MIUI 1.9.9 which kernel ?

1-stockwell new kernel update
2-Franco 10 sept kernel
which is the best and whats different between
and which governor we must be prefer
franco test bqm
stockwell update come with deadline
and vr
??????
Only you can decide which is the best so try them. And if you bother to read the threads for the kernels you will know the differences.
Some people are so lazy...
stockwell kernel is just updated today.
I cant see any much difference between kernels, the most obvious thing is battery life.
And todays stockwell kernel update on MIUI improve my video recording quality so far.
And i obviously love the feature of lower brightness compare to the default lowest brightness.
@fbl It is not about laziness always I am afraid, sometimes you need to seek for the optimum solution which is/was tested by others, and this is not a bad thing IMHO.
and also my compass i working again

my friends which kernel did you install??
In stockwells latest kernel, compass work flawlessly.
Stockwell did a hell of a job with his last kernel!
Thanks Stocky!
Brgds,
S.
Is there an easy way to combine the two? Each seem to be pretty awesome. Surely doubly awesome together

ROM and Kernel

Hey guys have just installed taboonay's Rom on my Acer and so far it is not too bad. I am using AOKP on my Galaxy Nexus which is awesome, is there anything similar for the Acer. Also does anyone use Franco's Kernel at all? If not, what is a good one?

With ICS, there is only 1 OC/UV kernel, and that is by EZTerry. With kernels, each is specific to the device&OS, so you really can't swap kernels around. You can find EZTerry's ICS kernel easily in the Dev forum.
AOKP? At one time there were a couple folks tried doing a Kang but they were using a non-GPL kernel, so they were not allowed to post here.

[Req] CM kernel with UV

Hi there,
Im searching for the CM kernel with the ability to undervolt as a kind of add in it?
Is such a kernel available? Can anyone build such a kernel?
Thx
Cm is just stock kernel. Faux made an enhanced stock kernel with undervolt and gamma control http://faux.androidro.ms/mako/mako-jb-enhanced_stock_422_r2.zip

Re,
Yes, maybe, there is a lot of good feedback
But I don't use it so I can't really comment, I just read the thread. You have, like said above an enhanced stock kernel with undervolt and 2 other features, nothing more. And you have the custom kernel with overclock CPU / GPU, you can change vibration, I/O scheduler, TCP congestion, etc...
Read the OP for more informations and give it a try

i dont think they built in the ability to adjust voltage. but, since its open source, anyone can build tbe kernel from cm source and add the ability to change voltages.

Incorrect. CM barely touches the kernel as is, but the MAKO developer (his name escapes me) is even more conservative than that. It is nearly stock.

give it time
cm kernels come with everything there is and are often highly modified by the end of a device's life cycle
if this dev is conservative, ok, then it might take longer or until some new kid takes over.
just don't say cm barely touches kernels

Wrong! Try Harsh. It's flash it and leave it. Very good kernel. Highly recommended. Supports UV and uses mpdecision.

both trinity and franco kernels are also cleaned up so theres no bloating. trinity is one of the least bloated kernels as it doesnt include any of the normal "buzzword" additions, only what is needed, highly optimized, debugging removed, "bull**** free" as it states in its op.

[Q] Easy franco kernel question!

Basically, I'm thinking of buying franco's app/or faux's app (haven't decided on which one yet), what I needed to know was can I use that for other kernels?
P.S. Stick to the question, don't answer trickster mod, I know what it is. The question is specific enough, if that kernel allows, can I use this app for changing some settings of that kernel?

Yes! Franco's and Faux's kernel enhancement apps work for ALL kernels. I've personally tested both of them on Faux's, Franco's, AK, Bricked etc kernels.

Which Kernel for Nexus 4 with this Custom Rom?

Hello,
I have the Mahdi Custom ROM 4.4.2 on my Nexus 4.
Only I would like to have a another kernel.
It's a AOSP ROM, so which kernel I can use? Is KK also AOSP?
Can I use the Hellskernel?
You can use hellscore if you like, there's 2 versions, one for CM and one for AOSP.
