Hi i have Huawei u8800 x5 with a boot problem as it gets stuck on the android boot screen. so i was just trying to install MIUI rom.
the problem is basically i am unable to install CWM even if i go to the pink screen and replace the recovery.img with the CWM recovery.img and reboots with VOL+& Power the phone still goes to the same old recovery screen which is in Blue text and says
Android system recovery <3e>
android system recovery utility
i am not sure cause when i remove the betery and go to the pink screen it shows the same file with the same sizes as it was by default. (eg. original recovery.img on internal memory is of size 9872 MB ,and i replaced with CWM recovery.img of size 5714 MB.) but when i just replace the files and putoff the phone and come back to the PINK screen i see the same original file size on internel memory (eg. recovery.img on internal memory is again of size 9872 MB)
Guys Please Help i am confused and am not even able to boot my phone. i am lost on how to get my phone up.
its just and phone whose OS is alive but doesn't boot up
Appreciate support.
Have you rooted your phone? If you havent, then install official update, root phone, and then install cwm.
Sent from my u8800 using XDA App
thx. but can you put me a link for official update, as the one from the Huawei site are not working.
Appreciate it.
When on pink screen, connect device with pc and check the Image partition with windows check disk for errors.

Hi guys, I need some help, I received OTA to 6.0 but I can't upgrade because I can't restore the stock recovery on my phone.
I tried using the commands "fastboot erase recovery", "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", using Rashr, TWRP and many others but the stock recovery doesn't work, in the recovery screen I get the message "No command" and the dead android figure with a red triangle.
I already downloaded the stock firmware and flashed all the files a lot of times and I also have copied my OTA file to external SD card to use it again later.
Someone knows what is happening and how to restore the stock recovery? :crying:
EDIT: I just found a solution in other place, the firware file was corrupted, I downloaded it again and now the stock recovery works.

Have u try using Odin to flash a stock image?
Are you trying to downgrade? Try the last firmware of 5.1.1 (just before marshmallow)
Accidentally wiped my system with TWRP, flashing the rom with TWRP isn't working either (stuck in bootloop). I was hoping that I could flash the android recovery image and install the update that way. Model - WW-14.0210.1806.33
Firmware download for my model (can't find the recovery image in it)- https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/Zenpad/Z500M/UL-P027-WW-14.0210.1806.33-user.zip
