed it as the guide said.
First i installed "HardSPL 2.08"
as second "2.15.50.14 Radio"
till here everything worked well without errors but then i should install
"MAGLDR 1.13" , installation goes on 100% then finish , but i can not open magdlr, everyone says "press the power button until magdlr opens" but i press it 5 minutes long and just hang on the white screen with the green htc letters. i can do nothing , i tryed reinstallation and nothjing happens , and the other problem is, that i cant put any roms on my sd card , cause the pc doesn't find the phone and so i cant open the card.
If you have tips for me or questions, just post it i try to answer as fast as possible , i need my phone

EDIT: Okay, i got the htc hd 2 rom from htc.com , and will install it now , to recover my phone , then i will try the android upgrade again ... hmm , any tips ?! i want the same android that i used yesterday ^^
EDIT -2: I installed the NAND toolkit , where i found the task29 ^^ and a guide how to install android 4.0 sandwich , lets see if it works
I've written a guide that will help you through these processes. The link is in my signature if you're interested.

Nice guide, but the "download drivers" button in the toolkit directs me to "megaupload.com" and this site is seized by an U.S. court...
is there another way to get these drivers ?
edit: And another thing is , you want me to install hspl 2.08 but i already have 3.03. .... what to do ?
edit , second: Now CLK is installed it worked with hspl 3.03 , now i the blackscreen from clk 1.4.0.1
it says:
[2460] ptn 0 name=..........
[2460] ptn 1 name=..........
[2460] ptn 2 name=..........
[2460] ptn 3 name=..........
[2460] ptn 4 name=..........

[2650] -- portchange --
[2680] -- reset --
[2680] -- portchange --
[2770] STALL GET_DESCRIPTOR 128 6 1006 0 18
The last line should be "Fastboot: Processing Commands" but i cant get the drivers from the toolkit , because the linked site is off
EDIT third:
I found via google.de the driver package and got it installed , now i have the line :
[1501490] fastboot: processing commands
[1504220] STALL GET_DESCRIPTOR 128 6 3840 0 244
I will go one following the guide at step 14.
New Problem in step 19:
when my hd2 reboots , it doesnt switch to CWM recovery if i hold the home button pressed, it start clk again, Whats now ?
LOL , i pressed the false button Sooo lets go on
The first guide was succesfull , CWM installed
So i go one with the second guide , step 1 - step 14 without problems , but after my rom was installed and i press in step 15 "reboot system now" it reboots but it starts clk ?! and stops there i think ...
Any tips ?!
I reinstalled my rom.zip , it was successfull , but again when i pressed "reboot system now" it shut down , and when it turns on it shos for a few second the white screen with green htc letters and changes to the CLK window
i think i'm so close to have android on this phone .... PLEASE HELP !
I will look to see if I still have the drivers on my computer and can upload them since megaupload is shut down. As for now, just scroll down to post 3 and install clk 1.5, its by far the easiest. Put on SD card and hold volume down + end key and then Viola done! I have an almost complete magldr guide on my website as well.

I bet you didn't flash a clk kernel!. download the proper clk kernel for rom
ok so you have hspl 2.08, radio 2.15.50.14, you task 29 the phone, installed clk thru the toolkit, repartitioned it to the proper partition size for the rom, (ics is about 200-220mb with 5mb cache) installed clockworkmod recovery , before you flash your rom check the md5 checksum to make sure you have a good downloaded rom, if you don't have android sdk/adb installed on your pc, redownload your rom just to be safe. once you boot into clockworkmod recovery, choose install from sd, choose from sd, and select zip, after flashing rom, flash your clk kernel zip, once is done youll reboot system now and shouldn't see clk when booting up.

Make sure you're installing a clk rom. Some clk roms are completely clk, like you flash it and your done. But others are magldr roms and a clk patch (usually called kernal) in this case you flash Tom then flash patch then reboot

The site where i got this android rom is for both clg and magldr , i got both the rom and the kernel , and put both on sd card , with cwm and installed both then reboot , but again i stay in this clk window and nothing happens

[Q] Im stuck. White screen

Ok. I have a HTC HD2 t-mobile. Someone gave it to me to see if I can fix it. So I have NO clue how it got to the point it is at now. All I know is that you power on and its a white screen. No HTC logo. Just white.
Enter boot loader: Red/Green/Blue/Black/White.... Its says:
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.10.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
SERIAL
Thats it. It doesnt connect to the computer.
What can I do? I tried:
CLEAN INSTALL
It’s a pretty long process, however, it takes a shorter time than the Installation of NAND Android. It takes me about 15minutes. It should take you about half an hour but no more than half an hour.

I can not flash any other ROMS because I can not install HSLP.... I can connect via USB. But Windows Mobile Device center does not acknowledge the phone. I have ran the Task29... well tried... it says image is corrupted. I have even stuck the dang thing in the freezer like I have seen in random posts. Nothing but a really cold phone.
When I try and install HSPL3 I get an option to choose 2.08.HSPL or 2.08.0000 I have tried both. I get the critical error... Error code 16 description unknown.
I have tried following every set of directions I can locate in xda... Nothing has worked at all.

