I am talking about this btw but does updating this rom the same as others? Install the rom again and just clear cache?

What you're asking and identified is the standard operating procedures with ROM updates and is stated in the dev thread already.

The update section that is on the thread is telling me to wipe my phone which is something I don't want to do

just formant system then install rom then gapps and wipe dalvick

Wiping data is required for installing all custom roms.
Backup data you want to keep, anything you don't want to lose should be backed up anyways...

Is there a general tutorial on xda on how to make 'custom recovery-flashable zip' from an official ota zip??
You need to learn how to edit updater script.. There lots of post regarding this. You can search and look after them @mepsilon2

Yes.. Main thing is updater script for flashing through custom recovery

giving error, any ideas??
Did anyone try this update ?? Did it go smoothly or were some errors generated ? I wanna try this but first wanna make sure it doesn't generate any errors or does something horrible like making the phone stuck !

No.. If you are in sock test 5.0.2 unmodified then there will be no issue.. Tested

:/ that's correct. Try wiping. And if you faced the same then flash 4.4.4 then upgrade it.then flash this 13mb via twrp(actually followed this step)

What now... Is display flirking...? Just keep mobile on charging and use it... It happens with me sometimes..

I'm using Samsumg galaxy J510FN.
My baseband is SM-J510FN : J510FNXXU1APE5.
Can I flash the available custom rom? I'm afraid,because that one for SM-J510FN : J510FNXXU1APJ3.
Will it make my mobile brick?

Yes the rom should work make sure to back up onto the AD CARD
1st wipe everything
2nd flash the rom
3rd wipe dalvic cache
4th reboot
If failed go to back up file you made earlier
