[Q] Blur home - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all people...
I like the GB Blurhome very much, and i wonder why some blurhome scrolling are really smooth, while some are laggy?
Last time when i was checking video review of this phone, the Froyo blurhome was very laggy and some other review i saw it was very smooth.
Which is same for the GB blurhome, some are lag some are smooth... Can i know which build are smooth?
Does this has to do with region? Based on those video review i saw, mostly American and European region are laggy, where else Asia region are smooth...
Thanks

I'm not sure, but maybe carrier bloat plays a role in that.:sly:

It was quite smooth when I ran stock (I had Retail Asian stock). But I'm not sure if my memory's cheating me, as I've not gone to stock for quite a while.

Just got the tab

I got the tab two days ago, I love it! I updated it to 3.2, but there is one think that bother me, it is not that smooth and fast on homescreen. Will it solve with ICS?

I noticed that too. I've only had mine for about a week. I would suggest installing ADW Launcher for Tablet. That fixed the issue for me. Plus, its way more customizable.

Absolutely. ICS browser has a new way how to display and load webpages. Also beta of Chrome is already pretty fast...

So I just got mine yesterday and wanted an opinion. As I like the front facing camera for video chat I don't yet want to do CM 9.0 (I know ICS is awesome!). Which roms are the fastest running HC with and without TW? Which ones are you guys using?

Honestly they're all almost the same.
Although I would put the latest (non-ics) in this order:
1. Galaxy task 14 Slim/Fat
2. Overcome (latest)
3. CleanROM (HC 3.2 TW)
4. CleanROM Rewind (HC 3.1 AOSP)

So when the screen shuts off on Task 14 and I try turning it on it's all f*&ked up and when it updates to the newest market it just crashes on me. So I"m going to try a different rom.

It isn't the ROM bro. But good luck with the next one you try.

So if I isn't the rom what is it? I would like to get task working to check it out. I'm not claiming to be a pro but is by far not the first device to send around the after market block.
Overcome is working well but the kernel it comes with is not overclockable or undervoltable. Are all 3.2 kernels compatible? Which ones would people recommend and with what settings? I know I'm being lazy here but I do appreciate the help.

Latest version of Temple Run works on ICS!

Swipe bugs fixed!
We can all breath a sigh of relief.
So as I told you in another post, it was not related to Sony's ICS. The Update Log of Temple Run also says that it was fixed the ICS problems.

YES, of course
Stock Samsung 4.1.1. It fast, smooth and all the hardware works unlike any of the third party ROMS
Can't beat it for stability or speed.
Or if you are really daring, get the Samsung 4.1.2 from KIES

Yes stock, now that JB 4.1.1 update has arrived. I actually tried them all (Roms) here and all are very good. For now, I am running stock JB with KK-Boot kernel and SD swap script. All is smooth and working well!

I don't understand all the comment saying "the stock rom is very good and smooth" cyano is more smooth and don't contain all the soft from samsung that are horrible.

Is the N1 ColorOS coming to Find 5?

Hey guys.. The new color rom ui looks beautiful and fresh on the n1..just wondering would it be coming to the find 5 sometime?
I think sooner or later it will, color rom is already available for find 5 on the oppo forums, don't know if it's the same or a different version of color rom.
My guess is it will be the same ROM

if it isn't.... with oppo's track record on new-ROM creation, think the ColorOS for N1 will be stable, or beta-ware?
To be honest that's a great question. Firmware has gotten much better and continues to get better but can it be labeled "stable" with the amount of errors and problems some users are having... ? Not sure lol.. Hopefully stable
Sent from my Find 5 using Tapatalk 4
I'd rather see a ROM from CM with all the "features" such as Dirac audio and a fully featured camera app working.
The ColorOS got ported to htc one.. Seems like it can be ported to any phone with a base like miui.. Wow!

I would expect this to be the next beta rom from oppo. They need to update there gpu drivers as the framerate is a bit funny but after I installed them it was fine.

Nope because it is so bad that I flashed AOKP 4.3 again. It is like latest Color ROM V1.01.
I thought they'll be using the same rom on all theire devices with, of course, device specific changes?
