charging problem

Today I had pluged my usb cable in my cell and when I unplug the cable my battery was 30% charged but as soon I unplug the usb cable i got battery low warning and suddenly my cell shutdown. When I start the cell it shows -1% battery and now if I chrage the battery from charger it wont showing charging (animated charging bar) but its actualy charging it very slowly but now if I again plug usb cable and unplug it the cell again shutdown instantly.
I have tried different pcs and cable but the problem still there. Should I hard reset it? I dont install new software or change any settings durring the day.
If there isn't any important data on the phone, yes , you can try the Hard reset, but most probably the cause for not charging, is something else and not the rom (OS),so Hard reseting will not boost up the charging. If the device is not charging ,its rather more of a Hardware issue than a Software. Try to charge with a Wall charger (Mains),if it charges normally, then the fault lies in the usb cable,it might be faulty or try with other usb input port on the pc,but if it still doesn't charge with the Wall charger, than most probably the mini usb port of the phone is faulty or damaged or it might be that the battery is giving upon you.Confirm and check all these options.
I have already tried the external (home) charger and different usb cable and pc.
I cant hardreset as the battery is lower then 50% charged.
Just for your knowledge that the active sync is working fine and ithink mini usb port is not totaly dead,
And the orange light on top is keep blinking when I have plugeed usb cable.
And battery status show +21mA and +68mW only. What it should be?
BTW battery status icon bar keep animating while I have pluged usb cable. does it mean its charging.
Also let you know that this morning my battery last to below 10% charged and after that the problem starts.
And after pluging usb cable for few minutes if i do softreset then after reboot the system shows few % battery charged ( around 10%) but its drains very fast (in 2-5 minutes).

Ah !
So it has gone below the retention charge, required to start the charging circuit ,thats why its not charging.
Now either try to charge with a wall charger capable of out put of 1.0 amp or you need to 'Jump' start the battery.
i dont understand can you explain it a bit more.
This it what he's trying to say:
The battery has a well-documented bug. If you drain it below a certain amount (around 5% IIRC) then it can ONLY be charged from a wall charger, regardless what else the phone says or does. Your symptoms are weirder than usual, but not too surprising.
Replacement batteries are cheap and readily available. Start shopping for a new one while you leave the phone on the wall charger for at least 6 hours, with the phone OFF. This is a last-ditch attempt to recover your battery. If it still misbehaves after that, it's probably toast.
Thanks for explanation.
does the usb cable hack work (connect the red and black cables to battery + and -)?

YUP !
Thats what is 'Jump' start. If the battery is only below the retention charge,it can be very easily recouped by this trick. If it works fine, otherwise get a new battery, many have recovered their batteries by Jump start.
Check out this link :-

thanks for the link.
OK jump start do the trick (charged the battery) but my phone is still draining the battery very quickly (around 1% a minute) and I havent check the home charger or usb cable charging.

ok,good if it has started to charge, now don't ever let it fall below atleast 30%,how did you charged it if not through home charger or usb cable, get the battery fully cgarged with home mains charger and then check the drainage of the battery.
Secondly, either the battery cells have gone weak and not retaining the charge for long or you are using GPRS more often, coz it drains the battery quite rapidly.it all depends on your usage.
I just charged the battery from naked usb cable and it charged it but the battery drainage problem still presist and if I charge the battery from usb or charger the os dosent shows it charging. I think i should look for new battery.
Can you explain me what kind of battery should i choose for wizard as here too many local batteries are available and I dont know about correct specs for battery like mah, mwh, volt, etc and kindly also let me know I also doubt on my home charger what kind of charger should I get (mah, mwh, volt, amp)?
BTW I dont fully charge (100%) the battery yet, do i still need a one full charge and I also dont shock the battery by 1amp charger aswell.

Yes ! you must first fully charge the battery and than check the drainage.
Secondly I can't recommend any specific battery, check the specifications on the battery and verify it.
If the home charger is doubtful, you shud get an original PDA phone charger capable of 1.00 amp out put.
ok I also don't able to installnew rom on it, its giving me erorr that phone is not connected to usb cable etc.
Now the active sync is not bieng connecting too and I think now my mini usb port is faulty is it repairable?

Yes it is repairable or replaceable for that you'll have to contact the cellular company from whom you bought the phone,if its still under warranty. Otherwise get it repaired from any mobile repair shop.

Hd Battery Charging between 60 to 70 %

Hi everyone,
I've a brand new touch Hd (november 2008). Few days ago I report a problem charging the battery with the stock charger. The charge doesn't stop (always amber light and no green light of completed charge) the battery percentage stuck between 60 to 70 %. Only with the stock adapter. If I charge battery with another adapter (example with an original Apple usb ipod charger, with same specs) or with usb cable connected on pc the charging stop correctly. Another fact if I connect stock charger to the phone when it was at 100% battery charge, it dosn't start charging and no amber/green light appear.
Any clues?
Thanks a lot a excuse my poor english

I think no because it charges the battery for the 60 % in my hd, and if I connect another device (an mp3 player or another phone) to the charger it charges correctly.

I wasn't impressed at all with my charger
after a while the usb socket didn't hold the cable tight so I had to wiggle the cable till it kicked in and started charging
changed to a usb socket-ed charger with the supplied cable
and now all's fine
Sounds very much like a bad charger.
I had this on a Tytn with the supplied charger. I had bought two extra ones for the office and the study and both of these were fine. It was too expensive to send the charger back for repair so I just stuffed it in the cupboard and used a USB charger.
Ok, thanks so much for replies. Now I'm thinking to sell my hd without the original charger.
Bye

Problem in Charging

I own a Gene now showing a weird problem, if i connect the charger then it the full charge green led will glow after sometime, but lose charge very fast. There is no problem if i used usb cable for charging. Is this a problem of charger or the charging port. The phone some times restarts when charged using charger.

