Been using OmniROM for a couple of weeks now. On the latest nightly for the i777. Oddly, I don't see the standard "Clock" app anywhere. I noticed it first when I tried tapping a widget that normally takes me to clock app (so I can adjust alarms). Now, nothing happens when I tap that widget, and "Clock" is not in the app drawer (using Apex launcher, and I've checked that it's not hidden). Just this morning, I did a wipe (system, cache, dalvik), and installed the latest OmniROM, SuperSU, Gapps (BaNks minimal). Generally, it runs fine, but no clock for me.
Still no clock in the 4/22 nightly for the i777. Anybody else in the same situation on this (or another) device?

I need help!!! My Nook Color keeps freezing up randomly and often and i do not know why. I thought it was the launcher i was using but i went back to the default and it still does it. I recently reset my NC to factory default to try to fix the issue and it did nothing. Is there extra steps i should do like wiping emmc or anything along those lines?

What ROM are you running, and did you install to the internal emmc memory or onto an SD card?
Some things to consider. If on an SD card then the card itself can be the problem, particularly if not a SanDisk. Have you tried fix permissions?
I am running cm7.1 on the emmc. I was running the Kang build but that's when i started noticing the freezing so i reinstalled cm7.1. The freezing persisted so i reset to factory default then back to cm7.1. Still freezing
Are you using a weather widget i.e., beautiful Widgets, berry weather, weather and toggle widgets, etc. These all are known to cause random freezes. Also when installing your rom to the emmc, do you format data, system and cache (in cwm recovery)? Necessary for a clean install.

I would try uninstalling the flip clock and see what happens. If it still freezes try it without the BB Disk.

Can you recommend any clock or battery widgets or do all widgets freeze the nook?

I don't think there is a generic problem with widgets and the Nook. It is just that they are a common source of this type of problem and there maybe interactions with other services running on your Nook.
I use Digital clock widget (Maize) and it is stable on mine.
I use the transparent clock widget (it is not a digital clock as every digital clock I have tried causes freezing). New and weather widget (also called Genie widget) does not cause freezing problems so I use that for my weather. You have to Google search for the genie widget as it is not in the market. It is included in many roms.

Why do you need those?
Just for beauty the look of it?
Clock and battery indicator can be shown in the notification.
Hello.
I'm having several issues with the default android weather widget.
I'm using CM7 weekly 4# (Dec 10th) and wiping doesn't solve it, neither does deleting its data folder in /sdcard/android/data/ (which has the words "news-content-cache" in it and I don't use the news feature).
First problem is that even though it's set to auto update, it only updates when I tap the widget to open it. sometimes it doesn't do that either.
Second problem is that when I tell it to update manually it does nothing at all, I have to press the "i" button at the top right to show the daily forecast and only then it starts to update.
Third problem is that it fails to update 9 out of 10 times, even if I set the location manually and not "use my location".
On both WiFi and cell connection.
Picture
I'm not using any task killers and pretty much "stock" cm7 weekly 4#.
This is weird for me because my former Motorola Milestone with cm7 didn't have any of those issues.
So the question is, what am I doing wrong?
Get "Weather & Toggle Widget " from market see if it works better .

Thank you for replaying.
"Weather & toggle widget" is not a free app so I rather not spend money on testing, instead I installed "Weather widget" by the same developer.
It works fine, Oddly enough the stock weather widget stopped giving me update errors for now.
I rather not use third party applications for something that is available by default.
Plus the default widget is simple and clean, the ones in the market are too "pretty"
Edit:
Uninstalling the weather widget from the market makes the stop widget give update errors as I wrote in the first post, installing the weather widget from the market make the stock widget update normally.
Any one has any idea why that is?
Edit 2 : ignore previous edit.
I've installed PA rom 3.60..latest build with matrix kernel.
There are 2 issues, firstly the widgets menu is lagging to the core.I tried with all transition effects thinking that it will change, but no success.
Secondly the phone restarts on its own while playing music mostly but sometime even when the phone is idle or charging.
Tried wipe data, reflashed the ROM and kernel.
The applications installed are also very few.
FYI:there are 22 pages in widgets menu mainly because of Quicknote app and UCCW.
Also Im using Apex launcher.
Launcher wont fix this thing..You can try hiding the apps which has got too many widgets in the drawer eg UCCW,minimilistic text, zooper widget etc.I hope it helps bringing down the Lag

You can reduce lag in widgets menu with the app - auto-starts. Open it, then choose -widget updating, and then disable some widgets that you don't need. I also have PA on n4 and I only have that problem.

check md5 on rom and gapps. Maybe you need to redownload the rom and reflash.
For years I have used Poer Toggles widget on my Android phone but on the G2 it doesnt work properly ( I have tried 5 different ROMs), once the widget is on a homescreen one simply touches the icon and it activates the selected function, the problem I have is that normally the functions that are not active are white (my color selection) and active functions are blue but when I tap say the wifi icon the wifi is activated but the color does not change to blue, same thing when you tap other functions, they are activated but the icons do not change color...normally once installed the widget works ok for a while (hour or so) but then the color changes stop working, can anyone else confirm this, widget works fine on my HTC One which is in the drawer since I got the G2, thanks
this problem happens with other widgets too (WiFi Manager is another example where the widget does not reflect the activation/deactivation on the widget)
I have no problems with it on PA 3.99, works just fine as it should.

thanks, have no idea why or what causes this issue with certain widgets... I'll try PA and see
No problems here.
and some other widgets get stuck on "loading" (BBC widget) and others are just blank (GReader)...? any ideas from the tech savvy guys as to what the issue could be?? thanks
wonder if its related to the screen itself? but am unsure
Works perfectly on any roms I used so far

looks like it may be caused by a conflict of some sort between apps/widgets (if this is possible)?? did a factory reset and installed Power Toggles, and widget worked perfectly then few hrs later restored all my other apps with Titanium and immediately Power Toggles widget was 'broken' after first reboot...??
This is now second time in ten days that I did Settings, Backup and now I can confirm that both times I lost my widgets (MIUI 12, A11)
First time I thought maybe it was by incident but now, I observed right away after finishing Backup that widgets were gone
Actually, I had four widgets and only one of them survives the Backup: stock Weather app
Three others were gone (removed from Home screens: Google search and three different weather widgets.
Corresponding three weather apps (user/data apps I installed myself) are still present, but widgets are lost.
Google app was stock, it is ofc still present but it's widget is also gone
Edit: Third time, same happened for (all MIUI 12, Android 10):
1) Stock EEA 12.0.3
2) Xiaomi.eu weekly 20.9.17
3) Xiaomi.eu stable 12.0.4
The same happened to me. I am using Mi 11 ultra with xiaomi.eu rom 12.5.11
Any solution?
Same here. This goes not only for widgets. All shortcuts placed by Chrome on home screen using "Add to homescreen" are gone as well.
