My Galaxy Nexus is due to reach me tomorrow. Got a sweet deal for 199 from wirefly keeping my unlimited data. Had the 175 deal from letstalk but after they pushed my date once again to 1/12 i ordered from wirefly.
So anyways tonight will be the last night for the incredible to be an active phone. Beyond that it will become my backup phone... maybe video player at office.
Enjoy the new phone... I'm still on the fence buying it yet or playing the waiting game. Verizon wants $250 for the phone.

I was on the fence too but got disappointed by the fact that its a CDMA phone.. I was really hoping for at dual CDMA/GSM compatibility....
If you want to mess with ICS while still on the DINC, Kushdeck's rom is fairly stable and can definitely be used as a daily (which i do currently). Its nice to be able to run the latest android on a 2 years old (almost) phone

The flashing process is very fast and straightforward.
Enjoy!

Ya I've been running alpha 5 for a week now, no real issues other than a few freezes. Less than my last GB ROM though.

Hey everyone,
I haven't really been around a whole lot these past few months in this section of the forum for my Dinc, just kind of been poking around and been really happy with CM7 then CM9.
Just wanted to thank anyone who I had interacted with on this forum and any people that I've helped. It's been a great community here with the roms, mods, and the like for the Droid Incredible. It's time for me personally to move onto the Galaxy Nexus. Just got it today and threw JellyBean on there and it's absolutely fantastic after having "essentially" traded my I/O GSM version for the VZW version with a friend.
Droid incredible was an absolute solid choice for my first Android phone. Got it pre-ordered so long ago and has done me a fantastic job these past years. Hope others are still enjoying theirs. See you over on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus section!
I can haz your old Incredible then? J/K. Enjoy. I looked at the display dummy Nexus and S3 and really really really want one of those but I can't bring myself to pay that much for a contract free phone that I probably won't be able to get fully working on Page Plus Cellular since they are 4G phones.
Congrats
Personally, I'm right on the edge of upgrading. DInc has served us all so well for these last 2 yrs. But the GNex is a solid upgrade and with JB coming out we want the latest and greatest.
So do u have the GSM version? I've heard that Vzw is often slow to update OS. Is it worth the extra $? If u flash a custom ROM, that shouldn't be a factor.
Lastly, I'd love to hear ur initial impressions and what you like new vs old. Maybe try to help convince us old schoolers its time to upgrade.
Sent from OG Incredible using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I would also like to how you like it since I am going to switch to the gnex in a few weeks when my contract ends.
Well guess I'll start this one. I am selling my tablet and buying a Nexus 7.
I've put it on Craigslist for $150 firm. I will miss the sd slot. Guess I will put my 32gb card in my note. This is a great community here and I love the official cm support but the Nexus has better. (Support, not community )
If I could just get people to not back out of deals.

Just signed up for E-bay and hoping to get rid of my tab A.S.A.P n get me some A.O.K.P .....on a nice new shiny Nexus 7.
Selling for £100 (Paid £199 for it) and will be getting the 32GB WiFi only Nexus for £199...Yup same price as i paid for my SGT2 7~ P3110
The P3110 isnt a bad Tab , Just the Nexus 7 has more to offer and will have lots more coming its way this year. I'm really tempted to keep both, but do I need them both.
Anyone in London wants a cheap tab PM me lol. Be around for a week or two I guess ?
Its been fun
I would miss the IR blaster
Yeesh!
Scottx and Sean ..... sad to see two of our early and active tab users go. However, I cannot negate your feelings. I myself have been contemplating making this move as I use a galaxy nexus and to me , nothing beats vanilla android.
However , looking at the random hardware issues ( screen lift, sound etc) that people have been posting on the nexus 7 forum...I was not sure if it was worth the gamble. Am pretty sure Asus got their act together...but again...my head says stick with this. And am trying to convince myself that 6 more months and the next nexus tab may land ...
In Any case... Nexus 7 is the best bang for the Buck! It'll be fun.
Have a great life and thanks for sharing and assisting others.

Thanks for the kind words , means a lot
I really do like this tab and have enjoyed watching the development of this tab all the way. Testing out the ROMS all the devs have supplied for us , all the way from CM9 , CM10 , Romswells deodexed stock flavours ( fantastic work),The darkly delicious Baked ROMs and the awesome AOKP builds. Flashing stuff literally every day , customizing it and posting screens. Helping people out when I could was and still is fun.
Personally I just feel that I'm missing out on stuff that the Nexus has to offer, Being addicted to Android comes at a cost lol. I may even keep the tab and use it as a digital photo frame or get a dock and use it as an alarm clock so something. I have had so much fun using this tab and I would miss it in a way. The forum is one of the better ones on XDA for sure and has some great users and devs.
I thank and salute you all. Happy flashing
Hope you guys have better luck with the Nexus than I did. That was the biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. To compound the problem I talked my son into getting one soon after I did and now he's having the same problems I'm had. I practically gave mine away just so I wouldn't have to look at it any longer. I bet I turned the damn thing on 50 times a day after it would just shut down for no reason. Good Luck.
I traded my gt2 even up for a mint condition galaxy nexus gsm international version.
Now I'm selling the note and getting another tablet.
I miss it already though.
Goodbye guys. Thanks for the great times and chat. Take good care of that screenshot thread I made