Hi to the experts!
I have a very similar problem, maybe "almost" identical...
My HD2 (Australian Telstra, stock in almost every way), and it has been reliable for 2 years from new.
Then last Saturday night it started "failing to load HTC Sense", but all the WinMo 6.5 stuff was still fine. This lasted for 2 days and I thought it was stable like this so I would have time to look for a new phone, but last night I turned it off and on again, and all I have is the white screen. Mine has the green htc on it, but the only way to make it go away is to take out the battery.
I tried the volume down / power ON and I get the RGB+W screen, and when I plugged it in via USB to my new laptop it loaded drivers and initiated Windows mobile device center - but it won't recognise that there is a device there.
Now my very strong desire is to somehow boot it to allow recovery of my contacts directory - I have just started a new job and have probably 40 or so new people in there since my last backup.
What are my options? Is there anyway to boot from SD card without erasing the whole of system memory??
Failing that, how do I flash back to stock?
thanks (in hope)
..Neil
Stock WM
Try installing stock WM 6.5. There are many links available for the same, google it.
Do this without the memory card.
Enter Bootloader by pressing volume down and power on button together.
Then run the WM ROM file on your computer. You must see the progress bar on your phone. Let it settle down.
Hope that helps..!!

New to XDA, HTC HD2 to win 7 OS failed! Stuck on HTC with white screen!

Hi,
So I'm trying to put win phone 7 on a HTC HD 2, it was a Telstra one, so I read someone about the .txt version skip trick, and I did that(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=704174). So then I was able to flash the ROM to:
PB81110 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotulullaHSPL0x30
So I thought after that I should be able to put the new software on it right? The new OS? Windows 7?
So I tried to run DFT Leo [DWI100] (From this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078 )to put the windows 7 on it, but it didn't work.. becuse I can't get the phone to boot past the HTC logo white screen, it just stays there..
I can get it into the red green blue white boot screen though, and it shows that rom I posted above.
So what can I try next?
Any help would be so badly appreciated!!

Hi,
I downloaded and installed this but it still won't get past the HTC logo with the white background.. Is there anything else I can try>? Am I supposed to do something else after I've installed MAGLDR? I've tried V11 and V13 neither get the phone to boot..
Am I supposed to upload the software now? The WIndows 7 software? While it is in boot mode?
I don't think MAGLDR is working because it still says "SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE" Cotulla HSPL?
HSPL is OK... this always show in bootloader screen....
you doing something wrong.... after flashing magldr, phone must boot automatically to magldr menu
lets do all simple from beginning:
use this tool and do this steps:
http://www.wupload.com/file/2649664707/HD2ToolKit4.2.0.1.zip
1. Task29
2. Install Magldr
3. When boot to magldr menu, go to:
* 10. Services, 4. UseLast24NAND
* 10. Services, 5. ClearSD MDR
* go to 5. USB Flasher and run DWI.exe to flash ROM

Hi,
Thanks for that, I was just about to post, I've managed to get it to go to Magldr, which is good, I just had to do the update to 2.15 something, and then Magldr just worked?! Cool. But Still have a problem. When I'm in magldr I can't get the windows 7 to install still. It keeps saying :
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (1198)
Error Description: EnterBootloader missing
Info: .\RSPL\BootLoader.cpp (176)
If I run in compatibility mode, I only get this error, it says "wating for usb connection" for ages, then says:
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (1198)
...
I'm using win 8.. but on win 7 I think I got the same error.. maybe I should try a different HD20 version. ?
did you do this?
* 10. Services, 4. UseLast24NAND
OK,
Scatch all that! I think it was win 8 that I couldn't connect to the phone.. I did it on win 7 and it all seemed to work.. only now it keeps going to aMAGLDR .. first it says "loading wph" then goes straight back to magldr..
maybe missing WMDC in Win8 for USB drivers?

That's OK I don't really mind because like I said I used win 7 instead and it seemed to work, it seemed to install windows phone 7, but now I can't get out of MAGLDR?

you dont have installed system and that reason why magldr booting....
if you flashed WP7 maybe you changed settings for booting....
check this:
10. Services, 1. BootSettings, 1. Boot source, 3. WPH from NAND

Yeah ok there is no WPH setting there... but it's strange it says " booting wph" but then goes to magldr..
I will try a differnt wp7 version.. Do I have to have a micro SD card in the phone?
Ok just tried again.. same thing.. what am I doing wrong? These are my exact steps:
Turn phone on.
Phone boots to MAGLDR.
Go to 8.Services.
Go to 4.Uselast24rand. (I even tried skipping this step still doesn't work..)
Select the "phone button" on the left.
Go to 4. USB Flasher.
Connect phone to PC.
Start the Windows 7 phone software, it detects OK and then proceeds to install the software. Lots of writing on the phone about partitions etc, progress bar takes maybe 3 minutes to complete. It says success! And then reboots.
It says "booting WPH"- Then just goes back to the MAGLDR screen..
yes you must have sd card in phone.... sd card is memory but first time hear to boot to magldr when booting WP7....
Ok all fixed! All I had to do was update the MAGLDR to 11.3 and boom it started booting! Thanks for everyones help!
Cheers, now I will sit back and set it up! I will try to get that version that apparently works with updates?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236027
But the Rom download link is broken but now that I know how to do it wohoo! I've got a bunch of crappy HD touch's at work that I will try and fix to android now too, but they are pretty bad..
Damm! This thing is like a new phone!!! Totally an ebay bargain at $200!! Just stick wp7 on it and you're laughing! Now just gotta get me a marketplace thingy..
Yuki ROM lock sdcars, dont forget this... other ROM's not...

