I have a question, today i noticed that i got a little scratch on my screen and that caused some visible pixels in the white color, is that reparable ?? And what caused that ??
- I'm using no protection of any kind for the moment, if i buy a screen protector can that scratch become kinda hidden ??

Today I noticed that there is a lighted grid within the display which can only be seen when in sunlight, even when phone is sleeping (screen off) is this normal, has anyone else seen it?

This is indeed normal: I have it and others too. I don't know the exact cause, but I thought it had to do with the "touch layer" which is placed in the glass.
It's just weird that it is visible when screen is off

The capacative layer needs metal to know where your finger is. Metal reflects sunlight.
Guys, I got my nexus 4 a few days ago any it's been awesome!! Today I dropped my phone any it got scratched!! The scratch is slightly noticeable when the screen is on and very bright! I can also see a rainbowish effect (very very small) when the screen is on!! Is there any way to hide this scratch!! Please please help me out!!! Thank you!!

Please ignore the typos!

Don`t think you can hide it with a screen protector, but you could try. Maybe it will look a bit better. Best way would be to have the screen replaced. Didn`t you use a case or bumper? It is a glassy phone proned to shatter on impact.
Did you even try Google? If it's not as bad as the one in the linked guide, just cover it with a scratch protector and you won't be able to notice it.
Alright, I am using a poetic borderline with my nexus, I ordered a nillkin screen protector... Hope it works!!!

Okay, the screen protector turned out to be matte and it just made the scratch look worse. Ordering a wet install screen protector soon.. Any idea if they will work?? I can feel the scratch when I run my finger nails over it and it is clearly visible outdoors!!

Hi guys,
Have any of you got an S4 with faint black line across the screen? It's quite hard to notice as it has to be seen from about 45 degrees angle and when the light is off. I took notice of it from few days ago, I thought it was nothing but now I can always see it from 45 degree angle. It doesn't affect the screen quality when it's on.
I saw few threads related to the bad quality of Samsung galaxy S4. Should I be concern with my faint black line on the screen, such as it may develop into larger crack... I hardly put it in my pocket and most of the time it is laying on my desk so it shouldn't be caused by pocket pressure

Nvm, my mistake the faint black line apparently is caused by the screen protector. Should have checked it before sending question out

Don't worry, you shall witness another blank line anyway in few month , right under the status bar , maybe not just a blank line , but an obvious blanker area around it
Hello! So i've bought a new screen protector and went to a proffesional to apply it. All good but i notice that after a few days this weird thing, some parts of the protector became whiter, as in white spots and lines and i can' t get rid of them by wiping no matter how hard i try. Now this protector has an anti glare coating and the guy said that it will worn off in time. So i'm really puzzled about this, what do you guys think?

Better change it if you've bought it form that professional then he's faking it a good quality screen guard doesn't give any patches it'll be exactly the same like your screen you won't even feel like you have it over screen ive got one from 1year and its still looks like some days old! [emoji6]

Definitely looks like the screen protector is causing it. Can you remove the screen protector and see if that removes the tint?

Looks like a protector is on. You should remove it and check.
Indeed. It's just the factory applied protector is coming away isn't it? Hard to tell from those pics with all the reflection. Down on a flat table would have been easier to see

No brother , I have not put any screen protector.
that is not bubble , that is coating fade away .
So sad I have got manufacturer defected phone.
It REALLY looks like some kind of protective film. Are you sure it's not? I've never heard of "coating fading away" before.

I do not see anything remotely looking like a screen protector or anything like that, that said, it is just an unfortunate production malfunction which can always happen and so obvious you don't have to worry about it and can just return it to get a replacement. I do not really see the need for a whole thread on such a problem.
Would I feel bummed out about it, of course, but these things happen and are easily solved. Thread closed?