Thanks man for the kind words. It's people like us that make this place what it is.
Loving this gnex. It runs so smooth. Can't wait to get a Nexus 7 to match. If I come across a good deal on another gt2 I'll buy it. I just couldn't pass this trade up. I really feel like I came out ahead on the deal. My tab was still mint even though I had it since May. That guy got a nice tablet. He might show up here. He had rooted the gnex and changed the kernel. I put 01-06-13 CM 10.1 on the tab and I figure he'll want to update it sooner or later.
Anyway. Take care everyone and feel free to pm me if needed!

So with the recent announcement of the Nexus Experience HTC One I am strongly considering the phone as an upgrade from my ATT One X+. I am mostly disappointed with the lack of AOSP development on the phone and the One is looking nicer everyday that I am stuck with sense.
Was going to hold on until the "Nexus 5" or until I could get a subsidized phone witch wouldn't be until the next gen HTC phone, but the recent announcement has got me considering upgrading now. On the other hand I dont know if I could deal with the 32gb coming from 64gb now. I have roughly 14gb of music, and alot more which I would be weary to give up.
My question to you guys is, disregarding price (the extra $50 means nothing to me) is it worth it for me to go with the developer edition over the Nexus Experience. I love the idea of getting updates right from google, but I also know I will most likely end up using Paranoid Android, CM10, or something of that stature. How long do functioning builds of these usually take to come out after Google' officially pushes their updates.
Also, if I go for either device would development for them be here, a new forum, or in the ATT one (considering I have ATT.)
So considering this should I go for the Nexus Experience, Developer Edition, or just stick with the One X+ and wait untill next years HTC flagship. Thanks in advance
Get the dev edition. 64 gb is worth it. Plus we will undoubtedly be able to flash the Google firmware to any htc one anyway.
And development for it would be here, not in the ATT forum section.

You said it yourself that you weren't sure you'd be comfortable going from 64GB to 32GB. I think you'll be happier with your decision if you wait.

Soon as I get my subsidy back, in August, I'm selling off my 32GB and getting the 64.
With the nexus edition, you wouldn't be able to use your camera to it's full potential. No first experience, but I have read that photos from the One running cm10.1 have terrible quality and I have a hunch that Zoe wouldn't work too.
So if you find yourself snapping lots of pictures especially on children and pets/animals, you would likely be disappointed as Zoe can be a godsend

Yeah but, if you want Sense, you can just flash it (we are on XDA after all). I think the real deciding factor here is the increased storage space.
I read that htc is going to make the camera work well in the aosp version. Probably not as good but probably better than cm10.1 or something.

i say dev edition ftw
The only real thing that I loved about the nexus line besides timely updates was pricing. Since there is no price break I would stick with the dev version. You can flash asop on this puppy anyway

The extra 64gb is definitely worth it if you're going to hang on to the phone for a while. I know they keep saying space will be irrelevant with the cloud taking over, but the cloud is hard to get to while on a 13 hour flight. :good:
Thanks for the advice everybody, looks like I'll be going with the Dev version. So will development for the dev version be here? Or on the ATT forum section since I will be using it on AT&T?
Also on an unrelated note, is there anyway to set the options key to a long hold of the back button in AOSP based roms. I know its possible in some sense based roms, but just curious. If not, apart from setting it to the HTC logo, how do you guys deal with the lack of a menu key. Does that hamper you experience with this phone?

yeah get the dev version and you get the best of both worlds with 64gb.
The development is on both forums, actually they were going to be merged as the tmo, att and dev are basically the same phone. There are more roms on this side, though.
I would only suggest you to flash only att radios for a best experience :good:
Never had to flash radios before. Where do I find them, I looked on both forums already but could find nothing about ATT Radios.
Hello,
i have a Samsung S3 right now with CM11 nightly. It is pretty good and stable. Drivers are not perfect. Expecially camera drivers.
I would like to buy a new device. I have waited for N6 and unfortunally it is too big, too thick e too expensive. So I am thinking to buy a Oneplus One.
I have read around about touchscreen issue. It is fixed ? Drivers in Cyanogen are stable ?
I want a stable phone for daily use. It is ok to test new rom o new kernel sometimes, but i need a stable phone to work with.
What you think ? Should i buy one ?
Thank you !
I have the OPO and its been over 2 month i'm using it!The phone is great and so are the drivers! No touchscreen issues for me!I use multi rom to test new rooms!I think you should go with the oneplus!