[Q] Help Needed: HD2 stuck after install MAGLDR

Hey all,
Firstly, I know there are many similar threads posted here, but none of them actually gave a solution to a problem I have.
What I did: tried to eventually put WP 7.8 using Pdaimatejam's ROM.
*My HD2 runned on WM 6.5 and was completely original
I followed all steps in chronological order:
-Installed HSPL 2.08.HSPL - Succeeded
-Installed MAGLDR - Says it succeeded
NOW, it rebooted itself, since then it always freezed at the White HTC LOGO screen.
By booting via the bootloader (Volume down+Powerbutton) I get the following information:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
I still see Serial at the bottom. When Plugging in USB it shows that it's connected with USB.
Important:
I have tried to install MAGLDR again: Same result. It says it succeeded, but is stuck after booting.
I have NEVER seen the MAGLDR bootup (The black list)
I have NOT put an SD-card when doing this all (Maybe that's the problem)
I also have NOT done anything with the Radio, because I diidn't know exactly what it is and I didn't think it was necesserily.
Any help would be very very very appreciated.

You can't just skip steps and expect everything to work properly. Flash radio 2.15.50.14, then I think you should be fine. Also, how are you planning on running WP7 without an SD card? Buy one or if you have one (which you should) put it in the phone. Flashing HSPL, MAGLDR, the radio etc. won't interfere with your SD or SIM card.
sdcard is WP7 main memory... you must have SDcard during flashing process in phone...

I'll put an 2GB SD card in my HD2. Can I now Flash my phone with Radio 2.15.50.14 and will my problem be solved now?
Or should I first Flash Radio, then HSPL again and then MAGLDR again?
Thanks for your response by the way.

is not important when you flash radio... just flash it...
I think radio then MAGLDR. You don't need to reflash HSPL though.
Thanks all for helping me out, still have to search for the 2GB sd card... I'll tell you guys Monday if it worked.
Hey all,
Thanks for all your help! I'm stuck again though..
I've put an 4gb sd card into my HD2 and have flashed my phone with
the radio (Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14)
After flashing, I didn't got the MAGLDR bootloader, so I (like Nigeldg said) flashed my phone with
MAGLDR afterwards.
After that It worked and now I'm able to enter the MAGLDR bootloader with no problems.
Entered USB Flasher and:
put a WP7 (although, that's what I thought) ROM on my phone...
The name of the file is ( 3_HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.8 OS 7.10.8835.35 v8.5 )
After installation however the installation program gave me 3 errors:
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: send d000ff partition data failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (1279)
Error Description: block send fail
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (962)
Error Description: Block is after end.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (704)
I AM able to boot my HD2 and Windows 8 (surprisingly 8) booted normally, untill it said that it doesn't recognise my sd card. Only
option is to shut down my HD2.
I'm now thinking to put another ROM on it, I already installed on my pc only (3_HD2_20Pdaimatejam_20Rom_20Wp7.8_20OS_207.10.8858.136_20RMT_20v8.7) from Dxdy's links.
When I deleted my sd card from my HD2 and booted it, it still booted normally with the Windows 8 loading screen and the error about the sd.
I want to delete at first that ROM and put another one on it. How can I delete it? It is ( I think) not installed on the SD.

First you must go to Magldr to activate the last 24MB
>10 Services>4 UseLast24MB
If this doesn't help, you must use another SD-Card. WP doesnt like any type of card. I use a SanDisk Class 4 card whitch works fine. Search in the forums other persons experiences with SD-Cards. Changing the ROM won't help.

Hi all, not too hopeful for a reply since this thread is OLD.
I just got an HTC HD2 from my brother..its used etc. anyway.. it was running fine on winmo 6.5.
I decided to checkout online for tips on mods n getting it to look and run like a newer device? I thought id go for android ICS.
So, followed the steps and got the required items first. HSPL, Radio CUU and the HD2 toolkit that includes the magldr 1.13.
the first two flashes for hspl and rom were okay, however after flashing magldr, once the fone boots up in magldr mode, i could scroll up and down using the volume buttons but i cant SELECT anything, hence.. i cant get to the USB flasher mode to complete my 'quest'.
Has anyone experienced this or know why this happens? I am currently unable to use the fone.

Pal ... Maybe Your Phone has The Special pack That is Unable to use Magldr ...
I had the problem of White Screen after installing Magldr
I had the same problem of White Screen after installing Magldr. Turns out it was the radio so followed the instructions Here >>>> .addictivetips.com/mobile/install-2-15-50-14-radio-on-htc-hd2
<<<<
Once installed it rebooted into MAGLDR then i could install a ROM.
Love this site btw!
