Hi everybody !
Since the last KitKat update, I quite enjoy the latest bootanimation. However, I wanted it to make a full circle (if you look closely one of the four color, it only makes two rotations)
So with the help of @overhauling (take a look at his thread and app, it's great !) I changed some of the files
How it was :

How to install it ?
- Go to data/local and save your current bootanimation (in case you want to restore it one day)
- Replace it with the one I provide in this thread
- Set permissions rw-r--r--
- Reboot and enjoy !
Note : I won't be responsible in case you lost your phone or have a bootloop, make a nandroid backup before any changes

the guys in this thread have put together an awesome keyboard replacement. however, because of Tattoo's small resolution, even the low-res version looks like this:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
I don't know how to modify the keyboard so it would work on Tattoo, but maybe someone else can. please go to the original thread if you think you can help developing the app.
+1 would be cool!

Hey Thank you. Let me see if that works
No, It doesnt work . I got this messege Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES]
How did you install it ?
You have to push it with ADB.
Im doing this:
Code:
adb remount
adb push HTC_IME.apk /system/app
adb push Clicker.apk /system/app
adb install -r HTC_IME.apk
adb install -r Clicker.apk
adb reboot
You don't have to install it ! Just reboot and it's done.
I did it. it keeps the huge keyboard
This is how my keyboard looks, its hard to tell but each letter is a little bit vague but it works ok... i would like to know if anyone else has this problem, its almost like each letter looks hand drawn with a pen !!!
..
fixed
ignore my last post !!
was on wrong track.. tattoo res unsupported, in process of fixing now..
.
some news from that thread:
It's not technically difficult to port the mod to Tatto. However, I don't think that I will ever do it given what I have to work with now. I don't have the time to keep several code bases up to date (spare time project after all) so I must be able to share code bases between the different resolution versions. The two current versions are from Desire and Legend. They are essentially the same from a code point of view so it's feasible for me to keep them both updated. The current Tattoo version is an older HTC_IME generation with several differences in the internal logic. It's possible to port my hack one by one manually to the Tattoo version, but I don't have the time. The source code is posted so anybody who want's to start working on it can do so...

I get Install_Failed_dexopt when trying to install?!
Well I can try mess a bit around with it... but it's smali files which isn't my strongest site, sadly
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
though it would best match t&a, let me know when it's solved and I will move it accordingly then
I checked again the thread and in the first post there is no longer a warning that the keyboard doesn't work on tattoo.
however when i did a quick search though the pages i didn't find anyone who would successfully install the keyboard on tattoo. someone mentioned that it doesn't work correctly, but only in landscape mode.
i will try to install the latest (27) version later today and will post screenshots afterwards.
I've tried the newest v27 and the keyboard is still too great. No Screenshots there because nothing changed.

Admit it, you secretly like emoji icons that iOS users seem to (ab)use in their messages.
OK maybe you don't, but you do hate the "blocks" or blank spaces appearing in their place on Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, Email, SMS, etc.
Google knows. And has worked out a way to implement their own version in Android, starting from Jelly Bean 4.1.
Now, ICS users seem to be out of luck and that made me think and finally figure out a way to implement them in ICS.
Here is a little sneak-peek on how they look:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Note that they are black and white. This is because they are font symbols and not drawables (as they are in iPhones).
HOW?
First of all, Android uses a set of so-called "fallback fonts" for displaying characters that are not included in the primary fonts (DroidSans, Roboto, etc).
In the older days, to get emoji support, we used a modified DroidSansFallback ttf file, placed in /system/fonts. Well, if I wanted to merge AndroidEmoji font and DroidSansFallback, I'd probably lose a great part of my patience sanity and eye-vision... (there are 471 emoji icons)
So, I modified the fallback_fonts.xml in /system/etc/ and added the AndroidEmoji.ttf, as well as changing the priority with which the fallback fonts are called.
And TADA, I could view Google B/W emojis everywhere!
HOW DO I INSTALL IT?
Flash with CMW.
(If you are rooted and on stock kernel, check how to get CMW here)
Preferably make a backup prior to installing.
I am not responsible for your device, YOU are!
Nandroid backups take 5-10 minutes to complete and can save lives.
Enjoy!
The tinkering needed for it to work on all devices is minimal.
Depending on the company, there may be different fallback fonts included.
For those you feel confident enough to edit system files, all you have to do is
add this line in the fallback_fonts.xml, save it, replace it in the CMW zip and flash:
Code:
<family>
<fileset>
<file>AndroidEmoji.ttf</file>
</fileset>
</family>
Just make sure it is before all the other entries, so that the Emoji font gets called first upon an unknown character.
HOW CAN I PUT EMOJIS IN MY MESSAGES/STATUSES/TWEETS/etc?
If you also want to be able to insert them anywhere, you have some choices:
1. A brilliant choice is Multiling Keyboard, which uses the newer encoding system.
2. There is also Emoji Keyboard.
However, it uses and older encoding system, so you will also need to flash this package. This mod is totally independent, you can flash it whether you flash the main mod or not. They will not interfere with each other at all. Having both mods means you can view emojis of both older and newer encoding.

