My W3-810 has problem when update .
I received a message :" Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer"
Google and then i realized i need to recovery it by DVD
But i don't have USB DVD Rom so that i format my 4gb USB with Windows8.1 ISO by Refus program to make UEFI bootable USB .
But when i plugged my usb into the tablet, in BIOS mode, Boot settings, i can't see the name of this usb, it just "USB HDD: " " .
Anyone can help ? i don't have enough money to buy USB DVD rom so don't answer with that.
Can i borrow a 16gb USB to copy from DVD recovery and boot it ?

I'm trying to recover aaquasesh's instructions, but whenever i try and boot from my thumbdrive it isn't in the boot menu or bios. I tried 2 different thumbdrives and they are bootable on a different computer.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

do you flash the new BIOS Update from HTC Homepage for better USB recognation ? Maybe that helps. Sometimes the Problem is the different USB Boot Modis:
2 that I know:
USB Stick with (virtual) Floppy Disk (Superdisk) Emulation
USB Stick with bootable Harddisk Emulation.
Some USB Sticks don´t boot with pre-formated Filesystem.
Use this tool to format non-bootable USB Sticks with FAT Filesystem:

Don´t use newer Versions of this tool, with newer Versions of this "format" most of the time (booting) is not working.
This Tool is only necersarry if your USB Stick not booting, and is not a guarantee
for booting, but with this tool I become some USB Sticks to become booting
Most Customers use this tool for enabling Bart´s PE Disk Builder on USB Stick, or
other nice tools like Virus Scanners etc.

Drivers are built in; you just need a mini-USB to female full-sized USB cable
i ask this question, when i connected mini USB to external HDD 2.5" and connect external USB power from my laptop.
My 914 dont recognise my external mass storage device in memory applet. and dont show any warning message or so.

perhaps you need a usb host cable
i find 'mini-USB-male to full-sized-female-USB-cable'
but my 914 in memory manager don't show an additional storage (it was standart transcend 512mb flah usb drive)
it is possible to turn in registry or in somewere settings - usb mass storage in this device? that connect standart flash usb drives.
windows mobile may read and write to fat32 or ntfs file systems or both?
Sorry for OT, but I have some problem with this iPAQ. I'm trying to flash this device with the latest ROM using PC with Vista on board. After going to bootloader, installer shows message, that connection between ipaq and PC was lost. Can anyone help me? Perhaps I need some drivers to flash this PDA? When I turn BL mode, and connect to PC, Vista see it as unrecognized usb device...

The last wm6.5 Rom contains USB Host driver or NOT? and mini-USB can offer 5V power?
as the title suggest. my laptop does see the device as in it gives te connect sound and i can see the device in the devicemanager. but i cant acces the USB storage of my phone, not while in android or Recovery. only in magldr i can acces the usb storage with the masstorage option. i have a code 10 error in the devicemanager. and i have researched it a bit but i cant find a fix for it. i already tried to reinstall the drivers (plug-and-play install and manual driver instal) i cant get it to work.
does anyone have a solution?

I have tried multiple roms Nand and Nativesd. all the same result. i think its either my phone or my laptop. but i dont know hoe to fix it.
first try all the usb ports on your computer...if not try deleting the drivers to find it and reinstall it again....try to see if another computer works fine or it gives you the same results...(also i should mention that for me only the original cable works...other cables works only for charging)
then i should try finding my old data cable. maybe that will fix it. with the cables i now have used my pc brings up that little usb thing icon in de statusbar in the right corner. but doenst see is when i open "my computer" . and in device manager it says error 10(device wont start) for WPH-filesystem

I have tried connecting a few USBs but none of them are working. It just says USB Connector connected. When i connected a logitech controller it gave me an error message that it was a high powered device. Not sure if there is something wrong with the adapter or if I need to instal additional drivers/apps to help with the mounting, or maybe change a few settings.
Can anyone verify if they can mount USBs on JB?

Nvm, I got it to work. Found a clue on a different seller's ebay page.
All you need to do is connect the cable to your device and restart it. Once it restarts, take off the cable and connect the desired USB device and connect the cable back.
Also, make sure your USB is formatted as FAT32.
This is what I found on the web:
" By default the Android device supports the FAT32 format only. If your flash drive is in NTFS
format, it will be seen as a blank drive.
For the first time to use the OTG cable, please connect the cable with your phone and restart the
phone. (Before you use USB devices to connect your phone, please firstly connect the USB
devices with the cable, then connect your phone.)
When you need to change USB devices, please unplug the OTG cable from mobile phone firstly,

i hope you guys can help me. I just bought and asembled the android radio into my car. Everything worked fine besides bluetooth (lost connection everytime after 5 seconds)
Anyhow, i changed a (bluetooth) setting in the advanced settings menu after that the android screen where frozen. After pressing the hardware reset botton for 15sec. , the android gui disapeared.
Just the orgioninal (old BMW gui works), touchsreen without function

The supplier send me the image of the firmware to fix the issue, but the device dosent boot from USB nor from SD. Do i need to try to boot from a bootable Android 9 SD (USB) first and then choose factory defaults
and use the image from the supplier for that? USB /SD format FAT32, ore does NTFS also work?

Hello,
The usb drive /SDCard has to be formatted FAT32 and the partition should not be larger than 32 GB.
On some models the devices do not boot from both USB ports (red and yellow) only one does work, try both.
Maybe it also helps do disconnect the car, and boot the device only from Power without the car.
Did you only get an OTA Update file or a complete OS image, can you upload it somwhere for check ?

thanks for your reply, i tried both usb cables, i used fat32 and the USB stick has 16GB the sd card 32gb, i also disconnected the battery.
i havent tried, if the device will boot when i disconnect the battery and put it back on without turning on the ignition. I will try this now.

i with disconnecting the car, i meant it different.
what i wanted to say is to only have power from the car or a powersupply connected to, normally the Unit does as soon as it got power.
another thing you can try it to disconnect the original navigation cable that goes to the android display, to enshure it will only have it`s own source.
does it show no image at all anymore ?
Do you have an USB A-A Cable to connect it to a computer to see if it will be found at all ?
Did you maybe have activated USB Debugging some time ?
i would be interrested in getting the files

Just to give you a feedback on this issue, i got a new PCB from the supplier.
My failure was, that i pressed intuitiv the false botton. "Update Config" instead of simply reboot
