Hi friends,
My 16 GB Hong Kong model is stuck on boot screen after trying to install 4.4.2. Please help me with a PIT file for the 16GB model.
Also, any suggestions for getting stuck at 'invalid ext4 image' while installing official 4.4.2? Tries leaked 4.4.2 and SweetROM as well, to no avail.
Someone that have a N9005 16 GB can extract the pit file whit command attached.
Type this on Terminal Emulator and send the out.pit (or rename it to N9005-16GB.pit) here to OP.
See attach jpg:
PS: This is only to 8 or 16 GB, no more.
Does it have to be from a phone with 4.3? I have the HK 16gb, but im already on sweet rom 4.4.2

Guys, what's the problem?
when I was on 4.2.2 I successfully flashed (from here, 9505 with pit. Just wipe data, cache, dalvik cache...)
Germany DBT (October 2013) (firmware with Enforcing SELinux. SECURED BOOTLOADER WILL BE FLASHED, NO DOWNGRADE)
PDA: I9505XXUEMJ5
CSC: I9505OXAEMJ5
MODEM: I9505XXUEMJ5
Version 4.3
firmware and am happy using it right now. 2 yellow text lines on every boot doesn't change anything...
Now am running the same firmware with thisROM (Very complicated to install, but its very very very fast and smooth
P.S. If you have issues with ROOT and CWM/recovery menu - reply (this) my comment and explain what's wrong

Well... First read everything
Try to install CWM or philz touch recovery meniu. Then when you there, format everything including data, system etc... But don't format SD card, becouse it doesn't change anything.... than try to flash your phone via odin using 3.09 version (I used it - I succeed) using pit file also from HERE (at the bottom pit files, odin, everything you need to download...)
Talking about format data, system etc... am not sure if it not brick your phone, becouse I never tryed, but therefore Odin installs everything for you, so... Need experienced XDAers to appear in this thread and confirm if it's ok...

I know what you're thinking who's this retard that can't google.
Well in fact i have googled every about unbricking my note 3
I have done every thing, using odin using the stock firmware, using the leaked 4.4.2 update for the note 3
I have followed method for youtubers named Jared Busch/Smoking Android
and DroidModderX ROOTAllTheThings
So whats my situation
When i boot my it just stays at the Galaxy Note 3 screen and stays there
But when i is Taemask Cyanogen is just stays at the cyanogen boot logo
So i when i restored to stock firmware is just stays at the note 3 logo
Then i installed TWRP because the using the stock firmware unroot and deletes the custom recovery
Then i wiped the cache, delvik, etc
And it still wont boot in to normal android
So what i need is HELP

I had the same situation.
1. Flash 4-file STOCK rom with Odin setting [x] Update bootloader option
2. Flash single file ROM
If yours is Hong Kong Note 3, current KitKat is not for Hong Kong edition.
Hong Kong edition is one of the unique N9005 which won't friend with the rest of world N9005 means you cannot flashing any official ROM from others country.
If that is your version, the only solution now is install SweetROM v7 KitKat.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If yours is not Hong Kong edition but one of the N9005 variant, then did you tick Phone Bootloader Update, if not tick it at PC Odin and reflash the ROM.

Here's the 4-file stock rom courtesy of Radicalisto.
One file rom here on mega.
Hi,
I am confused about PIT files. I have a 16GB S5 with the Vodafone IT carrier.
Is the PIT tied up to S5+16GB+Vodafone, or is it tied up to the ROM version (S5+16GB+Vodafone+Android-x.y.z)? That is, given the same model, carrier, and ROM (stock), is the PIT updated at each OTA?
And, do I need to look for an "updated" PIT file if I have the following flow over time:
- have stock official Vodafone IT Kitkat
- flash various CM ROMs
- flash the official Vodafone IT Lollipop
Thank you.
hello
The pit file is a partition map.be carefully with pit download for ur modell of device
---------- Post added at 06:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:49 PM ----------
You will find in xda pit file
Thank you, but this does not answer my question. I know what a pit file is, but I do not understand if
a new pit file is produced at each official Samsung release for each S5 model. So, we need to backup every time
OR the pit file never changes for a specific model
PIT file is for the specific phone only, not ROM
It is a Partition Information Table

Ok, so if there is a ROM update by Samsung, even if it is a major release (e.g., from Kitkat to Lollipop), the PIT file does not change.
Was asking because I was wondering if a ROM might require a different partition table.
Thank you!
No, that's why the PIT files have the S5 model number and storage size as their names
ie: G900F 16GB
Updates by Samsung are designed for specific devices, that's one of the reasons you can not use a different devices ROM on your S5, along with other things like drivers etc
Hey guys, I'm having a little trouble trying to flash my rooted 32Gb UK EE Note 3.
I want to take it back to original firmware from EE, so downloaded N9005EVRGBPB1 but it fails on flashing due to partition size issues.
I have no backup pit file (stupid, I know), so I can't repartition this to successfully flash the ROM. Where on earth do I find the correct pit file to flash alongside the AP file that I already have.
Eeeek....and cheers!
Where did you get the firmware?
No to worry, sorted it. Cheers!
Hello jonboyuk I have the same problem. How did u sorted out please help
This is the mega link of pit file for the N9005 international note 3 32gb don't forget to hit the like bottom!!!
