[Q]Hide status bar

Hey guys. Anybody have an idea on how to permanently hide the status bar and make it pop up only by a gesture??? I search hard but the only one I found is unfortunately incompatible with our phone

Currently i dont have a status bar and i kinda like it cause screen is much bigger but there are a few disadvantages to it... im looking for a way to have a hidden status bar that can be revealed via a gesture or a long press on a certain area of the screen

I kinda like it... it gives a bigger screen... but cant see my signal... i have made workarounds to view battery notifications and toggle buttons but i dont know how to see my signal in home screen... is there a widget in playstore for signal??? cause i cant find one

I haven't really decompiled SystemUI.apk, but supposing it's an Activity, we could turn it into a dialog or pop-up just by editing the AndroidManifest.xml and a smali file.

I have no idea in modding apks except for replacing the png's in then but i think its not gonna be easy to do that... in the manifest or the smali whichever it is youd have make modifications in its code to specify what area of the screen to press and hold and how many sec. Or milisec to hold before it pops up...

I have no nandroid backups on my phone either. No music (except for that cached in Google play music which is counted in apps), and no movies

That does look a bit odd. Try this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage
It's a file explorer that graphically shows the size of each folder in your phone. Might help find where any large amounts of data are store.

You have 4 TWRP backups taking up 8 gigs. It's right there. If you don't need them, delete them. Solved.

nandroid backups(via recovery). each can take a lot of space depending on how much data you have. go to that location in your file system and delete a few.

As long as you're sure you don't need those backups:
Using the disk usage app which you posted a screenshot of, click on the TWRP folder, click the menu button (3 dots at the top right), and click "delete".

Ok. I cleared data and disabled Google search.
Now I am left with this plus sign in the corner.
When I press it, it brings me to where I can add widgets and such.

Are you installed an other theme (not available on phone or on LG Smartworld) for the home launcher?

That was it.
I installed a theme from the internet and when I uninstalled it, it uninstalled my home launcher.
I did a factory reset and all is good.
So beware everyone!

Very low internal storage??

Each time I download an app from the play store I get a pop up saying that I only have a few megabytes left on my internal storage.
How is this possible?
I am rooted on tmobile variant.
I don't have that many apps installed at all!
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

I saw getting the pop up earlier today then I couldn't download from the store at all.
Kept getting error 491.
I cleared the markets cache and data then restarted my device.
I can download now but the pop up about low storage is back.

I have had this problem before on my nexus device, apparently it was a TWRP issue when 4.2.2 came out.

I too was having this issue but haven't had it in a while or maybe it was on the G2 I bought and since returned. But regardless I remember having this issue with one of my G2.

Try going into the settings and delete your sychronized google account(s). Restart your device, then sign back into your account on your device. See if that fixes it.

Ok, last option i can think go back into settings and delete google accounts again,then boot into recovery and wip . Cache and dalvik. Reboot and sign back into google account. Let me know if that works.

He may not have added the feature, it has nothing to with having or not having the AOSP browser installed though.
Edit: I checked the Hyper thread and he does not list the AOSP navigation as an option.

gotcha. but beans does right? i would prefere to stay with hyperdrive,although beans offers a feature i would like to have.
I also understand that having AOSP browser has nothing to do with what were discussing.

It's on hyper drive 6.0 go in to hyperdrive tweaks and scroll over to statusbar and enable it the phone will reboot then go in to xposed and mod it to your liking.

Did you enable xposed frame work got to do that first then do the soft keys and mods.

I use xblast tools and wanam and a bunch of others also I found a touch wiz launcher 5x5 in themes and apps I put that in also but the xblast has the custom setting for the nav bar.

When your in hyper tweaks scroll past the status bar a few you'll see xposed open it hit install then reboot then go back in and to xposed and go in the download area of it to pick the mods download install open mod and set them the way you want then reboot and all should be good. Sorry I'm usually the one on here asking for help not offen giving so bare with me please.

Go to statusbar scroll down to soft keys then on screen controls then hit enable buttons that's when phone should re boot and is ur xposed frame work should be installed to 47 and 42 both in a different color from the numbers to the right of it if not in stall that then follow the instructions I laid out for ya ok if you still can't I'll help ya tomorrow I work from 5 am to 5pm just pm and I'll give you my cell and walk you through it all step by step ok.

i tried to enable buttons it executes but my phone doesnt reboot. when it didnt reboot i manualy rebooted and no soft keys. i also downloaded xblast and i still get nothing.

It worked i now have softkeys yeeeaah. Now all i need to do is figure out how to change them around to my liking.

When you figure that part out please let me know. Lol I hate the back arrow in the front.
