[READ]Custom 4.0.4 ROMs-NOT until source drops!

Im getting tired if I read in a rom thread "is this rom 4.0.4 based?"
NO ITS NOT! (not until the source drops, or we get a ota! )

Just wait for version 4.0.5, which will be released next month (March) for the NS.

ok, so no full aosp roms...but what about customized stock roms?? You don't need source for that, do you? Can't we just get some roms built on stock 4.0.4 with some kang features? That's what I really want anyway. IME, stock roms are always more stable, and the customizations are a really nice addition

No the custom roms based on 4.0.4 are based on the leaked 4.0.4 build. NS4G didnt get the 4.0.4 update yet.

Yes, if you want a good rom. Otherwise, there's no much you can do other than change some of the packages.

Hardware LG GT540 (msm7227) - dont support triple buffer and vsync. This components need for Project Butter UI which using in 4.1, so I dont sure if 4.1 will work on our phone, maybe CM will make dirty-hack.

miroslav i ported the rom android revolution hd 4.1 jellybean rom and while flashing i got status 0 error

made a mistake android revolution was android 4.0.4 i am now downloading stock 4.1

if gt540 need jellybean it needs a suitable kernel

[Q] Nexus 7 Custom Rom On 4.2?

OK, so I'm new to this forum, so hi!
I am running Paranoid Android on my nexus and was wondering whether there are any roms based on 4.2 since it is now available.
I dont want the stock rom though, as it doesn't have the customization features that i want.
So is there a PA or CM etc. rom on 4.2?

I hate to say it but 4.2 based PA has made me switch to CM 10.1 nightlies for my custom ROM. I really wish PA would have stayed CM based for 4.2+. PA around 2.54 was incredible but removing many features is not what I would consider an improvement IMO.

when can we expect a stock google AOSP rom?

Wondering when that might be likely? Can i port it? if so how do i do this? this phone would be awesome on stock google experience

Be patient. Its not like we haven't had 1000+ of these threads already. At this point, devs are still trying to understand the LG G2 system and perhaps we won't see a CM 10.2 (Android 4.3) ROM but maybe the devs will start with a CM 10.3 (Android 4.4) ROM. At this rate, Android 4.3 will be OBE as soon as Google announces Android 4.4.

There is an active WIP CM thread in the android development section, you should check it out its been very active. Btw we are very close to having an AOSP based stable rom here, keep an eye on that thread.

Would it be possible to port jellybean based CMs, CM11 and FirefoxOS after a stable cm9 wit the new drivers that Broadcom relased for our chipset??

its possible if broadcom 'release' the drivers i think.

by new drivers i mean the new cm9 stack they gave us...

Broadcom drivers are already released. We are currently waiting for a stable CM9 build from the developers. We hope they will make their best and in the future there might be support for newest CyanogenMod builds, like 10 or even 11. Let's hope everything goes well.

If they release the drivers that allow CM10 and above to be compatible with SGY. The current drivers are only useful for CM9.