Like that, a home charger, charging the 2. battery in the night and next day, when main battery finished, i can use other.
Or

I dont know, maybe it can hardm the software. I did this after minutes of showing "no charging", it stupidly started to charge. For 20 minutes, it is now around %8.
I think my cable has problem because when i move the cable, it disconnects. But my battery is not best i think. I wiped battery stats, fixed permissons. I dont know what to do now. I dont want to buy another battery but i dont know.
Update
I told i used my brother's usb cable and it charged until %8. Then i connnected my usb cable, it showed it was charhging but it was still %8 after 10 minutes so i took of, and then it showed %1. So i think my cable is broken? Now i am charging via ac but phone shows usb charging and it is still %2. Should i countinue or take off ?

Keep it on for atleast 20mins in USB w/o battery in. Then insert battery and charge for about 2 hrs w/o touching. It should be about 5%. Let it charge all night w/ AC.

Hello all, I'm having the same issue with an AT&T Impulse 4G, aka the wonderful Huawei U8800-51... This is running the stock AT&T OTA 2.2 froyo version, never been rooted or messed with.
It won't charge really at all, and I've tried a new battery also. It will boot and run OK when connected via USB, with no battery installed. I've only been able to get it to 12% battery, I did this since I wanted at least 10% charge to do an FDR. It won't last when charging on the AC, I've gotten the battery to around 5% on USB and then powered it off, then plugged it into the wall charger. I've tried both the Huawei OEM charger (1mA) and a replacement charger (650mA).
After a while of being plugged into the wall, the phone won't boot and the red LED just stays lit. I have to remove the battery and plug it in via USB to get it to boot again.
Is there anything in the OS that can go wrong and not let it charge the battery? (even though the screen shows the lightning bolt in the battery icon). I've gotten a battery monitor widget installed from Wifi. Other than that nothing has been installed whatsoever, it's FDR wiped, cleared cache, and the only other thing I've done is surfed the web a few times to verify connectivity after each FDR.
Or do I have a hardware problem? I've used different AC and USB cords, wiggled them a little bit in the port on the phone - it doesn't do anything and it's all the same - it just won't charge.
Or do I need to charge the battery externally somehow to some decent level and then throw it in the phone? Is there anything I can try to do from the basic OS or an app I can try to revive a battery (I have two) and get it to at least charge the battery fully just once so I can mess with it for more than a few minutes at a time?

I don't think the USB port itself is broken, since I don't lose/gain/drop any charge or data transfer by wiggling various cables that I've used.
When plugged into a computer via USB, I can see all the drives on the device fine, including the removable microSD card and I can access files on the microSD card just like any other USB device.
I measured the voltage at the - and + battery terminals on the phone, obviously without the battery installed, I get 0.60 VDC on USB and 0.81 VDC when plugged into several known-good wall chargers (including the OEM Huawei wall charger which says it's a 1 amp charger, and another generic microUSB wall charger which is labeled 650 mA).
So, I can't see how that would charge a 3.7 volt battery - it actually would be draining the battery like a vampire. This is why I think there's something wrong between the USB port and those battery terminals. But I just don't know if it's wiring/board stuff, or the stock Froyo somehow.
I also measured the two batteries I have.... one is at 2.97 VDC and the other at 3.06 VDC, so I assume those are flat dead basically. Both of them are basically brand new. The original battery was an AT&T replacement that my wife got just before she just bought an iphone instead, got sick of this thing.
I will try to get a battery calibration app when I get it back on wifi, it basically only works after I do an FDR and then put a battery in after having it already plugged into USB (otherwise, I get wifi "error"). But I'm really thinking I'm going to have to just disassemble this thing and see if anything is burned/broken/etc. Or does someone just want it on the cheap??

OK, so I bought an external wall charger that charges the battery separately from the phone (and it came with yet again another battery for $7). So I have now 3 good, full batteries.
I rooted it via SuperOneClick, and installed CWM, all thanks to the root guide here on XDA. (thanks!) Everything went fine and the device appeared to function correctly, although as I was doing all this, and setting the phone back up, the battery would go from 75-60-55-50-45-40% in a matter of minutes.
But once I got it done and rooted, I went and got the battery calibration app. Put in a fresh battery at 100& and wiped the stats (I've now done this several times). The battery definitely lasts a good bit longer, but still drops pretty quickly so I will try to find some new ROMs here shortly.
The only thing that is still very strange, is that if I shut the screen off or if it goes off on its own, it will not wake up.... I have to pull the battery and it works fine on reboot. Any ideas?

Long shot but verfiy that your battery pins are sitting correctly ie. that they are parallel with the back of the phone, they can get pushed outwards and cause issues such as yours.
Otherwise your usb port looks like it may be damaged!
Edit: get a wall charger and a few spare batteries on eBay for $10 , ...

thanks for the comments guys, I've checked the pins, they're ok, but the usb conector not yet... the thing is this: I've got a battery charger and a new batterys so I can turn on the phone (until now is the only way) and then when the system is fully loaded the battery % shows 93 at max (24 hours chargin) yesterday, I noticed that it was discharging a little too fast... 4 hours aprox from 93 to 11 % ... so I restarted the phone, and magically it showed 53% of battery... so I think the problem might be software/firmware, that's the reason I mentioned the change of radio version

well i try to charge my phone with small solar panel , the phone appear like charging (light on) , but it was`t , and the reason was that the small solar panel produce 4 volt and very low mile ampere (mA) , so maybe the problem with the charger (try to change it or charge through usb cable to laptop )