I think before making a new thread for a question thats been asked a million times before and an answer that only you can answer you should search for what others have said. Here are only a few I found real quick that can help you out. Lets be honest as well you are asking about rooting your phone and will it be stable. You can read up on any rom you like and find out if its stable but honestly there all based off of cm which is quite stable at this moment. If you are worried stay stock.
First link stock rooted where I would go to ask or rather read up to see just how stable the stock rom is... At least its a starting point. My bad if you think I am being an ass but your question is slightly subjective and all your answers are out there for you. Again my bad

OnePlus One fits a niche crowd, people who like to tinker with their devices and want a true powerhouse to take advantage of. There is also a subset of users that would want a pure-ish Android experience with a customizable interface minus the fluff that comes with a skinned interface like TouchWiz or Sense.
As it stands, I like CyanogenMod without any further tweaks. The phone runs well and doesn't give me many issues to worry about. (Note: no phone is perfect)
If you need mhl, hell no. Otherwise it's the best phone out right now...

Yes though it depends on budget as well I guess. Dollar for dollar I think the OnePlus is still a better buy, however if it's within budget the nexus 6 is clearly the better phone overall.
Mmm bacon
Thnk you all for reply.
I have readed a lot about OPO. I dont like N6, it is big, fat, heavy and expencive. I prefere a 5.5 inc display.
The main problem about OPO are the yellow band and touchscreen issue, that are not resolved with 38R.
I will wait till that problems will be resolved, later i will buy one.
Thank you all !
Its definitely the best smartphone for its price range right now. I have been using it over two month now and i did not have any issue.
Before i bought it, i too was worried about the yellow band problem. But until now I never get the yellow band or touch screen problem.
OnePlus One is perfectly fine and great performance. After i got this phone i immediately try antutu benchmark and suprised that it got the first ranking. That is something to brag to your friends.
As for the rom, CM11S is really stable for daily use and i did not have any problems with it. Great multitasking, smooth gaming, nice camera performance, great speaker quality and great battery life. Plus i heard that they are working to release Android L update for OPO. Cant wait for that. Even if you still want custom rom, most of them that i tried are stable for daily use.

It also depend on how long you're going to keep this phone also. I get at lease 2 phones a year. I have the oneplus one and it always seem like I go back to the Note 3.... But the nexus 6 will be a phone you can keep for another year

Ok if you have read then you also know that not everyone has these issues and the touchscreen issue was software related and those on 38r saying they still have an issue could be user error or faulty devices. Now lets be honest 1+ has sold quite a few devices and I know of at least half a dozen people with them. With that being said I am the only one with yellow banding and its barely noticeable and since the update no one has the touchscreen issue.
Why do so many allow the voices of the few decide for them. At the end of the day it is your decision and if you have done your research then YOU are making the best choice for you....
I've had the s3 and was running cm11 with oneplus mods on it and I can say it doesn't compare.
This phone is ridiculous, it amazingly fast and I have had no problems.
I ordered mine on Saturday and it came yesterday so I've only had a day with it so far but I'm so impressed, would recommend to anyone.
I had a G3, Note3, Z2 and this OPO It's the most incredible smartphone. And the feature that we can unlock bootloader and not lose the warranty is the best!

The G3 was the 16Gb (2GB ram) or 32GB (3GB ram) version?
I'm thinking of buying the oneplus 64GB or the G3 32GB, but i really can't choose which one...
Ive got the 64gb sandstone black, had it for 3 weeks now, worth every penny. At this point the company is well situated and running at full speed, buy with confidence and you will not be disappointed.
You should buy and have a try yourself. For me, this phone is better than expected.
Phone is amazing, period. Get it if you can

For sure. I've been pleased with the phone. The size is nice for me even with my small hands, the battery stands on its own, its plenty fast, many ROMs and kernels to enjoy and for the price what more can you ask for.
This phone should of been the new Nexus 6. Tons of development here
SlimKat or SlimPop
As someone who was in love with my previous phone, nexus 5. The OnePlus is the best phone at market price-wise. If it was priced in the same range as N5 or N6, I would definitely chose a N phone. Software-wise it is kinda buggy (both cm11 and cm11s) and hardware-wise (touchscreen and yellow screen)
I would wait until n6, and then make a choice, because the n6 isn't that much bigger then the OnePlusOne, but damn expensive.
I think I will sell my OnePlusOne when the n6 hit the market, cause I really miss the wireless charging.
