Predictive Text doesnt work in Facebook when editing comments - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Having issues in Facebook with 4.4.2 - making a comment is fine, but when I go back to edit it, I cannot - the moment I press inside the text box to start editing the predictive text line flashes above the keyboard then I cannot type anything.
However, if I turn the predictive text off, it works fine.
Is there a work around for this? I've tried both Samsung and Google keyboards, both have the same issue
This only started happening since upgrading to 4.4.2 Poland stock rom.

Default keyboard Bug

Maybe I got a lemon, I bought my mytouch the first day it came out,
one of the very first things I did was to install handcent sms and Keyboard, which I had on my g1,
when I went to settings/locale, and selected the handcent keyboard as the default one, everything went fine, but, whenever I tried to input text, the default android keyboard would still come up, I uninstalled handcent, and installed better keyboard, and the same thing happens again,
is this a bug?
am I doing something wrong? which I don't think so.
did I get a lemon?
Long press on where you enter your text, this should bring up and option for changing the input to whichever keyboards you have installed.

Thanks a lot, I was going in circles trying to figure this one out.

Swype bug in stock email app

I like almost everything about the stock email app. One thing that really bugs me is a word correction bug for the keyboard, Swype.
Typically with Swype when you see a word that's wrong, you tap it, it becomes highlighted, and a list of suggestions pops up for replacements. If none of the suggested words are correct, you swype it again and it replaces the highlighted word.
However in the email app, the word is not replaced, but another word is inserted wherever the cursor is. Then if you tap elsewhere, you get a word inserted wherever you tapped. So to edit text, you have to manually move the cursor to the end of the word you want to replace, delete it, then re-type or re-swype it.
Anyone else bugged by this? It doesn't happen anywhere else.
for me this happens not only in email, it happens in messages too! as i see it it's some sort of bug which occurs after a while of usage. after a reboot it works again as it should (highlights the selected word, replaces it with the choosen one)...

Interesting. I never use Messages (I use Handcent instead) so I've never seen it there. The bug isn't erratic for me; it never works properly in Email.
Edit: Actually I just tested my stock messaging app and I don't have the bug there.
BTW, this bug has persisted from stock whatever was on the phone back at the beginning of November when I unboxed it through now, with LA4 on it.

Typing in browsers is not working properly

First let me tell you that this has been going on for a long time. I first had trouble on latest stock ROM. I factory reset it and still had problems. So I just now switched to Paranoid Android because I thought it was my ROM that was broken since it happens on all browsers except for Chrome. It still is happening in the default browser that came with Paranoid Android.
Here is what is happening.
I go to any page on the web that has a multi-line text box. I try to start one with text already in it, like by quoting somebody on a forum. I start by highlighting a word and copying it. Then if there's text in the box I place the cursor between any two letters. Then I click the handle/cursor until paste comes up, and right after I do, the cursor will move somewhere like in the middle of the next line or lower. This happens even before i hit paste. If I use the copy command like in thumb keyboard by assigning paste to a function key, sometimes it overwrites text to the left or right of the cursor. This stuff happens with any keyboard including stock android keyboard. Sometimes I'll be typing text and then backspace stops working. Sometimes when that happens I have to click with my finger somewhere if I want to change something. But sometime that doesn't even work. Sometimes I will paste text at the bottom of the quoted text and the text will magically somehow be pasted at the top. This happens often. This only happens in browsers. I've tried stock, boat browser, dolphin. It happens in all of them. This is all repeatable for the most part. I'm at my wits end. Does anyone know what I can try? Is my nexus 10 broken? It seems like a software issue, but I don't know how since I've wiped everything and started over.
Any help appreciated. Anyone who can fix this I'll buy a beer.

Problem with Auto Replacement

I have a new S4 GT-I9505 Android Version 4.2.2
I have a serious problem specifically with email. When I turn on Auto Replacement in Predictive Text, my typing goes haywire. I would be on Line 3, and suddenly the cursor goes into line 1 or 2 and inserts a word or replace a word that I have previously typed!
The only way to fix is to turn off Auto Replacement.
I have tried turning off Auto Replacement and used SwiftKey, Same issue... Swiftkey would also cause my cursor to jump up and insert some word on another line.
Has anyone come across this?
Thanks.
Any help please?
thanks

It's a known bug, very annoying indeed.
Change your keyboard to 3rd party or email client to 3 rd party client.

I've not seen that but I've seen another problem where the 'custom' dictionary takes priority over the included dictionary. So when I added all the bad words I know, my phone started auto-correcting just about everything to bad words. Maybe it's just forcing me to be more honest with people.

[Q] predictive text / autocorrect turns "off" on its own

i seem to be running into this every now and then, where my predictive text / swipe / autocorrect turns itself off in my messages (texting).
i check my settings, and all seems well; its not something im "doing", it just happens every now and then.
now,, i am using a Gear 2 neo watch, and sometimes use side-sync for typing, ect when im at my computer at work. could the side-sync app be confusing the phone somehow? turning my autocorrect off?
seems like the only way to get it back up and running is a phone reset, which is getting a little annoying to be honest.
thoughts?
