Stock Gallery Collage Quality - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys!
I'm trying to make a collage using 3 photos in the stock gallery, I have made a few of them. I'm using all high quality photos to make the collage, however, when I make the collage, it shows up as very grainy on the phone and on PC. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!

Long press a picture... check the box for a couple pics... Press menu and hit collage.
Then avoid hijacking threads. Just kidding

Black preview screen for photos and videos?

Anyone else's preview screen when taking pictures or videos is black? Why doesn't it show the viewfinder?
Also, I posted this question 2 hours ago but the thread was removed? What gives? If a thread is deleted at least PM the poster and explain.
Thanks everyone, this has seriously been bugging me and I'm not sure if it's a problem with my Note only.

I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean that when you tap on the camera app, it opens the camera interface, but you only see black? But when you click a photo, it comes out fine?
If so, it seems to be an issue with the software.
Yeah that's exactly it! Anyone else!?

[Q] question Android 4.2 Nexus 4 360° panoramas

The new model of google smartphone.
they wirte on the selling page"Amazing Photo Sphere camera you’ll have to see to believe.
The first phone with 360° panoramas.
It’s like no camera you’ve ever seen. Up down and all around you, with Nexus 4 it’s more than panoramic, it’s like you’re actually there."
and can anyone show more about the : 360° panoramas about this phone
Check out some examples on Google+: https://plus.google.com/photos/110023707389740934545/albums/5808606988734372865
The images are only a 360°C sphere when uploaded onto Google+, on all other occasions they're just flat huge panorama-like photo's, made of 20+ photo's stitched together.
Has anyone actually managed a perfect picture using this 360 camera app?
If you check those examples. https://plus.google.com/photos/110023707389740934545/albums/5808606988734372865/5815232959605498370
This one ^ This is the similar to the result I get though mine are much worse. The bits where the parts don't match or doubled up....
When I shot a photoshere, it worked in my mobile but when I shared it to Google+, it was like just a photo, without sphere button on it. How did you do it? , sorry for the dumb question.

It's easy to get perfect if you shoot landscapes. I've got some great ones while hiking/snowshoeing. Close up objects are difficult to get right. There is a thread around here somewhere with tips on how to improve your shots. The tip I remember is to keep the phone in the same place in space and rotate it rather than you to get the shot.

This app right here. Has a bunch of awesome shots.

since asking the question I have taken quite a few of these Even on Googles how to take them decribes the camera as not being able to do close objects or people. Then I realised it wasn't me messing up

Yes, I completed the shot. It works in Gallery and if I copy it to PC and upload to G+ it works too. Dunno what went wrong with either Gallery or G+ in my mobile that prevented me from doing just that.

To get a perfect shot you need to rotate the phone about the lens, and not your body. Now do you see the problem? It's pretty much impossible to achieve without external devices.

I was replying to that post about shooting panoramas.

It may have been more clear what he was replying to if he quoted the post but the point is far from nonsense seeing as it's completely true. The only way to achieve a perfect photosphere is to use the camera lens as the centre of the panorama and rotate the device around that point.
I have quite a few perfect 360° shots by rotating myself not the phone.

You can take some very good photo sphere by rotating your body, but they won't be "perfect" because you are using your body as the axis instead of the camera lens. When you view a photo sphere, you are viewing it from the center point of the sphere. If you used your body as the axis, there is going to be small amount of stretching because the photos are taken at a distance from the center point of the sphere.

Are you talking about the mini planet ones or the 360° ones?
Here's one I did rotating my body ad the axis, seems pretty close to perfect I can get.

Camera or camera app

Anyone know of anyway to make the camera on the Nexus 4 better? I think the only thing I don't particularly like about this phone is the camera. Shots are too dark, too much flash, the HDR are always fuzzy. Do any 3rd party apps improve the camera, or are there any mods I'm missing?
Thanks in advance!
AW: Camera or camera app
Hdr is fuzzy because you dont hold ur n4 still. You can improve it a bit but you cant really See a difference. just the size of the photo is much bigger of the photo. There is no thirdparty app that takes better photos as the stock app

I know you can't move with HDR I've taken them with the phone still as possible still fuzzy.
Focus seems broken on the camera. Please star this issue to help get it seen to quicker

Cool, thank you!

gettingi the camera to capture the image instantly?

whenever i take a picture it takes a few seconds for it to actually take the picture.... is this normal? or do i need to change certain settings so it captures the image instantly?
make sure it's focused first, otherwise it will try focus then take the picture.

I think that it is the 'normal' behavior, reported also by other users.
Beside focusing before making the photo, it might also work to select the mode in advance.

in my view it is NOT normal.
Latest firmware update have reduced this lag to"almost" zéro. MEA was the first to well adress this issue, now we have MF8 release.
try Camspeed app at the play store, you will see the point you get and check with the relevant op on this subject
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2286244
.
My latest firmware is xuamdm at the end. Anyone else got different to this?
It should capture an image quicker than it does. Thanks for your replies

[Q] camera doesn't save settings

One of the most used apps is the stock camera app. But I'm a little annoying with it. For example. When I record I like to always have it on SMOOTH 60 fps video. When I exit and resume recording, it goes back to the normal setting. Is there any way around this?
I hate this too. Anyone have a hack for this.
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It doesn't end there. When trying to take a selfie the front always reverts to best face shot too.
dont forget the thanks button if I helped out!!

there is a modded apk which makes 60 fps recording default.. but it's only for n900 I think there is a similar one for n9005 too.. but for other settings I dunno, I hate this too
