[Q] PC user using mac soft brick help needed - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys(gals),
looking for help in regards to updating the firmware on my n9005 using a Mac (i ****ing hate these things).
Details:
N9005 rooted and using Bobcat ROM v2, tried using Mobile ODIN Pro to flash Bobcat ROM v4.
Intsall seemed to go as clockwork.
Problems:
Phone only boots up to Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen and no further.
ClockworkMod button config doesnt work, on screen all i can see is: RECOVERY BOOTING....(in blue)
Set Warranty Bit: recovery (in yellow)
If using DOWNLOAD button config i can see: ODIN MODE
(in white) PRODUCT NAME: SM-N9005
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
CURRENT STATUS: CUSTOM
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
(in grey) QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWERV: S2, T2, R2, A2, P2
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
Underneath this you have the Green Android LOGO/Icon, followed by Downloading...DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
Now if i was using a pc i think i could probably sort this issue out by using Odin and flashing from there but as im using a ****ing Mac (which led me to using Mobile Odin) i have no idea what i should be doing to fix this problem.
What i would like if possible people are the following links:
1) A Mac software which i can flash like Odin which is reliable (IVE INSTALLED JOdin3 casual, is this the best to use?)
2) I have CWM recovery 6.0.4.7 tar (in which box do i need to tick and add this file?)
3) I have bobcats ROM v4 zip (in which box do i need to tick to add this?)
I want to thank all in advance for any step by step instructions given in advance, i hate asking for your help guys but using this Mac has really thrown me.
i look forward to hearing from you all

I have the exact same issue, need help ASAP please..

Not sure if Heimdall works on a mac, it runs windows and linux so imagine there is probably a Mac version also.

[Q] Could not do normal boot!!!

My phone was heating up really bad and the battery only charged up to 84% so I pulled out the battery to cool it up a bit and I put the battery back on and it boots into download mode and it says "Could not do normal boot" at the top...
My phone was rooted and flashed with X-Note rom. I flashed it few months ago and it was working extremely fine. I tried to install stock rom N9005XXUDMJ7 with Odin since I was already in download mode, but the Odin keeps showing "FAIL'... basically I can't install stock rom or I can't turn my phone on...
Anyone know what to do ?

Is the x-note rom based on KK? If so you will need to flash a KK rom, not JB...

That seems to be a slightly bigger failure in the flash memory
Try to write in Odin the corresponding original stock a few times. If that fails read those threads where it is described ow to do a full flash erase/repartition.
Have you tried to boot into safe mode ?
This probably wont help but try it anyway:
Power off phone.
Power on, keep pressing the power button for 5 seconds after the phone turns on, hold volume down and release the power button.
Hold volume down till boot process conpleted.
good luck !

[Q] Stuck in ODIN mode

I have the following problem and no matter what I try I can't get it to boot normaly.
The device is a SM-N9006 which was rooted with RDLV and MJ3 firmware. I put echoe rom on it and it was working fine.
A few days ago I wanted to update the firmware, so I downloaded the new echoe rom which installed through cwm nicely but after booting into it it kept hanging (not responding). Even the initial configuration had to be done in 4-5 parts because of the restarts that needed to bring it back to life.
So I decided to Flash a Stock firmware on it. Used N9006ZCUENF3_N9006CHNENF3_CHN in Odin, After restart the phone surprised me with the message:
Could not do normal boot.
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N9006
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A2, P1
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
At this time also didnt work so whatever I tried to boot I ended up at this message. Tried to install several CWM versions which didnt help but after installing Philz Recovery, I could get into recovery but still no luck in booting normaly.
Tried flashing N9005 firmwares which failed in Odin (which worked before).
The only stock firmwares I can use now are the N9006 ones but no matter which one I try nothing lets me boot normaly.
Tried the Download Mode entry - Cancel method, the battery, SIM takeout method. Did several data, cache, dalvik deletion, nothing helps.
Please help what should I do?

Problems with i9506 Telekom - please help

Hello together,
I bougt a phone. It 's working well with Android 4.4.2. I would like to root it and update it to Android 5.0.1 with either the original rom or cyanogenmod.
The problem is hat the previous owner did something with the phone. I could not get into recovery mode (Vol Up + Home + Power ). In download mode I get the following error:
Could not do normal boot
odin mode
Current Binary: Custom
System Satus: Custom
Knox Kernel Lock: 0x0
Knox Warreny Void 0x1
Qualcomm secureboot: Enable
AP SWREV: S1 T1, R1, A1, P1
Write Protection: Enable
UDC Start
Buildnumber: KOT49H.I9506XXUCNI1
Basisbandversion
I9506XXXUCNF3
Is it possibel to reset the phone with the original rom and how? Where can I get it and which version is the right one?
How could I fix this? I searched a lot but could not solve the problem. Please help me.
Thank you very much.
Michael
- Just flash the stock rom through Odin.
or
- Install custom recovery and flash the custom rom you want.
That's it.

Phone stuck on "Samsung Galaxy S5 .. Powered by Android" screen

So originally I had 5.0 stock firmware that was updated through Samsung Kies.
Then I started using Samsung SmartSwitch (new Kies) and it told me I had a new update. I tried installing it and it failed.
So phone was stuck and error message showed ".. update failed .." and so on.
I decided to put the phone in download mode and flash the stock firmware via Odin but no matter what I try, everything fails.
As of right now, I've read and tried multiple things. Like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784880
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/help/wont-past-s5-powered-android-screen-t3225682
When I go to download mode on the phone, here is what reads on the top left:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G900V
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
REACTIVATION LOCK(KK): OFF
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T2, A1, A2, P1
SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE
UDC START
The following guide shows very good instructions with all the files but I am unsure of which version I should be using or even the file for that version since there are SOO MANY files there. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784880
A little detail answer would really be appreciated.
Thank you!!

Stuck in Downloading Mode (Could not do normal boot) ODIN Mode: (High Speed) 0/3 Knox

I tried downloading at least 10 different firmwares from the latest to the original 5.1.1 that was installed on the phone. Either odin freezes or they are corrupted. Is there any hope?
THe short story: Root was a success. Tried to open snapchat, read the whole story on that. Decided lets get the xposed framework. After going through the hassels TWRP and CWM wouldn't let me flash (ready for the stupidness on my part?) so I found another tool that would let me flash (this https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960) and wellI ended up with the downloading screen. It all looks normal here is what it says
Could not do normal boot
ODIN Mode (highSpeed)\Product NAME: SM-N910T\CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
KNOX WARRANTY: 0X1 (3)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
AP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A2, P1
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
UDC START
I tried using keis firmware upgrade I type in the model and serial but it tells me" the model information that you have entered cannot be verified; the device initialization cannot proceed" there is a space after the main s/n and then a wx but if i try it with or without the space at the end it fails to accept it.
On a totally separate note if i were to buy another phone, could I root that phone remove the bloatware, unroot the phone. Snapchat should work properly then right?
Is it possible to have a brand new phone, copy the firmware from it
on the corrupt phone erase it completely and flash the firmware from the new phone onto it (basically a clone)?
What are terms I would look up to accomplish such a task if it is possible? Or even a guide?
