[Q] Which KK ROM to choose for audio quality - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'd like to change my stock JB ROM for some KitKat based but I've heard about sound quality issues (hissing and others) in KK Roms. Is there any KK rom which has this issues fixed? It has to be completly fixed as I'm using high end, quadra-armature UE900 iems and SQ is the most important thing in a smartphone for me.

Well what device do you have?

Oh sorry forgot to add... It's D802.

Are you aiming for stock experience or are you interested in g pro/flex experience also if the stock Rom is based on d80220b then the audio hissing has been fixed and the ones that aren't usually include in change log if they fixed hissing sound or not

[Q] TW ( jb 4.3) vs. GPE (kk 4.4)

Anyone running Kit kat 4.4 GPE Rom on GT-I9505??.. specifically those running TW rom before.. Is there any significant improvement as compared to TW 4.3? Is it worth the try?
I'm on omega rom v16 (JB 4.3) and running flawlessly for me but i'm tempted to try out kit kat GPE rom. I tried CM once but it didn't improve performance or battery life(no offence to cm devs) So, I'm afraid to jump on this one...
Any advice is highly appreciated

Yes I did today. There's a few bugs with the GPE edition at the mo such as reboots during calls and when charging I'd advise to wait until these are sorted before trying.
You'll miss the camera app, AOSP camera is lacking in options and modes compared to the TW version, no burst mode and such.
It flies though the rom is very fast and smooth. If you've run CM before than it'd be a similar experience but you'd be running an AOSP version comptiable properly with our device.
Obviously it's AOSP so none of the TW features will be present. It's simple and effective however there's useful things on TW so I've flashed back to that, camera, and such I require I find better on TW.

Is there a Official KitKat ROM for the G2?

Is there anyone working on the official LG KitKat? I know we have some 4.4 roms, but I like all of the "features" and polished-ness of the stock or near stock OS. I am running Digital Dream right now and loving it. I heard that Korea has an LG 4.4 rom... just curious thats all.
Yes there is....
LG is working on a stock 4.4 kk ROM
Apple.... just eat..!!!

Custom Rom recommendations

Hello everyone,
I recently rooted my LG G2, and would like to install a custom rom on it. I have been overwhelmed with the number of the roms that i have found for the G2. Some well known roms such as CM11 and Paranoid Android, and many others. I wanted to ask for recommendations on which roms to install, and whether it's best to install an AOSP based rom or stick with a stock based rom such as Cloudyflex or the Optimus rom. I'd appreciate any help or if someone could point out the feautures and benefits of each rom. Sorry if it's a noobish question
I've tried many, both stock based and AOSP. I've decided to stick with Pardus. It's very stable and battery life is great.
Cm 11 just right from cyanogenmod site for aosp or cloudy g3 get my vote.
Dormanx kernel is good on g2 based Roma with 2.8 ghz overclock, haven't tried it on g3 Rom yet.

Try cloudyg3 rom.. Amazing UI like g3
All apps ported from it
Amazing battery life =)
Thank you guys for your replies. I tried CM11 but would also like to try cloudyflex 2.4. It says that If I used an Aosp based rom, that I should install the KK baseband, but I don't know which baseband to use? I'm using the d802 G2 but there are multiple basebands for the d802. Does anyone know which one I should choose?

I have a d802 model and I've been using CM11 M7 no problems without flashing any different baseband

what is the proper kernel for this situation

so here's the problem I am on KitKat the cloudy G2 ROM and I like the dorminax kernel for the sound improvements I would like to upgrade to lollipop is there a kernel that works with either stock or aosp lollipop that have the sound enhancements and improvements? I've taken a look but I haven't been able to really determine if either the kernel will have the sound enhancements or if it will be compatible. I am using a D801 and lollipop stock just came out for it... And what I mean by sound enhancements is when you flash the dorminax kernel it makes the phone output a much stronger signal providing for better quality music

Or does such a kernel even exist?

Stock VS CM12.1 based

Hello,
I haven't tried CM12.1 or other slim/resurection/ Dirty Unicorns roms because I would really miss stock apps from stock based roms.
So this is my question:
If I do love good picture quality and quickremote apk (and reliable bluetooth), can I still have them on non stock roms ? I would love to have a less battery eater rom but I am afraid of loosing these functionnalities.
Thanks all for your time
a flashcoolick
Tried some roms mate but believe me I'm still on 4.4.2 cloudystock, cloudy flex roms
That's due to :
Cyanogen won't support xdadebbs driver for camera
Battery life is still good on 5.1.1 but I think they having all those lg stock features and same or 1/2 hours more on cyanogen worths it
5.0.2 stock based updates made me furious due to many hangs and less battery life.
4.4.2 FTW
I have been using Inazuma and it's been great on my 802.
