Just flashed faux123's kernel and bought his app on the play store. Can't seem to find anything related to touchwake/sweep2wake etc. How do I enable it? Is there another app I should be downloading?

Hi.
I own a P5110 tablet and really like the Touchwiz UI, but sometimes find it a bit laggy.
Is there a way to overclock the stock rom? I don't want to go to Cyanogenmod and loose all the Samsung's stock apps and functionality.
Thank You!
You can root your device and use an app from the play store?

I don't think is so easy. I believe you have to flash a kernel that allows you to overclock. This is what I'm asking here...
When I installed CyanogenMod 10.1 on my Nexus 7 there was a servere shortage of apps in my app drawer, any ideas guys?

Can you provide the link to the gapps zip you are flashing?
What apps are you looking for exactly?
The ones from here 'http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050821&page=149'

I didn't see any gapps zips on that page...
You need at least this package: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip
For CM10.1 Nightlies since they are 4.2.2 now.
I've used them but I will try again

All the google apps, I also re-flashed it and it still didn't work. :l
Well the apps that come in the gapps now are Talk, Play Store, Browser, Calendar, News, Quick Search, and some other minor stuff.
Gmail, Chrome, Voice, G+ and others are downloadable from the Play Store.
Is there not a pack with them in?

Not to my knowledge no. They are excluded in the zip as they as downloadable from the Play Store.

Make sure you reboot once with WiFi on.
As long as you have Play Store - just go in and search for any Google app, then scroll down and find the line that says MORE BY GOOGLE INC. Tap that and you'll see everything else you can install.
Is there hack or anything to bring back the previous Play Store without it updating to the new one?

How did you get the new one ? I still have the old play store, version: 3.10.14.
It updates automatically. There's probably a way to modify the play store to disable it from updating.

Install the old apk and then follow the instructions in this article. It's old (the screenshots are of Sense 2.3 or 3.0 if I'm not mistaken) but I think it should work.

Ah, that may be a slight flaw in my method. Sorry, in that case I can't really help you. I couldn't find any equivalent looking apps in the settings either.

I don't know if this is a tried and tested method but on two devices I use, the Play Store both updated after I made in-app purchases.

Hi, I have downloaded the ChelpuS Google Play Installer, but when I run it, it says; "root access not found! Installer cracked google play need root access to work" . I haven't uninstalling the google play yet. My question is :
1) Can I uninstall Google Play Store (4.1.6) by using Titanium Back Up?
2) If I had uninstalled Google Play by using Titanium, will it make the ChelpuS installer work?
3) Do I have to uninstall / install other things beside the Google Play?
I'm using TWD_MID tablet. It is rooted. I've already installed the Root explorer and Titanium Backup. Would be grateful if you can answer my dumb questions. Thank you.

I used to be able to install non-market apps that I had downloaded on the internet. I have checked in allow unknown sources app to be installed. The only major thing I've done since I was ABLE TO INSTALL NON-MARKET APPS IS: I INSTALLED Liquid Smooth Rom (Sorry caps got locked.) and mess around with a lot of settings; but I can find anything I did wrong. Yes I checked and Unchecked and then check again allow installations of unknown sources. Please help. Not a Nobie. thanks in advance.

Sweet Thank you I figure out how to disable Halo and Installed Free Riptide GP and Playing sweet. Why does it do that? Is it because is still on Beta phase and it has a bug or what?

It's a security feature built into android that prevents overlays from installing apps.
Thank You. Could you please explain It's a security feature built into android that prevents overlays from installing apps. I'm an Eager Beaver to learn.
overlays have more access to your systen than typical apps. its a security feature so that a malicious overlay doesnt install other malicious apps into your device without you knowing about it.

short answer, you don't, they removed it.
If you are rooted go to the play store and download AOSP Browser installer and install it
