Ok, so everything was working properly until today my laptop stop recognizing my GS4 on ANY usb port (it still charges it but it won't open as a media device or external driver). I haven't installed anything new nor did I updated anything. I've downloaded the gti9505 usb drivers and I've RE-installed kies and still won't work. When I plug my phone in the Driver Software Installation tells me "MTP USB Device Failed" and if I go to the device manager there is an exclamation sign on "Portable devices" / "MTP USB Device".
Any thoughts?

Hello everybody,
last friday I plugged in my Galaxy S4 (i9500, rooted) with my usb cable to my PC, everything was fine. I shut off my computer, went on a holiday for weekend, used the cable with my laptop and my friends' laptops everything was fine. Now I came back home, opened my PC, plugged in my phone, it only charges! I cannot access to my files and stuff via neither My Computer or Kies. It only charges.
My computer uses Windows 7 x64, everything up to date, tried to uninstall Kies, Samsung USB driver, none worked. I tried using diffrent cables, usb ports too. Diffrent computers, no problem. My Pc, only charges
The thing is when I look into my pc's device manager it says "PCI Input Device". When I first plugged in today and it didn't worked it said "Android Composite ADB Interface"
Both had yellow exclamation mark on their symbols. I tried removing them, restarting pc and swiching users, none helped.
Any Ideas?
Thanks..
Problem solved
I removed all the drivers, put my device to download mode and plugged in, worked very well.....
Has anyone seen this before? I connect my usb cable from my phone to my PC, and I get this error. The phone will not show up in my computer.
MTP USB device shows a yellow exclamation point in device manager. Gives a code 10, device cannot start error.
Samsung USB driver 1..5.45 is installed.
I Flashed the latest version of android 6.0 from the google's factory images website, and now want to root my NP.
However, I'm don't see the device in the device manager anymore (I've enabled usb debugging).
"adb devices" returns nothing neither on my mac or windows laptop.
Please help!!!!
OK, got it sorted out
so I left the NP connected to my windows laptop, and played around with the usb debugging,
turned it on and off for 3-4 times and suddenly my laptop recognized it and I started seeing it in the device manager.
but "adb devices" was still returning nothing!!!
so unplugged the usb cable plugged it back in, and suddenly I got the message on my NP to trust the device that was connected to it
after I checked that, now I "adb devices" returns my device.

If you have any issues with Computer not detecting Nexus Player it is the driver. Very easy to sort. Keep the drivers in a safe place and just reinstall by doing driver update and point towards it manually. This worked for me on all roms without any issues.
I just got the 6P on Amazon, used-like new. It has 6.0.1 with TWRP installed. When I plug in the short USB-C cable into my W10 PC, it doesn't detect anything. So I go enable debugging mode, turn on USB-Debugging and go down to "Select USB Configuration" and it is set to Charging. The problem is that it won't let me select any other modes other than Charging. It does charge when it is plugged in so the cable is working in some aspect. W10 device manager doesn't show any new USB device or unknown devices when plugged in.
So I reboot into Bootloader and Windows still doesn't detect any device. I tried all the other USB ports. So I'm not quite sure how to get this device to connect to the computer or to just get it to factory stock.
And in TWRP, the log shows MTP enabled and Windows still doesn't recognize it.
I have a bricked Lenovo K30-W I'm trying to fix (freezes on startup). My computer (Windows 10) won't recognise it when I connect it to the USB port. In device manager, the phone is displayed as unknown, with error "Device descriptor request failed". I tried connecting to different USB version ports, I tried installing multiple different drivers and software, but nothing helped. Adb doesn't recognise it as well, even if I boot the phone to fastboot with volume+power buttons. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Update: problem seems fixed. I used another USB cable and plugged it into an older version USB port. It is now recognised.