Thanks for spreading the word!
I spent my earlier part of this evening making this with a tool.It's an aroma installer package and for those who don't know what that is it's a mod which gives u an extra GUI in recovery and allows you to pick what mods you want to install.It's limited right now and read all here before messing up your device and coming back to report an error you made.
Disclaimer:I'm not responsible if your phone explodes,shocks you or melts or whatever.Do this at your own risk if there really are any.
The first version of this mod has 3 sections.
-You'll find root apps.Framaroot,root tools and xposed installer.Choose if you want them.
-You'll find nodo camera mod(don't use if you aren't on stock),and the xperia gallery app and more in the app section.Don't install oppogallery2 if your not on the stock rom except you want to try and you know how to revert.
-The clock widget section is a choose one only option to choose between the Oppo green,red,yellow clock widget respectively.Don't choose the 3 or you'll end up with the yellow.I included the order in the title so you don't have to remember.(due to renaming issues I had with the aroma compiler you need to go into /sytem/app and rename any oppodigitalclockwidgetG or r to "OppoDigitalClockWidget.apk")
This is the beginning and I'll add more and keep the package apps updated.
Hit thanks to say thanks and happy flashing.This are all compiled by me so if you share give me credit.

go read Somewhere what is an aroma installer and what is its purpose.Don't bug the thread. Read and understand before posting.
all I am saying is this thing serves no purpose. none of these things require recovery to install so you've effectively only increased the complexity of installing them.

It's an all at once install package of all those apps. I maybe doing debloating very soon and ur comments are just discouraging me. There is more to the power of aroma and I started with apps only.

Ok now I understand, it's a work in progress. My apologies.
A debloating script would be a welcome alternative to installing Color Mod
although, may I suggest, we keep the debloating script and the bloating script separate?

Thanks for the aroma installer, add as many options as you can, I really appreciate it myself. I really don't see why their should be any complaints at all, the aroma installer is a very good option. If you don't want the mod that is in the aroma installer then don't select to install it. I don't think some people know what aroma is, and how Dev's make things easy for a lot of people with this tool and really how nice of a tool that it is. It really makes things very simple to add mods and apps and do so much more with your device in a very easy way, its as easy as it gets to be able to select what mods, apps, and so many other options in one simple to use tool. keep the installer going add whatever and as much as you can, and once again thank you for your time and hard work.

Since I'm lazy, and hate making custom roms.. I might create a mod zip to make dpi larger. Of course it will replace some of touchwiz apps but I don't think people will mind. I should of thought of that lol. I will set the dpi to the one you suggested for T700. For T800 (this rom) it's set to 340dpi. Will work on the mod zip sometime soon.
At first moment, I suggest 384 (320+ 20%). I hope, when you break this development it will be possible to adjust it.
It will be best to use it with most popular t700 rom (@basic), but it is more complicated and I am sure you must coordinate wit him about this.
So, if you make it first for stock rom, I will test it with pleasure.
Just give me instructions...

Its been a really long time away from Android ROMS for me but I remember this being an issue some times in the past. Seems like the system was looking for the folder to save the screenshots in. Could be "sdcard/pictures/Screenshots" If that folder doesn't exist create it and that might fix it.?

delete the old screenshot file and it will create one itself. this usually happens when your previous backup conflicts with new rom.
