Hey
I have a Galaxy S4-19500. It has the official 4.3 android stock ROM installed. I have tried to flash a stock kernel onto the phone but nothing changes.
How can I get this to stock before I sell it tomorrow?
Also is there anyway to get rid of binary count im on stock unrooted but still getting 1 warranty bit

This is an image of my software settings atm.
Your help is deeply appreciated.
Bumb bumb bumb bumb
Nothing wrong here.
I don't see anything wrong with this. If you haven't tried rooting this before with 4.2.3 then flashed the new 4.3 Firmware manually, you'll be just fine.

Why don't you just flash a new stock rom and start afresh. As for the warrant bit, i don't think you can reset it sorry.
RULE 5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer. (Also refer to Rule 16)
RULE 16. Bumping Threads (posting simply to force a thread to the top of the thread queue)
Do not "bump" a thread more than once per 24 hours.
I only made two threads as one wasn't posted as a question, I tried to delete the other then realized I couldn't.
I needed help urgently i'm sorry if this caused any trouble. I just want the phone to be stock so I can sell it today with no problems.
I already flashed a stock ROM and it won't get rid of that kernel.
As for the bumping , I didn't read the rule and now I have I won't do it again.
So is the kernal i have at the moment stock? Because I remember getting it from Rom Switcher. Im not going to root the phone again.
Then why does it say installed OCT 14? Is that not a custom kernel?
So I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N900t very recently, but I don't what to do first. I have heard and read the first thing I should do it make a complete system backup. Now how do I even start doing that?
Someone and here told me to do it with CWM and TWRP, but didn't explain how, please don't do that explain it to me.
My whole point of rooting was to get rid of the bloatware that came with my phone (which I don't know how to), and to use custom roms.
If you know of any custom roms you recommend please me tell which one and how how to install it, as it will be my first time.
Please be detailed and dumb it down as much as possible as I am very new at this. I'm just a kid really trying to learn.
Someone please help, I'm beginning to lose faith and to think rooting my phone was a very bad idea.
Your best bet is to look at the root thread. It has very detailed information.
Go to CyanogenMod site. You'll have detailed information on how to install CM11 on Note 3.
For other ROMs check the development thread.

Hi guys,
Please excuse my ignorance and thanks for taking the time helping noobs like myself.
So im looking at rooting my S5 to enable me to delete the bloatware and tidy it up a little while not flashing a custom rom but have a few questions. I'm sure they've all been answered but like most things online, the more questions i find answers to, the more seem to pop up.
So firstly I've got a G900F running lollipop. As im only looking to gain root access and not install a custom ROM do i need to downgrade to KK. If this is the case can i pick any date version of the sammobile site, or should i just choose the most recent.
Secondly to root the phone should i just follow the instructions on the link below.

They're not crystal clear to me so are there any all out noob guides out there?
Will doing either of these also wipe my phone and regardless should i back it up and if so using what?
Oh but that link i posted doesnt work so....

That one however does!
Hello,
I really want to root my G900W8 Galaxy S5 which currently has Lollipop, all I really need is root I would like to keep the original Rom. I've been reading a lot on this forum but most options need you too install a new rom as I understand it. I really don't care about nox either as I'm out of the warranty any how. Can you please provide a quick guide or direct me to one that would be best.
Flash this with ODIN 3.10.6
http://download.chainfire.eu/406/CF-Root1/CF-Auto-Root-kltecan-kltevl-smg900w8.zip
So flashing that will I still be at Lollipop 5.0 or does this downgrade me to 4.4.2 I would prefer to stay with 5.0 if possible. Also do I still need to install Super SU and gaps?
Yes it will stay on LP
No it doesn't downgrade you to KK
No you don't need SuperSU, CF Auto Root installs that for you
Why would you need Gapps? You're not flashing a custom ROM
There are no more steps needed or I would have included them in the instructions on how to root your phone - wouldn't be much good if I missed steps out or flashed your phone to a completely different version of Android when you asked specifically how to root Lollipop...
But you know, if you took some time to read some of the thousands of threads with all this info in them, you'd know all this
Shouldn't be messing about with things before you've done some self-educating, or your next thread will be asking how to unbrick your S5
I was already well experienced with Android (Different device) when I got my S5, but I didn't start rooting or messing until I'd spent a few weeks reading a shed load of threads in the S5 forums, until I was 100% sure I knew what I was doing
Word of Advice: Go find the EFS partition backup thread before doing anything else
Thanks so much for the help
My friend and I are noobs and want to root our Note 4 - n910cxxu1coi4 phones running 5.1.1. There has not been a custom kernel released (to our knowledge) and we wanted to know where there is documentation on what files we need, including version of ODIN to walk through the process.
We definitely need step by step instructions; some of the documentation we've come across leave steps out, or are pretty unclear. We've asked Max Lee of High on Android for assistance and he said we'd need to get a custom kernel, back up with TWRP and that he's not seen anyone root our model on 5.1.1 n910cxxu1coi4 yet. We surely cannot be the first.
All help appreciated!

Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Look in the thread linked below, in post #1579 there are links posted for different kernels that will root your device on COI4 /COH4 firmware, find one to flash through Odin.
