[Q] Audio home screen (headphone aware) - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone happen to know of a way to add the headphone aware home screen that pops up specifically when you plug in headphones? Had it on my S3, and really enjoyed the feature.

[Q] Beats By Dre Fix [Pay Anyone Who Can]

Hi,
Well I just got a pair of Beats by Dre, and wow do I love it.. The sound is great. Its comfortable. Its sexy. But its not perfect.
The headphone does not allow me to change my volume (which it has buttons for it), and it does not allow me to use the mic while I'm in a call. These two things have been annoying me enough that I will pay some good money, just to get a fix for it.
So if anyone can fix this problem for me... Ill get you some cash with PayPal.
I considered an iPhone 4 for a second to replace my G2, just to get these features. My friends iPhone 4 works perfectly with the headphones, and call quality is excellent. I just don't get it.
Anyways, Anyone up to fix this problem?
Have you tried using your friends headphones in the G2 yet? Not likely but could be a fault with the headphones. Also, are the volume controls scroll based or button?
When you plug in your Beats is it just the regular headphone icon or the one with microphone attached because this happened to me but mine were the in ear ones it showed the headphone icon instead of the microphone icon.

[SOLVED] Headphone -> Line In on Stereo?

I'm not sure if this has been answered (a brief search didn't turn anything up), but it's bugging me so I figured I'd ask.
I have a Galaxy S phone and when I plug it in to my stereo using a 3.5mm -> dual RCA it works great. When I do the same with my Galaxy Tab, I get a buzzing and no audio whatsoever, regardless of whether or not I push the plug all the way in, etc... My stereo headphones work great on both, so I'm puzzled as hell, but do know that the headphones which shipped with my phone will not work with my tab.
Weird. If someone could help me fix that, they'd be very cool in my books (I want the bigger display so I can glance at the radio app and see what's playing when I hear a good song).
Aaaaand to follow up: I'm dumb. My case was preventing the cable from plugging in all the way (by about 1/16"). So if anyone else has that problem, there's the solution!

[Q] Headphone controls

Having a few problems with my headphone controls.
1) If I let the phone standby for about 2 mins with the screen off the headphone controls fail to function. It's only until I turn the screen on that the play and stop button begins to work.
2) The volume or skip track buttons on the remote do not seem to function at all.
Does anyone else on HyperDroid have these issues?
Is it kernel related or a HD2 Android port limitation?
It's an issue for me because I ride a motorcycle and a headphone remote would be really handy and easy to press with gloves on.
I'm using Sennheiser MM30i which are mid-range ipod compatible headphones.
The phone is running HyperDroid on the stock kernel.
Thanks!

[Q] Stuttering when connected to speakers through aux

I've been having a lot of trouble lately with this issue and it's now really annoying...
Here's the thing:
So I turn on Google Play Music, start a song... No problems whatsoever
But then, I connect the Nexus 7 (Headphone jack) <--------> iHome speakers (line-in) with a typical auxiliary cable (actually I've used three different brands) and everything just f*&s up...
I mean...
1) The screen freezes for a few seconds
2) Touchscreen just goes CRAZY, when I press one "button" it senses another one... For example: I press NEXT and it "thinks" I pressed the MENU+GMAIL and then INBOX....when only have finely pressed a small portion of the screen. It drives me nuts.
The funny thing is.... IT SOLVES BY DISCONNECTING THE AUX CABLE!!
C'mon! It's not as it has the best speakers in the world, and I use it in my officenfor background music so I'd really like to figure it out.
Anyone else with this issue?

Problems with nexus 6p when listening to music

Hey guys
I just registered because I experienced some problems with my recently bought nexus 6p. I really like this phone but as soon as I start listening to music using headphones the bugs are invading my phone since I didn't find anything on Google I start this thread.
But let's get to my problem:
I plug in my headphones and start playing music (using blackplayer and Google music). When the screen is turned on the volume turns down itself (I can see the volume bar going down to zero like I'm pressing the button). Also sometimes the powerbutton stops working and I have to restart my phone long pressing the power button.
But also when the screen is turned out I experience some problems. One of the most annoying ones is that music stops and starts randomly (but only when headphones are plugged in!!!). The other bug is music stopping, display turns on and some female voice tells me "Bitte warten! (please wait)" and the screen is gray saying "initializing".
Has someone experienced similar problems? What could help? If you guys need any more information just tell me
I have none of these problems. Have you tried a different set of headphones?
Change your headphones or ensure that they're set up properly. I'm guessing they're wired.
I'm also running into this same issue. I have the latest updates on my phone. This happens about 25 minutes in to listening to media. I've heard that disabling "OK Google detection" fixes it. This hasn't worked for me.
Sounds like wired headphones with a faulty connection to the phones, or faulty buttons on the headphones. I have seen similar behavior with just a wired connection to an AUX Input. The connection on the wire was faulty and due to changing resistance, it looked to the phone like headphone buttons were being pressed. Could also be a fault at the headphone jack on the phone, but it was not in my case. Definitely try other headphones to help narrow down the issue.
