I have a AT&T Galaxy S4. I was wondering if I could use the Bluetooth on the phone to control my Bluetooth fireplace? By way of app or some setting on phone, without root?

Hi!
I'm having a Galaxy S and a Asus Transformer tablet here and typically use the internet connection of my sgs with the tablet. Right now I keep the wifi tethering feature always on but as I also need bluetooth, so wifi and bluetooth are enabled.
The tab is only a few minutes or hours a day in range of the sgs. So maybe it is possible to automatically enable the wifi tether when the tab is in range of bluetooth and disable wifi tether if the tab can't be found.
Is there an app which can do this?
thx
Look into Tasker app, you might be able to program this scenario to work automatically.
Thanks very much!
I tested the app and it has exactly the feature I need.
The only little thing is: It triggers on established bluetooth connections. If a device is just in range it won't trigger, even if it's paired.
Anyway... I wan't to use this tab in my car and there is an bluetooth headset also. I will trigger it to the headset.
does anyone know how to enable Bluetooth Smart Ready® in S4 i9500 Bluetooth manager?
i cant find my polar H7 in Bluetooth device manager, but some software like Runtastic pro can find it without any problem. There must by some way to enable smart ready on S4.
thx
I could not find a solution to this problem after searching, if there is one please direct me to it. Thanks.
I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android version 4.4.4 install on AT&T network. When using my plantronics bluetooth headset with Ok Google detection set to activate from any screen I lose all phone audio over the headset after the first call (ie. the first call works fine but after that I cannot hear anything) Music audio works fine. If I deactivate the detection from any screen and re-boot the phone I get the audio back. I tried the same headset on my son's new Galaxy note and it worked with no problem.
I've read several posts with similar problems but so far no solutions. Obviously, there is a conflict, I'm guessing with Ok Google and the headset both using bluetooth but so far I can not find information on resolving it.
Has anyone found a solution, other than not using Ok Google detection from any screen?
Thanks, JH
Alright,
Quick question, is it possible to make your phones bluetooth connection strength very good, like for example, let's say I've got 5 s8's, and a car that plays bluetooth audio, I've paired all 5 phones to the car, is there a way to make one of the phones pair automatically? Is there a setting on the phone? Or will it be from the car?, if its on the phone,am I able to do this to all Bluetooth devices? So if I go near a Bluetooth device, that I've paired with, and there's someone else beside me that's paired,I want it to connect to mine first,
Thanks
You should first try looking in the Bluetooth settings in your car multimedia system. It's really dependent on each system if it allows this kind of behavior.
Hi guys,
I have a Galaxy S8 Plus running on Oreo rooted, although I have an issue witv Bluetooth and I don't know if it's hardware or software related.
Basically, whenever I turn on Bluetooth, I can't see my paired devices, for instance I have a Gear S3 watch and whenever I turn on BT my phone cannot detect it even though it's already paired, the only way for me to connect it is by launching the Gear app and clicking on connect, and each time it asks for the pairing permission. I do also have BT earphones and the only way I can connect them is by resetting my earphones that way they can be detected by my phone.
This is so weird, does anyone else experience this issue?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
